I ordered this to replace the cheap light fixture in the continental bath in my 20-yr old manufactured home. On the positive side, the fixture is sturdy, the shape is interesting, and the bell shades are pretty. It can be installed with the shades facing either up or down. Normal Installation will be very easy (mine required adaptations because manufactured homes don't build or install fixtures with standard measures).

My disappointment was with the finish. I had replaced the front door lock set and the kitchen faucet with brushed nickel and was very satisfied with the light color and soft patina of both. This fixture's finish was darker and dull...almost looked like metallic spray paint.

Fortunately, the electrical box was installed high on the wall, so the first thing you see is the shades. I am keeping this light, but

won't buy this brand when I replace the two light fixtures in the master bath.

Works great looks nice. What I liked was this unit didn't require a pre-existing wall-bracket to install this. It takes the standard base/type-A screw bulbs which are more common (and not the candelabra base that I didn't want)

This looks great in my bathroom! The only thing I would say as a downfall is the threads cross so easy and get stuck and you have to fight it to get it on and off. I dread changing my lightbulbs but other than that I really like the look of this light.

I needed a 24" light fixture and white globes and oil rubbed bronze backing plate. Aesthetically this fit the bill perfectly. The finish matches my Moen Danbury fixtures perfectly. The wiring is simple, just wire nut the pre stripped white/black wires to those coming out the wall. All hardware included ( drywall screws, wire nuts ), just add bulbs. Ive uploaded a picture also.

As always amazon came through with 3.99 overnight shipping ( Prime ), and was here in time to finish my remodel before the weekend.

We purchased this type of light kit as we could use the medium base fluorescent light bulb with it. The shades do not come with the fixture, but the light bulbs do. It provides the equivalent of 240 watts of fluorescent light. You cannot use regular incandescent 60 watt bulbs with it as it is rated for a much lower actual wattage.

I wanted a fixture that didn't have to have candelabra lights which burn out much quicker than regular incandescent bulbs so this was the way to go. My husband installed the Quorum fan and the light kit and told me that it was the easiest one he has ever done and he has done a number of them over the years.

I plan to replace all of the fans in my house with this style of light kit, so I recommend it highly for those who want an extra amount of light from their fan lights.

We purchased this light fixture for over the kitchen island. We like the overall look/style but please note that the actual color of the shade is yellow rather than white as shown in the image. The yellow tends to defuse the light so it is not as bright as we would like. During the day light it is not a problem but at night the light is not as bright.

While the light fixture itself is a breeze to install, I was disappointed that there is so much light showing around what should be a "flush mount." It is IMPORTANT to purchase the thinner fluorescent lights as we almost broke the fixtures trying to force standard lights is such a tight space. The wiring will prevent a standard bulb from fitting. The instructions simply state "fluorescent" bulb with no specifics diameter size (I did not even know they came in different diameters). Lastly, it is virtually impossible to screw the thumbscrews into the shade holder...soooooo frustrating that I am NOT looking forward to the time when the bulbs require replacing. The last step was one of the most frustrating.

We purchased two of these lamps and love them both. One has perfect lines going around it (the black on the shade) and the other has choppier lines going around--you can tell they were probably hand applied, which makes each lamp unique. In a dark room, one lamp will light up the entire room enough to read. The only reason I gave this lamp 4 stars, is because the on/off switch is on the cord, which means you have to reach behind the night stand to turn it off. Otherwise, great lamp!

(In the technical details it says bulb not included, but in the product description, it says it is included. Ours DID come with bulbs included.)

I've had this lamp for a few months now. I like it. A lot. It has an art deco feel. Simple, yet not boring or cookie cutter. Each shade appears to be somewhat unique (the process of blowing the glass and applying the intersecting lines is not robotic which results in some small and charming variances from shade to shade).

Purchased the lamp for a bed side table that was small so wanted something that was just the right size plus be a good light source for bedtime reading. Hit a home run with this lamp. It is the perfect size, puts out the right amount of light for bedside reading and is a very nice looking addition to the table. Love the switch on the cord which makes it more convenient to reach to turn off/on. Was glad I read other reviews before I purchased the lamp since they were correct in saying the light bulb does come with the lamp in spite of what the lamp description says. Am definitely pleased with this purchase.

I'm currently using it with a iPad controlled Phillips color changing LED bulb & the frosted glass becomes saturated with color. The stainless steel base is made with somewhat thin gauge metal but it has sufficient mass that I don't worry about knocking it over. The glass arrived in perfect condition.

First the positives:

I was really pleased with the finished look after installation of this light. Very attractive and stylish and just the finishing touch I was looking for in our new master bath. We have a 13' ceiling and just as the other reviewers stated, I was impressed with the amount of air that just the two blades moved.

Now for the not so great stuff:

I found the light to be very dim and ineffective. It is so dim, in fact, that I sometimes leave it on as a nightlight when we have guests. Fortunately, we wanted this fixture for the fan more than the light so that was not so much an issue, but others may feel differently. The real disappointment came when after only an hours run time, the fan developed a loud and obnoxious clicking noise that it makes with every revolution. We had our contractor back out to check it and he confirmed that the problem lies within the fan itself and is not an installer error. Now we have to figure out how to either fix, return, or replace an installed ceiling fan that has been upgraded with a remote control that was purchased seperately. To make things even better, our contractor discarded the original packaging after installation and a successful first few minutes test run. I'm kind of thinking that I'm either going to have to learn to live with the noise or be out the cost of both removing and replacing this fan as well the purchase price of the replacement.

I'll leave an update in the future if I am pleasantly surprised by either Westinghouse customer service or Amazon returns as I try to figure out how to address this issue.

******UPDATED 7/17/12******

So now it is three months after the initial purchase. A few weeks ago, the clicking sound which had become intermittent and then more sporadic over time, stopped altoghether! The clicking went away just as mysteriously as it appeared. I'm really glad I won't have to replace this fixture (at least for the forseeable future) and am much more pleased with my purchase. However, I would still only bump my rating up to 3 stars because of the early misbehavior of this product and an overall lack of confidence. Hope this info helps!

Since this review has been voted helpful so many times I wanted to update it once again. Absolutely no issues since the posting one year ago. We have been using it quite a bit this summer and the noise has not reappeared and the fan continues to function well. I'm really pleased that the issue resolved itself and we ended up with a reliable product.

This was my first ceiling fan purchase and install. I knew I had wanted this fan for my house for the last year or more. I have been comparing this one (which is the Home Depot version) to the Allen Roth Santa Ana (the Lowes version). Both look almost identical with the two fan blades except for a few differences which I will point out to help other buyers make a decision on what they are looking for...

1. This fan (the Harmony) has 2 connection points per blade compared to 1 on the Santa Ana. Not sure if this makes any difference but the overall sturdiness and build quality of the Harmony seems very good and the motor is very quiet. Some reviews state there are some quality issues with the Santa Ana

2. The Harmony uses pull chains to turn on and off the light and adjust the speeds of the fan compared to a wireless remote on the Santa Ana. I wanted the pull chains since I was wiring this up to wall switches to control the on/off operation of the fan and light. I have read in other reviews of the Santa Ana that if power is cut to the fan by a switch, the remote will have to be re-programmed again to control the fan.

3. The biggest difference that made me go with this fan, the Harmony, is the fact that it uses standard Candelabra based bulbs. I wanted to run cfl or led bulbs to cut down on heat and energy consumption. The Santa Ana uses a special 100 watt halogen bulb that can only be replaced by the same thing. This will give off substantially more heat and use more energy. I also read reviews that this halogen bulb doesn't last very long. The only benefit it has is a dimmable function on the remote. I could add a wall switch dimmer and run dimmable cfl's or led bulbs if I want the same effect though.

The only other decider I could think for someone else to go with the Santa Ana over the Harmony is if they were installing the fan in a high ceiling location where the control chains could not be reached and the power source was constant with no wall switches. But even then, Westinghouse makes a wireless controller that is compatible with this fan and with a combined price close to the Santa Ana at Lowes.

One other thing to point out, this fan is listed having 3 speeds when in fact is does have 4 speeds just like the Santa Ana.

I hope this comparison will help those looking for these fans

Update...I am running 2, 13 watt daylight candelabra based cfl's in this fan and it is very nice and bright in the room. The stock 40 watt standard bulbs are dull and dim.

I read the reviews, and was a little skeptical but I really liked the style so I purchased it. I'm really glad that I did. This fan is sooooo quiet that you don't know that it even on! The style goes great with my modern furnishings and the light although not extremely bright, offers a nice light for my family room without being overpowering and glaring. I would definitely recommend this fixture especially if the style is to you liking!

Buy it for the fan, not the light. It is stylish and the two blades create good air circulation. The lights are very dull so I just turn them on as a nightlight. I would buy this fan again and would recommend it. Just be aware that it will not serve as a source of decent lighting.

I was excited to get this replacement dimmer, only to find that the lamp tube has to be at least 1.5 inches. Mine is 1.25 inches and the dimmer will not fit in the tube. It says on the package the dimmer came in but not in the online description. Now I have to find one that will fit a 1.25 inch tube.

Avoid this one if you can, the shaft is made of threaded nylon and is rather short. This combination makes it very difficult to install the retaining nut on the dimmer shaft. Look for a unit with the metal shaft (like the OEM unit that came in my lamp).

I have a 1 3/8" diameter lamp, and the dimmer switch was broken. I had previously ordered the plastic dimmer replacement version from Amazon, but that model did not fit into the housing, so I decided to try this one. I was able to fit this dimmer into the tube and get it to work, but not without some modifications. As another reviewer commented, the plastic dimmer knob/switch does not come out very easily. When I pulled it off, it looked like I did some damage. After putting the dimmer in the tube, I realized that the knob/switch would not fit back on to the dimmer because the dimmmer side did not extend far enough out. I was able to grind away a portion of the knob side to get it to work, and I added a dab of super glue so it wouldn't come off too easily. The end result is that it works, and I now have a functioning light again. Usually these dimmer switches last me about 2 years, so it is a wait and see to determine how long this one will last. I gave this 4 stars because it actually fit into the housing.

The dimmer/switch is made of cheap plastic. Description of the item, on Amazon, does not mention that the switch fits only 3/8" mounting holes. This is revealed only after you open the sealed package. I had to shave the threaded portion of the plastic switch to match the 1/4" inch hole in the pole of the lamp. Regardless, the switch is too short to accommodate the inside and outside locking nuts snd the knob. I had to prop the entire switch inside the pole with a piece of wood and made it work, eventually. However, I would never bought it, in the first place, had all the product dimensions and quality of materilas were provided upfront. I think there are better alternatives out there but, as usual, you get what you pay for.

I bought this to match my Harbor Breeze versions that are in two other rooms. Big mistake, the Harbor Breeze versions are whisper quiet while this has a very loud hum in when turned on. I put it in the tv room but it is just too loud for any quiet tv watching so I will be switching it for the one in the kids playroom. If you are buying this to match the Harbor Breeze in looks you will be ok. If you want the same whisper quiet performance, look elsewhere because this thing is loud....very loud.

Caution! Caution! When the lights burn out the glass LITERALLY EXPLODES sending shards in a 3-4 foot radius. I've had the fan for about a year and have had two of the lights explode over the breakfast table. At first we just thought it was a fluke, but yesterday the second light exploded over dinner. I had to trash all the food as there were glass shards EVERYWHERE. DONT BUY THIS FAN.

This fan looks great. However, the lights that come with it are far too bright. And when it runs at any speed there is a loud humming sound, coming from the motor I guess. I can't have it on when I'm sleeping at night because it's that loud. I'm not overly sensitive to noises.... I even sleep with the radio on quietly. But that loud repititious humming sound drives me crazy. Don't like this fan at all.

I was looking for a fan that had a contemporary look with the track lights. I put one in my 16 year old daughter's room and my 8 year old son. They both love them. This fan is perfect. It is fairly quiet and has an expensive look to it. Not too difficult to assemble. My only complaints are the lights are very spot specific so you have to spread them out to illuminate the whole room and they are very bright. Second complaint is the limited color choices.

Westinghouse it's missing a decorative cover on the neck of the fan the wholes to attach the decorative cover are there , horrible screws that my husband had to get his own ,the manual is not clear on the connecting the cables , we love the fan. I ordered a pair of these lights and was not disappointed at all. They look exactly like pictured. The only draw back is that they take a smaller bulb and so they are not very bright but we have installed on either side of a fireplace with a very large TV in the centre so we did not want very much light in that area.
