This lamp is really beautiful. The crystals are really shiny but it is smaller than what it looks like in the picture so look at the dimensions before you get it. The little bulbs are actually very powerful and it lights enough for a regular room.

An attractive and well built fixture, but it's clearly designed as a 4x4 post lamp. The installation instructions show application for 4x4 and 6x6, with the latter having the fixture sitting atop the pictured 6x6 base. When used as a 6x6 however the lamp looks shrimpy and out of proportion when compared to the mass of the 6x6 post it is resting on.

I love this light. It has that classic mid-century modern look. The glass globe was bigger than I expected but I love the size now. Looks and fits great above my Burke tulip table and chairs. I had to cut about a foot off the wire length to get it right. Very easy to install. Worth the money.

We have installed these globe lights in our entry. They look great and provide the perfect amount of light. We have also installed with a dimmer so we can choose mood or more light for guests to come into the home. A review above states that the lights are cracker box quality. They are a bit thin but they are built for wet conditions and I do not see anything that would suggest they wouldn't hold up. I have seen them used in other locations (outdoors) here where I live and they look like they are holding up to weather conditions. I think they look very nice on my home and it is easy to re-install light bulbs when needed as well. Not sure about using them in the house though, they are made for the outdoors.

This fixture was metal, not plastic, and seems solid enough. Unlike in the picture, however, there is no glass over the light bulb. Just be aware that your light bulb is exposed to the elements (although covered with a very large shade). Since a lot of the newer bulbs say you shouldn't put them in an enclosed fixture, this probably fits the bill.
