I loved the lamps but had a problem with the shades in shipping. We tried twice but bad luck each time so I sent the pair back. They were very nice about it. The lamp is beautiful but I didn't like the fact that only a 3-way bulb, (30-70-100) can be used. I wanted the lamps for the end tables in the bedroom. I think anyone who ordered them would enjoy the lamps very much.

great light, well built, fast delivery, fair price .But it didn't come with a 120v 1000 watt bulb.The add said 120v fixture. The light fixture had a label affixed to the glass stating "use 208,220,240 or 277v bulb only". it was well built and a fair price exactly what I was looking for .If it had come with a 120v bulb I would have not returned it. Many phone calls later to various electrical suppliers.I was told the bulb would be hard to get and have to be special ordered.At 120v it would draw something like 8amps verses 4amps at 220v. One Email to donna about the mix up and it was all fixed. She said send it back for a full refund no problem. A pleasure to do business with too bad about the mix up in the add and no bulb.

This looks great in my bathroom! The only thing I would say as a downfall is the threads cross so easy and get stuck and you have to fight it to get it on and off. I dread changing my lightbulbs but other than that I really like the look of this light.

I needed a 24" light fixture and white globes and oil rubbed bronze backing plate. Aesthetically this fit the bill perfectly. The finish matches my Moen Danbury fixtures perfectly. The wiring is simple, just wire nut the pre stripped white/black wires to those coming out the wall. All hardware included ( drywall screws, wire nuts ), just add bulbs. Ive uploaded a picture also.

This light is well worth the money compared to other lights. The selling point for me was the strobe feature. Also, if 200 lumen is not bright enough for you, then you need a large search light. It is extremely bright. The three features (High, low, strobe) work very well and effectively with light pressure for instant release, or click on to stay on. I mounted this to my AR with an Elzetta forward site mount. It works very well, and after looking at a large variety of lights for a few weeks, this was my final choice. In comparing this to the Surefire lights, it is every bit as good for less money. I cannot attest to how long the battery lasts yet. I will recommend this to my friends, and would buy it again.

Bought this because I already owned a TL-1 which I found perfect for my uses. The description of this sounded close to what I already had, so bought it. Strobe feature almost worthless as in a tense situation no one would remember how to initiate it. Just give me this size light with two functions on or momentary and I'd be happy.

one press - High Power (bright not painful with good distance)

two quick - Strobe (would be more effective with a higher lumen light)

three quick Low Power (only practical for indoor use, not very bright)

Short press for momentary light, full press for constant.

Entire light is well made. Love the pocket clip and switch. I carry it most for walking dogs at night just in case needed. A brighter light probably not needed for civilian use and would just use batteries quicker.

I installed this in the back of my SUV and hardwired it to a power source. The light is built tuff like most streamlight products and the charging cradle made it so it stays put even in the back of an SUV. Light output is great and it has a good white light not yellowish like other flashlights.

Bought these 2 years ago for our house at the beach and they already need to be replaced. They corroded so badly, they are falling off the house! I'm annoyed because before I spent all that money for them (I bought 10) I wanted to make sure they would withstand the elements so close to the ocean. I contacted the company and was told that they would not rust or corrode. Not true.... now they all need to be replaced. I suppose now I'll have to buy those cheap, ugly plastic lights that everyone else uses. Oh well... I really loved the look of them, but you and you learn, right? I ordered two of these Sea Gull Outdoor Lanterns with brushed stainless steel finish to replace two fixtures that rusted. They arrived quickly and look really good. The specifications said the material is aluminum. So, if they are brushed stainless steel over aluminum, why does a magnet stick? Yes, we did a magnet test. So, although they are beautiful at the moment, time will tell. Stay tuned...

Today is August 30, 2013. We have had these lanterns for over a year and they still look great!

We bought two of these lights to flank our garage on our Cape Cod House. They were advertised as stainless steel but the reality is that they are not. The stainless finish delaminated entirely within the first year (it looks like aluminum underneath) and the criss-cross brackets simply rusted. By the second year (season really not even a full two years more 18 months) they were so bad that my wife just could not stand it any longer and we replaced them with a non Sea Gull brand. Sea Gull now says that these fixtures are not intended to be used within a mile of the water. No where do they say his in heir advertising OR on the packaging. It's just an excuse for a shoddy product that they don't want to admit to nor stand behind. DO NOT BUY THIS FIXTURE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE THAT IS OUTDOOR RELATED!

Horrible quality, the "finish" started peeling within about a year of having this under a covered porch. The manufacturer's warranty only covers this for 1 year (they must expect this to happen) and they were unwilling to make this right. Should not be listed for outside use! I bought two of these for a remodel. They look very nice up close, and from a distance. Not the typical brass carriage-style fixture. The bonus for me was that it could take a 100 watt bulb, and it does throw a lot of light, especially with a clear bulb. It's a mystery to me why so many fixtures are top rated at 60 watts when security should dictate more light.

The Sea Gull packing box said "improved". I'm not sure what was improved, but the fixture's metal parts are quite thin and lightweight. The seeded glass globe is pretty, but fragile. The lip edge is rough, and made it a bit of a challenge to seat it in the fixture to line up with the little screws. One screw hole in the metal was larger than necessary, so it doesn't really "screw" in to hold the globe. On that fixture, it was particularly difficult to get lined up, and I broke part of of the lip edge because I couldn't get equal holding pressure from all the screws. Oops. I suppose I should see about getting that replaced.

One other comment is the the arch piece holds the metal portion so close to the wall mount plate that small fingers are needed to get the decorative screw over the fixture mounting bolt. It should arc just a bit further than it does now.

To summarize, it's a very good looking fixture, but don't be surprised by its insubstantial feel.

I bought this product, because I dropped the glass globe on one of my original 4. It came with a plastic globe that is a different size than the original. This product in general does not come near to the quality of the original 4 that I purchased. I was able the cut the globe in half, rivet it back together and made it work for my need. Would not spend full price for this product. Seller was very good to deal with.

I have had this lamp for about 3 months and I love it. I use it on the table next to my bed to read while my wife sleeps next to me. No more getting yelled at for waking her! The base is heavy enough to make it quite stable in all positions except "fully extended." The length of the gooseneck is such that it can easily reach my book from the night stand and the light is well focused so it lights primarily the book with minimal room light. Because it is an LED lamp, there is no heat generated as with the old high intensity reading lamps. The only possible improvement would be a control to vary the level of light rather than just off/on. Well constructed should provide years of service.

This LED lamp is just want I was looking for. The gooseneck is flexible enough to position the way I want, but stiff enough to hold its position. It is long enough to put beside my 24" monitor and arch over it to illuminate the desk work area without glaring in my eyes or on the screen. It was delivered on time .. in perfect condition .. and so far I have had no problems with it. Highly recommended.

I've been using this as an auxiliary bedside lamp for about 6 months, and I love it. In fact, I just came back to the website, hoping to find the same exact lamp in a floor model, and that's when I decided to write a brief review. I LOVE the fact that it has a weighted base, so it doesn't tip over when you adjust the extended gooseneck. When I say "auxiliary"light, what I mean is: It's fairly bright on its own, but I must admit that I often use it in combination with another LED lamp because I prefer an extra bright light for reading. In hot weather, I also like the fact that it stays perfectly cool. I love to read, but when it's hot out, I don't like having a hot reading light burning down on me, so the coolness of the LED light is a big plus. You can touch it after it's been on for an hour or more, and it will still be cool. So that also indicates that it's using very little electricity.

When you buy an LED Lamp it is hard to evaluate just how suitable it will be compared to the halogen or incandescent night table or regular lamp fixture you may be replacing. LEDs are oftentimes less bright or have a narrower beam. When we tried out this night table LED lamp it does have a somewhat narrower beam than the light fixture it replaced but the LED fixture is very bright and does cast out a beam that is superior to the lamp it replaced. The flexible lamp stem also allows you to configure the lamp in an infinite number of configurations, much more versatile compared to the old fixture. Also, our old fixture as typical of night table lamps oftentimes have bulbs that are less common and sometimes hard to find a replacement, whereas the LED not only uses a fraction of the wattage but the LEDs will probably never need replacement since their bulblife is so long compared to halogen and incandescent bulbs. Highly recommend this reading lamp for night table use. It would probably also be suitable as a desk lamp.

I've had this lamp for three months now. It's good at doing the job I want it for (reading in bed without keeping my wife awake), and on the whole, I'm happy with it.

Be aware that this is very much a "task light," not a room lamp. It provides very bright light in a small and highly-adjustable area, which makes it good for reading, or for illuminating a desktop; but it won't light up the room. (For me, that's a feature I want-just be aware of it).

Also, be aware that (like a lot of LEDs) it's a very "cool" light-very white, almost bluish. Some people may like that; personally, I'd prefer something a bit warmer.

Pros:

Very intense light

Stays cool

Nice long neck that's highly adjustable, and is stiff enough

Toggle switch on the base is easy to operate

However, the lamp has a few design issues that I don't like, so I can only give it four stars.

Cons:

The base isn't really heavy enough. It doesn't tip over... but it moves around when I adjust the light up and down (which I do a lot-bring it down when I want to read in bed, push it up out of the way when I'm not using it). This would be less of a problem if it were a desk lamp that mostly stayed in the same position. I wish the base were about three times as heavy. I solved the problem by getting a little C-clamp and clamping it down to the tabletop (the base is shaped nicely for that), but it seems silly that I should have to do that.

Poor lens design. There's a clear plastic lens that covers the LEDs. Instead of being recessed flush in the metal lamp head, it protrudes from the surface, and a lot of light leaks out through the side edges. This means that I get a lot of direct-from-the-lamp glare in my eyes when I'm trying to read (I want it to shine on the book, not in my eyes). It's eye-straining and highly annoying. I solved this by getting a couple of strips of black electrical tape (which is extremely opaque) and covering the sides of the lens... but I shouldn't have to do that.

The cone of light coming out is too broad, so I have to adjust the light position carefully if I don't want glare in my eyes. A sharper-edged, more focused light distribution would be friendlier.

The lamp is designed such that the light comes out at a right angle to the neck of the lamp. I've had other flexible-neck lamps that shone straight out from the end of the neck, and found that arrangement to be much more convenient in positioning the light where I want it.
