When I looked at it on the ordering site, it appeared to be an oval, or square shade.

To my surprise, and somewhat disappointment, the glass shades are round, and a little

darker than what it appears to be in the photo. Also, the screw holes were not pressed

out properly, and my husband had to work harder than he should have to make the screw

start in the hole. They look fine mounted, but much more cheaply made than I expected

for the money.

I bought this bulb for a clear glass hanging pendant purchased from PB. The bulb looks sooo cute and makes the fixture look absolutely perfect. The light it puts out is somewhat dim and on the gold side, which I love for that retro look. Plus, it doesn't blind us in the clear glass fixture. I cannot comment on how long the bulb lasts...mine is going strong but it has only been two weeks. If you're going for that retro look seen in the PB catalog, get this bulb. It's the perfect little detail to make your fixture stand out. I'm on here ordering more.

The Amazon photo doesn't really do this bulb justice. I bought one to use as a vintage style lightbulb in a music video and couldn't be more pleased with the results.

I was concerned about shipping such a fragile item, but it is quite nicely packaged by the manufacturer. I'll probably be buying quite a few more Bulbrite brand bulbs.

I was looking for lighting for my bedroom. I had an old rod lamp and wanted to complete the look with just the right bulb. This 40-watt fit the bill perfectly. It gives off a very usable soft white-orange light. It lights my room enough so that I can read @ night. This bulb is a great addition to complete the retro look. The color of the light it gives off is very relaxing. In an age of CFL lights, this bulb is not at all harsh or intrusive. You will enjoy the light from this "classic" bulb.

We purchased this light fixture for over the kitchen island. We like the overall look/style but please note that the actual color of the shade is yellow rather than white as shown in the image. The yellow tends to defuse the light so it is not as bright as we would like. During the day light it is not a problem but at night the light is not as bright.

While the light fixture itself is a breeze to install, I was disappointed that there is so much light showing around what should be a "flush mount." It is IMPORTANT to purchase the thinner fluorescent lights as we almost broke the fixtures trying to force standard lights is such a tight space. The wiring will prevent a standard bulb from fitting. The instructions simply state "fluorescent" bulb with no specifics diameter size (I did not even know they came in different diameters). Lastly, it is virtually impossible to screw the thumbscrews into the shade holder...soooooo frustrating that I am NOT looking forward to the time when the bulbs require replacing. The last step was one of the most frustrating.

I really like my ceiling fan. It is in the bedroom and it provides cooling, without the noise. I highly recommend it. And it looks great.

They were really smart in the design too. They have little labels on the pull down chains so there is no guessing which is the fan and which is the light. I really like it.

Got this ceiling fan (2 of them) for my recently renovated basement at a great price (50% off) when Amazon had a sale. I wasn't sure about the quality of the fan, but I am completely satisfied with the purchase. Very quite, looks good and it generates good air flows.

Reasonably priced, quality desk lamps...hard to find. This one caught my eye though. The design is classic and could fit with various decors. It was shipped very securely, well-packaged, and did need some assembly. Nothing challenging. I was surprised at the size of the lamp. Apparently I didn't pay close attention to the dimensions and was expecting a smaller, subtle light. But this is a fairly big desk lamp with a decent sized base so check the dimensions. Its very sturdy, seems to be of good quality. It adjusts at two points: on the 'arm' and up by the lamp shade so directing the light is easy. My only complaint is that the on/off switch is on the power cord. Luckily, between where we put the lamp and where we plugged it in, we still had access to the switch. But over all I love the look of it and would expect it to last quite some time.

I looked at over 1000 desk lamps before I picked this one. This lamp is great considering it's made in china & could not find a nice looking one made in USA. The size is a bit big for a desk but that was the look I wanted. It takes up a bit more real estate on the desk than expected but it's a nice heavy base. No worry about it falling over. The arm locks at the top by the hood and in the middle. The ball on the end of the arm is heavy and is a real counter weight. The antique copper finish is very nice. The only complaint is the arm does not slide to increase or decrease reach length. This may be the best thing I've bought that's made in China. I guess we will see if it passes the test of time.

I bought this for my desk, and even then tried to switch it to my bedside table, but unfortunately, I won't be using this lamp.

The main reason is the size. I guess I just didn't internalize the dimensions. The lamp is quite large.

The base takes up a lot of space on any surface and the whole lamp, overall, takes up a lot of space.

Additionally, again I didn't realize that there is no on/off switch ON the lamp. It is a cord on/off. It makes it really inconvenient to access. (The cord always hangs down behind the desk/table whatever like it shouldso accessing the on/off switch is problematic.)

The lamp looks nice but really think about the size and accessibility of the switch.

This was supposed to be a reading lamp for my living room end table.

Turns out, it takes up probably a quarter of the entire table, which I did not expect. I'm still very glad I purchased it, though.

It has a nice heavy base and decent quality and I do like it, however, the shade is metal, so it gets very hot if you've had the light bulb on a while, so beware not to put it near any light curtains or any little hands that might get burnt.

these lights seem to be very nice, look to be so simple to install a kid could install. I planned to install in the soffit area of my house however I think they are going to be too bright. It is hard to know what wattage a person needs to install, so.... But I believe the quality of the product is very good, I am picky and I want good value, these satisfy me!

I am so happy with my purchase! I bought this from the "Used" category and upon receipt found it to be in mint condition. No chips, cracks, or problems. It was shipped in a very smart container that kept the glass piece perfect, had all of the wiring and even the original tags.

It came with all the wiring I needed and the little caps to connect the wiring. It was easy to assemble, the directions for hanging were easy to follow, and I'm no electrician!

Overall the selling point for me was the themed light, and honestly Amazon's pics didn't do it justice. It looks great now, lights up the kids 12'x15' bedroom completely, and the adults who see it are all complimentary. I feel like I completely scored on this purchase!

This lamp is a lot more impressive in person than online. It's base and upper sculpture are made of resin but look and feel completely like bronze. You can only tell it's resin when you pick it up. The glass is absolutely gorgeous when lamp is on, and yet it is still very attractive while the lamp is off. Can't say enough great things about it!

Seriously though, I love the lamp and so does my wife. I selected it because of the combination of the blue/green glass tail as each color represents one of us, (I am green, she is blue). As an accent piece, it is perfect for out space and it makes a great night light too. I'll be hooking it up to a lamp timer so that it will automatically turn on during times when I'm around. Yes, I know, lazy but it works. The lamp uses as standard night light bulb, but I'll be replacing that with a LED shortly.

Lamp arrived in double layer packing making it virtually impossible to break during shipment. The lamp was first packed in a custom form-fitted styrofoam enclosure securely keeping it cushion and immobile, which in turn was placed into a correctly sized box. That box was then nestled in a larger box cushioned with styrofoam peanuts. In essence, the inner box was adequately shielded from all but the worst case shipping accident scenarios.
