I bought this lamp knowing it had everything I would need all in one. So far it hasn't disappointed me. I was mostly looking for the alarm clock feature, which is great because it turns the light on as well. But it turns out my favorite thing about the lamp is its sleep function. I love setting the sleep timer when I get into bed and listening to music as I fall asleep. The USB port is great for charging my phone too. I love it, it looks great and most importantly it doesn't take up a lot of room on my nightstand.

Speakers sound great, and the fact that its Bluetooth and I don't have to keep my phone hooked up to it to use it, is awesome. I like the alarm clock feature and that is has a USB port to charge my phone if I need to. Everything I want or need is in one cool looking lamp, like the previous review said the instructions were a little tricky to figure out but once I re -read them I got my lamp to work no problem. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quality lamp with great speakers and extras.

I ordered this to replace the cheap light fixture in the continental bath in my 20-yr old manufactured home. On the positive side, the fixture is sturdy, the shape is interesting, and the bell shades are pretty. It can be installed with the shades facing either up or down. Normal Installation will be very easy (mine required adaptations because manufactured homes don't build or install fixtures with standard measures).

My disappointment was with the finish. I had replaced the front door lock set and the kitchen faucet with brushed nickel and was very satisfied with the light color and soft patina of both. This fixture's finish was darker and dull...almost looked like metallic spray paint.

Fortunately, the electrical box was installed high on the wall, so the first thing you see is the shades. I am keeping this light, but

won't buy this brand when I replace the two light fixtures in the master bath.

The shade looks great and fits the antique lamp fixture. However, there was no "threading" in the lampshade to hold it in place. It's actually the lightbulb that holds it on, but it can still spin on the metal bulb housing.

The 11 inch salt lamp arrived without adequate packing but did arrive without major damage.

It is very heavy. I like it except that I expected it to be more yellow/orange/burnt orange like the picture shows.

It is actually white/pale yellow.

And...how do I know that it is actually producing negative ions?

Basically, an interesting different addition to the house.

Pretty and sturdy, but seriously diffuses light. A 40W incandescent (box says 45W max.) hardly illuminates anything, and gets a bit warm. Works best with a 100W-equivalent compact fluorescent, unless you are in serious need of some serious mood lighting. :D Compact fluorescents also stay cool.

Best Deals for Ido Japanese Lamp

The lamp I bought is great, well made, the fit and finish is really good. They work great, look still better. Be advised, the lamp when lit gives off a faintly amber light which was a surprise to me. for the web page photos don't show the lamp on, but it only adds to the warmth and charm.

So far so good. I installed this with a new fan. Its pretty simple to install, just need to figure out which wire goes to the light and which one goes to the fan.

As someone pointed out, the remote is kind of bulky, but I'm ok with that. It fits into my hand perfectly, and it being a little bigger makes it harder for it to get lost.

We did have the light turn on once in the middle of the night. Not sure if that was just a fluke or if there is some sort of interference at play, but its just been that once in a couple weeks.

Searched through a lot of remote fan/light switches before settling on this one. Wanted something that would cover both "holes" from a prior 3-way light installation. This did just the trick, and I can take the remote with me into the room if I want to. Do note that the dimmer does not work with CFL light bulbs, but not a problem for the fan I installed.

The remote for this product is square and bulky. Not at all what is pictured. The product itself works well but I am still disapointed with the remote. Our living room fan hangs from a twenty-five foot ceiling. To change the speed you had to have a ladder. Needed the ladder one last time to install this unit, but no more ladder now. Nice that it comes with both wall switch and remote. Good value and works great.

This is one great light at a real good price and quick/free delivery! The photocell makes it so easy, no turning off or on, and no extra cost for a timer. Easy installation on my deck to an existing power source, and is solidly built, water proof and has a long lasting bulb. I bought this item for family member who needed a work light for a large table. I was unimpressed with the other lights I've seen in the stores. They either didn't work very well or were really poorly made. This light appears to be all metal construction and more substantial than all the other lights I've seen. The price is a bit hefty but that's the price you pay for quality.
