I ordered this to replace the cheap light fixture in the continental bath in my 20-yr old manufactured home. On the positive side, the fixture is sturdy, the shape is interesting, and the bell shades are pretty. It can be installed with the shades facing either up or down. Normal Installation will be very easy (mine required adaptations because manufactured homes don't build or install fixtures with standard measures).

My disappointment was with the finish. I had replaced the front door lock set and the kitchen faucet with brushed nickel and was very satisfied with the light color and soft patina of both. This fixture's finish was darker and dull...almost looked like metallic spray paint.

Fortunately, the electrical box was installed high on the wall, so the first thing you see is the shades. I am keeping this light, but

won't buy this brand when I replace the two light fixtures in the master bath.

I get migraine headaches, and fluorescent lights are one of my triggers. I rented a space that was very brightly lit with copious amounts of fluroescent lighting, and these shades have been the solution I needed. I could adjust the level of brightness by turning the sleeves, and was able to find a good compromise that worked without being blinding or aggravating my headaches. I had a guy put them on for me as the lights were pretty high up, though took him less than 10 minutes to put up 8 sleeves and adjust to a comfortable level. Highly recommended!

The instructions are just ok. They have both pictures and words. But the layout could have been better. The fan itself is made of good solid material nothing cheesy or skimpy on it. My only nitpick is where some of the attachment holes are for the screws are in a inconvenient place for someone with large hands working overhead it might be difficult. But overall this fan is fantastic.

I'm buying one of these for each of my enemies this Christmas. It is maddening to install. Instructions are difficult to follow. Screws are small, hard to maneuver into proper holes, & holes on blade mounting brackets, while threaded, had been painted so screws didn't turn in smoothly; required a lot of pressure. Blades attached over your head after motor suspended from ceiling with hex head screws for which they give you a tiny Allen wrench. Too little room to get an electric driver to screw head. And, it takes 3 hands to hold blade & place screws. Entire process took hours & was highly frustrating. I've installed other ceiling fans before. They were much easier than this. Not recommended.

Looking to improve the A/C in all the house without lower the thermostat setting, this fan proved to be the right selection, silent without the need of special wiring as the remote control allow just to replace the ceiling light for it.

Just a tip; installing it without the extension pole, the highest speed doesn't move air. Anyway the 4 inches of the pole doesn't make a big difference.

This fan arrived when it was promised from Amazon, and was relatively easy to install in about 1.5hrs. I have 7'8" ceilings in my bedrooms and this fan works great for these rooms, churning enough air to cool and not making me duck when i walk under it (I am 6'3")!

I would recommend this fan to anyone with low ceilings who need a flush mounted remote controlled fan.

Installed in properly sized room but: Moves very little air, high speed is med/low speed for a Hunter or Hampton bay, wobbles (even after adjustments) and has harmonic noise generation. face it, I was completely fooled when I purchased this. The only prior negative feedback was that remote electronics could bearly fit in housing.

Shame on Amazon to even sell this piece of junk!

The 1st one I received the marble base was badly chipped in 2 places. They were very nice about sending a replacement base which was also chipped (but just a little) and I didn't want to wait for a third so I kept that one. The shipping is a bit slow (2 weeks for the 1st one and 1 week for the replacement). The quality is ok for the price, not great.

I do hand crochet and embroidery while sitting with my family to watch t.v. This lamp was a little taller than I expected, but it works very well behind my chair and I can easily see to do what I want to do while the rest of the lights are out. The height of the lights is not adjustable, which would have been nice, but overall it is a very good lamp.

The sconce is very well made and the glass is very thick. Unfortunately, it appears a corner of the glass on one light was chipped before it was packed by the company (spray foam packing, extremely well done and safe), I didn't notice the chip until a couple of months later as the construction project wasn't ready until that point (lighting was never pulled out of original until it was needed at the later time). I called Kichler and they pointed me to the company that handles their Amazon orders (I think it was called North Coast Lighting). North Coast was extremely helpful and sent me out a replacement right way.

As far as the light goes, it is very well made, looks great and is nicely proportional for such a compact size. I plan on ordering more Kichler lights based on the aesthetics, quality and customer service.

The light is nice. I love the shade and it really updates our entry way. The only thing I don't like is the shiny white bottom piece. I think I might find fabric to cover it with. For the price it was worth it however.

I love this ceiling light!. We ordered it for our nursery and it looks great. We get so many compliments on it. It would look great anywhere. One customer complained about the shiny plate on the bottomthat was not an issue at all. Just use the reverse side. One side is glossy and the other matte. You can't beat the price.

It's much more tan than white.

Its really girly looking.

My boyfriend wasn't too happy.

But its growing on me.

Though this shade on the light isn't like the image shown, its still a great light... I installed this immediately and noted the almost beige color of the lamp shade...which wasn't a shock since I read other reviews and knew what to expect. When this light is turned on, the shade becomes almost mustard yellow but you do get to see all the great twill patterns in the material which gives it lots of visual interest.

The light is wonderfully bright especially the area right under the drum shade. It takes a second to get to this super bright point-something about the kind of bulb.

Installation wasn't too tough-just awkward. The silly little threaded ball caps that hold the base to the ceiling are a pain to get started, I dropped them once and had to go chase them down...ugh... also, you have to mount the drum shade before another part who's installation requires you to reach in the area between the shade and the main fixture mounting area to screw on a star washer and nut from the top. Hopefully you have skinny hands and arms if you plan on installing this-it helps.

Overall, despite the very different shade color, I do like this lamp, its upscale and modern without being too modern/unusual that its going to get dated anytime soon.

Shipping was incredibly fast-3 days-but it came usps and the box was really beat upthankfully the two punctures and the terribly smashed corner did not damage the shade too obviously. I would advise better shipping methods or additional packaging.

We bought this light fixture for our foyer. My husband wasn't sure about this styling and really wanted a flush mount fixture. I ordered this anyway and it has really updated our living space! It looks much more up to date and modern while still fitting in with other traditional aspects of our home. My husband installed this quickly without much problem. I was hesitant to order because of others stating that it was sort of green, but I don't think that's true. It's more of a true linen/cream, but still blends in well with the white trim and stair case throughout the house. Terrific pricing for this fixture as well, similar ones at other sites were much more expensive.
