This is a great fixture I had a handyman install it, which did not take long. The only issue I really have with it is because you can adjust the spacing of the lights on the track, at first some of them would wiggle loose and cause the strip to go out had to reach up and jiggle it around to get it back on but once in firmly no issues. It looks great with a dimmer and is easily adjustable.

After installation I discovered that none of the lighting fixtures made good enough contact to work properly. I had to twist the track to alter the profile and managed to get two of the lights to illuminate while I held the track twisted. I've never seen a track lighting kit with such poor workmanship and quality. I would suggest that you not bother to purchase this kit for it would be a waste of money.

I bought this because the MR16 fixture in our old place needed to be replaced, and when I took it down, I had four LED bulbs with the small two needle-style prongs left over.

So, rather than spend the extra money on new bulbs for what seems to be the universal GU10 fixtures, I thought, heck, let's search by bulb type and get a fixture that way.

This seemed perfect. The title says "Nuvo TK354 Brushed Nickel MR16 round back track lighting kit". The description says MR16 bulbs. The Nuvo product website says MR16 bulbs for this product. So I expected to have a lighting fixture that showed up, with three fixtures, that were intended for MR16 light bulbs.

I mean, it makes sense, right? You order GFCI power outlets, you expect that they are, indeed, rated for GFCI usage instead of, say, double-pronged holes with asbestos wiring from the 1920s. That's the whole "has what it says on the tin" theory. What is in the box is what should be in the box.

So what shows up? A busted, torn box with two GU10 fixtures missing screws and attaching hardware, instead of my expected fully-equipped, 3 fixture MR16 track lighting.

Not only is the box busted (and appears to have been retaped, which is never, EVER a good sign, especially if it's been shipped for a Saturday express delivery SERIOUSLY, GUYS) but it's also supposed to come with three, not two lamp fixtures. A careful count and recount results in a grand total of TWO fixtures for this product. I think to myself, well, it says MR16/GU10 on the box, so perhaps the fixture plugs actually mean it has both MR16 AND GU10 adapter holes?

Nope. These are GU10 fixture heads, NOT MR16. Even poking the holes in a sad, futile attempt to think to myself, "Okay, maybe if I duct-taped the bulbs it would work and not catch on fire" made me realize that whoever put this thing together has a very low comprehension of things like "appropriate part compatibility labeling" and/or "Truth in advertising". Specifically, I'm looking at Amazon for the last one, because I purchased it with the express note that this was NOT a GU10 track system.

No, really. There is NOTHING on the Amazon site that implies or suggests it could possibly include GU10 fixtures instead of MR16. I checked a few times just to make sure I wasn't imagining things. I also checked the box a few times to make sure I wasn't imagining that there weren't any screws or caps included, and that there were indeed only two fixtures.

And you know, if I, say, OWNED GU10 bulbs, or felt like spending another $80 on new bulbs for the fixture instead of using the existing bulbs I have, I might be okay with that.

But right now I'm short a fixture head, some screws, and I have a product I spent extra money getting shipped so I can finish a project over the weekend that is not what is advertised in the product label or in the box.

I'm positive that if you expect GU10 bulb fixtures or don't have a specific MR16 fixture requirement this would probably suit you just fine. At this point, though, I'm thoroughly irked with the product and do not recommend it simply based on the fact that even the BOX says "MR16/GU10". So if you have your heart set on this, don't buy new bulbs until you get the fixture itself and decide that you're going to keep it.

It's also entirely possible that somewhere out there someone with a bunch of GU10 LED bulbs is going, "THE HECK IS THIS? I wanted GU10 fixtures, not MR16 fixtures! This is crap and totally not what I wanted at all!"

All I have to say to that guy is: I completely understand where you're coming from, man, and just do what I'm doing: Return With Prejudice and let people know how you really feel.

I bought 5 of these, and they all had the umber glass panels. Been using them for just over a year and they are very stylish and work beautifully. Not sure why the other reviewer did not receive the glass inserts, but I did. It is something you should double check if you order these.

I contacted Amazon.com and am was referred to Kichler. Kichler replied promptly. There is no glass. Apparently the picture of the fixture trumps the text of the product description. Kichler feels that Amazon.com needs to fixt the text.

Cute, was as expected. Be sure to look at dimensions carefully as it is a small diameter rod. I was able to cut towel bar down so that it could have a total length of less than 18" in order to fit my space. Color wasn't exactly as I had anticipated. It wasn't as antiqued as I thought but more traditional oil rubbed bronze. I did feel that it was a bit more expensive than what I could have gotten at a retail store but I went ahead since the style fit my design plan. Overall I was pleased with my purchase and would order it again.

I did a TON of research on fixtures and accessories for our new bathroom and I am very happy I settled on the Moen Kingsley line. It's very tasteful from a design standpoint and very well made. It's not the cheapest but I'd rather pay a little bit more and get a high quality fixture that I don't have to worry about replacing. Installation is straight forward and takes less than 5 minutes. My only gripe, and it's a small one, is that some of the set screws have worked loose and required re-tightening. After one tightening job I've never had to go back, though, so to me it's still a 5-star product. I can highly recommend the Moen Kingsley line!

I bought three of these Quoizel ML182AUL Melon Lights. Materials and workmanship are very good and all parts were present. However, assembling the parts into the fixture while installing them on the ceiling was a bit of a nightmare, as I did not have four hands or an assistant and could never figure out how to get one lockwasher to defy gravity and move into place. Be that as it may, once on the ceiling the lamps looked great. Metal finish, glass appearance, etc.--all very nice indeed.

Then a couple of months later I looked up and saw one of the glass shades was cracked from the center hole to the rim. No problem, I thought, as it is still under warranty. Well, not really. Quoizel did respond to my inquiry about a replacement shade, but charged me for it.

Why did the shade crack? My hypothesis is that a standard A19 light bulb is a very tight fit in these lights. So, I think the heat from the bulb in close proximity to the glass cracked the shade, even though the bulb was less than the maximum wattage. I've since substituted smaller, A15 bulbs to provide some clearance. I sure hope this stops the shades from cracking! By the way, nothing about using A15s was mentioned in the instructions.

In sum, for quality materials and appearance (when not cracked) I give these lamps 5 stars. For ease of assembly 2 stars. For Quoizel customer service 3 stars. Final rating 4 stars.

We chose this semi-flush mount for our newly remodeled kitchen to add a touch of elegance. It turned out to be very well made. The craftsmanship is very good and the detail is delicate. My only complaint is that the color was not quite the one we thought. It was described as "Etruscan Gold" and on the picture it had nice gold tone. The semi flush we received looked a lot darker, more like bronze color. In the afternoon light you can see the gold tone, but not at night. We decided to keep it anyway because it still matched the overall color scheme of the kitchen. Philips 420273 Ambient LED 13-Watt BR30 Indoor Flood Light Bulb Review

This is the perfect indoor LED flood light bulb. Absolutely perfect. It is a significant upgrade to their previous generation bulb (which was very good). Here's why:

1. For 13 watts you get 730 lumens of light which puts it right at 65 Watt equivalence for most indoor floods. The previous generation of this bulb was just a tiny bit dimmer, more of a 60 Watt equiv.

2. It gives off light at 2700K, which is exactly equivalent to a typical incandescent. The previous generation of this bulb was at 3000K giving it a much cooler appearance. Close to incandescent, yes, but not close enough. If you need or prefer a warm look, or you want an EXACT replacement for your incandescent, this is the one to get. I have some of these in the kitchen along with incandescent bulbs and the light color is exactly the same. Perfect.

3. It has a terrific diffuser. No hot spots under the bulb, and no hot spots visible through the diffuser, either. Just even, warm white light.

4. It turns on in about 1/4 of a second. That's close enough to "instant on" in my book.

Note that the bulb is a little bit shorter than a typical incandescent, 65 Watt flood. If you are using cans for your lights, the bulb will recess into the fixture just a little bit more.

I purchased one of these elsewhere when they initially came out. Currently it's 7/25/12 and last I checked at Home Depot there was not an Energy Star label on this, thus, no rebate available from my local utility. This light however is great. Replaced one 65W incandescent bulb to test it out.

1.It is just as bright as the 65W, actually a bit brighter.

2.I cannot tell a difference in color temperature from the incandescent lamps (2700K).

3.Nice wide beam with the light evenly spread, my other incandescent lamps are brightest directly under the bulb and taper off quickly as you move out. (Replaced one bulb out of 4 in the kitchen and do notice the difference, looks brighter).

4.This lamp is lighter than other similar type incandescent replacements. (Lighter, redesigned heat sink).

5.Doesn't glare, I sit with a computer and magazine under it with no issues.

Other notes;

None of my can lights have the bulb (incandescent) sitting in them at a uniform depth. And since this lamp is a tiny bit longer, throws light almost straight out and has the metal ring around it(for cooling), there is a slight shadow around the recessed can trim that I'm testing it in. Is it a big deal? Not for me, but some people may not like it for that, this depends on what you have for can light fixture as well.

Also, this is an LED lamp, but they still get hot, don't touch.

Overall, I would recommend.

I have one of these bulbs installed next to three standard 65W BR30 incandescent floods so I am able to compare them directly.

My observations:

The color is close, but definitely not a perfect match. The incandescent bulbs appear slightly more green/yellow.

This bulb sends much more light at wide angles, up to nearly 180 degrees. That means it lights up more of the room than the incandescents which send more of their light downward. (That's because this bulb has a diffuser whereas the incandescents do not.)

This bulb appears brighter than the 65W incandescent it replaced. This is probably due to the light going at wider angles which lights up the walls more than incandescents do. This effect is probably most noticable when your fixture is mounted very near to a wall or walls like mine is.

If more light is reflected off your walls it could change the apparent color of the bulb, especially if your walls aren't white.

Overall, great bulb. No complaints, except about the gold-plated price for which I removed a single star. Hopefully these will come down into the $20 range eventually.

I like the fact that it lights up more of the room since it means we need to turn on other lights less often.

I think the only reason someone wouldn't like it is if they are expecting a direct nobody-can-tell-the-difference replacement for an incandescent bulb.

What a difference a year makes. I'd gone to Home Depot a year or so ago and tried out several different LED floodlights just to see how they looked compared to the existing halogen bulbs I was using. The previous LED "floodlights" were anything but. Massive hotspots, no diffuse light, and took well over a second to turn on. They went back immediately and I returned to using my regular 65W Halogena lights. Recently another one of the Halogena bulbs blew, and Home Depot is no longer carrying them only the "Super Saver" versions, which are OK but more expensive than the old non-Super Saver versions. I decided to take a leap of faith based on the reviews here and I am so pleased that I did!

The quality of the light coming from this Philips bulb is amazing. It's a very close match in color and strength to the bright white 65W Halogena light in the nearest recessed fixture. While it does take about 250ms to turn on, the light floods much more evenly than the Halogena ever did. My wife honestly couldn't tell which bulb was the LED.

Use these in your recessed fixtures. Absolutely, without any question, LED technology has finally reached the mainstream and equaled or excelled the old halogen lights I had been using! I will definitely be buying more of these to replace the halogens as they blow out.

Avoid this one if you can, the shaft is made of threaded nylon and is rather short. This combination makes it very difficult to install the retaining nut on the dimmer shaft. Look for a unit with the metal shaft (like the OEM unit that came in my lamp).

I have a 1 3/8" diameter lamp, and the dimmer switch was broken. I had previously ordered the plastic dimmer replacement version from Amazon, but that model did not fit into the housing, so I decided to try this one. I was able to fit this dimmer into the tube and get it to work, but not without some modifications. As another reviewer commented, the plastic dimmer knob/switch does not come out very easily. When I pulled it off, it looked like I did some damage. After putting the dimmer in the tube, I realized that the knob/switch would not fit back on to the dimmer because the dimmmer side did not extend far enough out. I was able to grind away a portion of the knob side to get it to work, and I added a dab of super glue so it wouldn't come off too easily. The end result is that it works, and I now have a functioning light again. Usually these dimmer switches last me about 2 years, so it is a wait and see to determine how long this one will last. I gave this 4 stars because it actually fit into the housing.

The dimmer/switch is made of cheap plastic. Description of the item, on Amazon, does not mention that the switch fits only 3/8" mounting holes. This is revealed only after you open the sealed package. I had to shave the threaded portion of the plastic switch to match the 1/4" inch hole in the pole of the lamp. Regardless, the switch is too short to accommodate the inside and outside locking nuts snd the knob. I had to prop the entire switch inside the pole with a piece of wood and made it work, eventually. However, I would never bought it, in the first place, had all the product dimensions and quality of materilas were provided upfront. I think there are better alternatives out there but, as usual, you get what you pay for.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Modern designed lighting can be very hard to find, reasonably priced even more so. Golden Lighting's fixture was well made throughout, which made installation a breeze. I should clarify, if you're comfortable installing a new or replacement light fixture, then installation is a breeze. If you're not, prepare to be adventurous or hire a qualified electrician. Installation should take more than one hour. the size of the shades limits the type of bulbs one can use. Because of the orientation, upside down, and trapped heat, you NEVER would want to use CFLs or even LED bulbs in this fixture. Regular A19 will fit of course, but one can also use j-type tubular bulbs. The tubular bulbs have the advantage of emitting light from a cylinder in all directions whereas an A19 emits light in almost every direction including up. Light travelling up is just blocked by the top of the shade and therefore wasted. A 75W tubular bulb will be as bright or brighter than an 100W A19.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program My first impressions when opening the box to a $200 light was that it was packaged sufficiently to arrive un-damaged. The styrofoam inside is the softer kind that can be dented easily with slight pressure, but was sufficient to have kept everything inside in good shape. All the parts and pieces were individually wrapped in plastic and easy to remove from the packaging. Curiously there was a red nylon stranded string under a sticker on the outside upper corner of the box that led to a plastic bag on the inside top of the foam lid piece that contained the nuts, screws, washers and electrical box parts. I have never seen a parts bag packaged this way before. Perhaps they were left out in the initial run of the manufacturing & packaging and added later.

Upon removing the parts from the plastic bags on each piece it was evident that the fit and finish were good. 'Made in China". But good quality. The finish is well done. The fixture has some weight to it. Not too much that installation would be more difficult, but just enough that it didn't feel cheap. The shades are very nice. I had to handle then very carefully as they feel slightly more fragile than your standard round or oval shade. Square shaped shades usually feel more fragile to me anyways.

Installation is pretty straight forward. You attach a mounting bracket to the electrical box. The bracket has two screws that have threads that face out towards you. The screws are aligned horizontal from each other. The fixture then is placed over the screws and secured to the bracket with two round nuts that are threaded over the two screws. One of the more challenging steps in installing vanity lights for me has been to install the shades. Especially smaller or square shades. It is often hard to get your hand up into the shade to screw on the round retaining ring that holds the shade up tight to the light rail arm. The rings are usually thin and awkward to hold while trying to screw onto the porcelain threads of the light socket. Often a lot of friction between the two parts makes it more difficult to get them started correctly without cross threading them and having to loosen and try again. One great thing about this light kit is that it includes a plastic retaining ring tool that makes this installation process much easier. I find that if you add a dab of lubricating oil or even olive oil to the threads of the ring, it will line up and thread much more easily onto the socket. After you get the shades on you can then install the bulbs which would also be a safeguard against the shades falling off as a bulb is larger than the hole in the top of the shade.

Uses standard electrical wiring nuts. It helps to have someone holding the light while you attach the hot, neutral and grounding wires. You can tape or secure a hand towel or like material to the fixture to prevent it from scratching your wall or mirror while it is hanging down. Make sure your switch is off and better yet turn the breaker off. Hopefully you will have enough light from other sources to see well. The base of the fixture is a standard size footprint.

Lit up. They look great. 360 watt bulbs in the white shades makes for a soften glow. I installed them on a dimmer switch and they looked good thru all levels of brightness.

The most surprising thing about this piece is that the three lights extend out from the wall a bit more than my other bathroom lights, just enough more to avoid that weird bounce back off the mirror, and not so far that they give you big shadows under your eyes. So the lighting looks natural and you don't get glare when you apply mascara.

The glass is thick, heavy, and gorgeous...the base of the glass is designed so you don't see the icky flourescent swirly light bulbs either (good for the environment, ugly to look up at...they get dusty too!). The metal is well finished and doesn't feel like a cheap surface metal covering up plastic. Sometimes a pewter finish can look cheap and dull, this has a matte but luminous finish and feels good.

Installation was a breeze and the instructions and all the parts were actually understandable. Five minutes to install!

My only suggestion (having learned this from a ceiling fan disaster) is to make sure your installation is to an electric box supported by a stud or cross piece, NOT simply into the drywall. This is a heavy set and the electrical box alone may not support it.

We've tried various bathroom light fixtures in the bathroom with so-so success (great aesthetics, poor light source).

This 3 light fixture is modern enough looking to work with our vanity/mirror. Due to space constraints (the vanity/mirror is narrow & tall), we installed the fixture upside down. It produces a nice, bright, soft light that lights the entire bathroom. The light, even shining upwards, is still good enough to use to put on make-up.

Aesthetics-wise, this light fixture looks similar to those 3 light fixtures that you find in a home improvement warehouse store. The pewter finish is nice and has a modern brushed look. The square openings above the glass shades look fine against our large subway tile. The glass shades are a pretty, muted white that gives the fixture modern, soft look.

Overall, this is a nice fixture that produces good light and is easy to install. If the price and design work for you, go for it.

The guest bedroom had that hideous 90s style "Hollywood" mirror vanity. We replaced it with the Nelio Three Light Pewter Vanity and we couldn't be happier. It looks very high end and really lends an air of elegance to the bathroom. The light is ample but is softened by the milky glass. We absolutely love the total effect. My husband is pretty handy and had no trouble with the installation. We are considering purchasing two more of the same for the master bathroom. Highly recommended!

This World Imports light in a glossy red is just what our kitchen needed for POW! It was well packed for shipping,no scratches, dings, etc. However, you really must be careful with using the colored chain when sizing it for how much "drop" you want. Use a piece of cloth or something to twist the chain links open and closed, as the paint on this part comes off easily. The whole light is well made and fairly easy to install...if you know what you're doing with wiring. It gives a good light, with good reflection from the white inner surface. Light seems to be made of metal but with a porcelain-like covering to somewhat look like glass...really good finish. The RED is more of a "warm" red than a deep red, but it does the job in my kitchen, where I use red as an accent. I put in a flourescent light bulb with a "daylight" coloring and since light is positioned over the sink, makes it well lit for washing, cleaning veggies, or whatever. Since we have a slanted roofline over the sink, the mounting part with the chain provides a good, straight drop you can make any length you want, plenty of wire and chain provided. I love this light and the lighting it gives.

There really is no patina to this shade. If you notice in the ad or photo, there are highlights in the metal shade so you think "ah, copper." But that isn't how it looks up close and personal, very dark, almost black. I can't imagine what the "rust" is like, but I wouldn't bother. If you want light, this fixture won't provide it. I repacked and sent it back. Moral: You get what you pay for.

A lovely addition to my country kitchen re-do. Was easy to install and comes with more than enough chain and wire. It doesn't give off a room full of light, but is perfect for over the sink ambient lighting. The black interior lets it fade into the background and isn't the first thing to catch your eye when you walk into the room. I'm very happy with this purchase.

First, I really love the design of this fixture it will work really well in a country, farmhouse style room or where the decor is leaning a little more to the industrial look. It lights up beautifully, and it's easy to access the bulb (nothing worse than a fixture you have to take apart to change the light bulb). I'm knocking a star off for the assembly and poor instructions. It comes with a lot of parts, so leave yourself a bit of time, you're not going to get this installed within minutes of opening the box). Also know that the instructions are really limited, but the assembly is pretty intuitive, and you can rely on the picture on the side of the box to help. Once assembled, the construction is pretty solid.
