I have owned and own several Woods "Yellow Jacket" extension cords. I purchased this one to replace a stolen one. They're popular with thieves too! Its well-constructed plug and socket separate it from the look-alike cords. The Woods cord is well worth the extra money. Also, it doesn't get stiff in cold weather. If you are using this for a weed whacker or leaf blower only, you can get by with the Woods 12/3 cord for about half the price. If you are running an air compressor or anything that has a high current requirement, a 100' 12/3 cord just isn't enough get this one.

If you know how to use a 10 gauge cord this cord is great, and flexibility is great in sub-zero temps.

If you are like everybody else with previous reviews:

A 10/3 cord works very well if you need to run high amperage (i.e. air compressor, table saw, etc), or you are using the 100ft 10 gauge cord for a lead on a job-site for other cords to plug into.

So, why not use it for everything...

If you are using electrical power, power should only be used in one direction. The power that comes into your house comes from a number 4 wire, from there it goes to your sub-panel where it splits to different circuits in a residential standard 12 gauge. Then you plug in your band-new 10/3 cord which violates the direction. The power coming from the smaller 12 gauge does not carry enough power to properly use a 10 gauge cord, it would be the same amount of power you would get from a good 12/3. To plug your 10/3 into the proper outlet you need to find a construction twist lock 20amp (with a 10 gauge adapter) or you need to plug-in to a properly wired 20 amp outlet aka "winking man"

If that doesn't change your mind, go to the store and look at the price of a 10/3 and a 12/3 of the same length; then pick both of them up. You'll know when your dragging a 10/3 cable around behind you as you run a leaf blower or skill saw. Personally, I only use a 10/3 as a lead-cord or high amp and sitting still equipment like a compressor or table saw.

Case and point; if you have to ask what a 10/3 wire would be used for, you probably don't need it. Go with a good quality 12/3 (Yellow Jacket or ridgid.)

This extension cord is simply awesome. It's #10 wire, so it will safely carry a load around 30 amps (though the electrical connector on the end is only rated for around 15 amps.) Voltage drop over 100 ft is greatly lowered by virtue of the oversized conductors, so it's perfect for running a big load like an air compressor or welder. I use it to run a Hobart Handler 140 MIG welder and it works like a charm. It stays flexible in low temperatures and is very pliable, and the jacket is attractive and tough.

Almost all my tools, snow thrower, chain saw etc are electric powered. I became tired of buying cord sizes required for each specific tool. This one takes anything I use. Great stuff to have.

I ordered this cord from Boston Industrial through Amazon ,and they sent me an alternative cord without notifying me. The alternative cord is just fine, but it was annoying not to receive what I ordered. Be cautious when ordering through Boston Industrial....you may get an another brand without notification.

A strong wind broke 1 or 2 of these made but another manufacturer. It took over an hour of scanning page after web-page until this matched the color and size of the replacement fan. I was determined to find a replacement because the keyword search for outdoor ceiling fan return over 1000 hits. The more refined searches did not come up with this size, color, and location of use.

The design works fine. You can even add on a light on the bottom which is not a requirement of mine. On a 80-90 degree day it is just right. Don't you wish you can get what you want based on a keyword search for your need on a 90 degree day?

Cheap Trans Globe Lighting PL-4279 BK Black Outdoor Hanging Light

I bought this pendant light for my front porch, as we had recessed lighting in the stone arch in front that did not yield much exterior light to the front lawn nor much aesthetics value for a large pricey house. (Had to purchase an adapter kit from Lowes to make this work for $30) Quick and easy assembly; though the finale was upside down inside the globe to save on shipping size (a little hard to locate at first). Unlike the past two returned light fixtures, this light was made out of solid aluminum which was nice for weather-resistance and from a weight standpointsince I had to put it ten feet in the air on a ladder. It was true frosted glass instead of plastic as well; though the hooks that hold the glass panels on kind of chipped some of them, you could not see any of it from the outside. Over all solid construction with an old-town look at a great price that lights up everything in front of my house with the included 18 W (100 Watt alternative) CFL bulb. Great buy!

Will look to replace my garage door lights with something from this line in the near future, because of this sale.

This PED rope light is pretty orange color, though not as bright as the old-fashioned rope lights. And the tubing is so stiff I couldn't make the rope lay flat smooth. Maybe there's a trick to that but I don't know it.

This light fixture is really of great quality. It is pretty heavy compared to other fixtures of similar type and size. It was very easy to install, you just need a second person to hold it while you make the wire connections because of its weight. It looks amazing in the daytime really brings out the front of the house. And at night it is even more amazing, the light casts a beautiful butterfly shadow on the wall and yet still is very bright to give really good lighting (i used 60W bulbs). Overall can't regret paying the price for this, worth every cent.

It looks neat, but the curve doesn't adjust, just the shade. The curve is allot deeper than is pictured so it takes up allot of room. Would be ok with a really big desk but I wanted it for a small table beside my chair for reading and it doesn't work well. Should have known anyway since my former boyfriend was named Adrian and he didn't work well either. LOL

When you're trying to replace an old ballast, you can't expect perfection everytime. These have plug-ins on each end. If the old plug fits the new ballast, you're golden. If not, you have 16 wires to cut and wire-nut together. I didn't get lucky, maybe you will. The new ones plug in towards the bottom of the ballast. My old ones plug in toward the center of the ballast. Different size plug too.

My rating is one star because the lights don't light. I've had them for 2 months waiting for the cabinets they are going in to be built. I finally received the cabinets yesterday. When I hooked them up, they did not work. I think the transformer is bad. I called them this morning and they said they would have someone call me back. No call so far. The product came in in fine shape, no delivery problems, but it would be nice if it worked. So waiting to hear back from them. It's after 5pm where they are so I'm guessing Monday???

Called them again today (Monday) and Steve called me back. After a short discussion he stated they will be sending me a complete new unit. It's not their fault they didn't work since they don't test these things. Will update when I receive the new unit. Added two more stars for customer service, but still need lights to turn on.

Received the new transformer and everything works as advertised. Excellent customer service. Upgraded to five stars
