This lamp is very light-weight and very fancy. It is very bright and is better than regular bulbs because of its LED. It Has 2 adjustable levels of light that comes in handy. I am able to read comfortably for extended periods of time without hurting my eyes with this lamp. I recommend this product because it takes up little space and is very strong.

Pros: This light looks great on my son's desk and I like that the switch (sliding kind) is on the unit

Cons: Not very bright if you need it for more intensive task-light (e.g., reading, sewing, etc) function, but I suppose it would be OK if you just need some extra lighting when working on the computer. Also, though the slider light switch on the unit is nice, it is not very easy to slide it to the precise location for the night light setting.

It's very bright and doesn't hurt my eyes at all.

I'd gotten lasik surgery, so my eyes are very sensitive and easily become watery, but this lamp is just bright and not hurtful. And night-lite is also perfect for my little son who sleeps by me and wakes me at night from time to time.

Ok just go the Desk lamp and its Plastic and shiny and bright the night light seem point less but would be great for guest room for people not sure where teh lamp is to allow them to find it and turn on safely but i don't think this will make your scared child sleep better type of night light

I only wish teh switch was on the base would make on and off easier

Also the light is 6k (old GOP lights are under 3k color off white yellow) and is whiter then cfl's and almost a blue white but it is fine for a desk lamp would be best for reading very bright easy to adjust and sturdy even for plastic

I bought these to go one my driveway plinths. They are very nice looking, give excellent amount of light.

I wish they were bigger, when I measured them prior to ordering them I thought that they would be big enough. If they came in a larger size I probably would have returned them and got the bigger ones.

I replaced 2 kichler 9023 lights that broke due to wind. I needed dark sky lights for a house on the Chesapeake bay that gets a lot of high winds. Wanted aluminum for rust resistance. The minka lights have yet to face a Nor'easter but I'm hopeful the light has a fairly thick arm I hope that does the trick.. Like most lights at this price point, the metal is pretty thin gauge, but the quality of the construction and finish are very nice.

this replaced and older unit from a different manufacturer. I assume that unit was dying it was very loud and blinked off and on many times per night ( I changed the bulb, didn't help). This unit works great, its nearly silent and nice and bright

I would have given this item five stars but for two minor problems. The conduit is suppose to terminate in an electrical box. However, I combed the local Lowes for a long time trying to find a fitting for a box termination to no avail. Inclusion of a fitting would be nice. The other is the mounting bracket provided. When placed on the conduit the flanges on each side through which the bolts pass to mount it would not lay flat. I replaced the bracket with three circular clamps. Otherwise, the light worked great right off, continues to perform better than I expected and, for the price, it's an excellent value.

Now this is a great light, I am going to buy 2 more for my back yard. This was chosen after returning the cooper lighting 150 Watt piece of junk. The Cooper is not a "made in USA" product the company maybe but everything is made in China. But this Utopia item also made in China but was shipped in a secure box inside of another shipping box. All the componets were properly packaged to prevent moving and breakage. The Item ia well put together with strong welded points with water proof attachments at the wire points of contact. The whole item was easy to put together and everything fit. Light is bluish and gives off a great light for 1/2 acre lot. But I still will get another one for closer to the house. I was impressed with the metal brace which was included, it is made of strong metal not flimsy aluminum. buy it!

Gets 3 stars due to the generous mood I'm in.

Pros: Lamp is attractive, and has a sturdy feel to it. Finished product when mounted is very nice.

Cons: Have your tool box ready. I purchased 2 lamps both of which, if mounted right out of the box, would have mounted 15-20 degrees askew of vertical (you'll need a wrench and some elbow grease to realign). And one lamp arrived with one out of its two mounting screws bent, which pulled that lamp another 10 degrees out of alignment. After fixing those problems, and getting lamp bases properly aligned/mounted to wall, I then discovered that one of the lamp's lamp shade mounting assemblies was also improperly assembled, resulting in lamp looking like a pillow had been thrown at it. I fashioned and inserted a wood shim between shade and socket so as to correct this last deficit, and then called it a wrap.

How can I get mad? Was probably an overworked Asian child who put it together.

I have had this light for over a year now. It is well made, heavy construction, good wiring, and a snap to install. I like it because it puts out TONS of "soft" light for 70 watts.

The fixture is pretty good looking not beautiful, but completely inoffensive. It is actually kind of hard to find a HPS light that does not look industrial.

This one does not stand out on my house, which is pretty important to me since the house is an old tudor the historic register. I'm not trying to brag, just letting you know that it will not look like you have parking lot lighting on a nice house.

It takes a few minutes to warm up, and the light is not at all harsh, just very bright.

It's a sodium vapour lamp beautiful and REALLY bright orange lightbright enough ( but mellow too) to light up your entire front yard and pathway.

Arrived promptly and in great shape. Easy install. Solid construction. Mounting holes must be drilled in the back of the light to mount to your specific conditions. Really bright light. Keeps the burglers away!

Update 1-12-13: The light sensor stopped working, but the darn bulb keeps working 24 hours per day. It lasts forever!! Buy it!

Fixture is built well and looks good and inconspicuous on house. Lighting is amber color and fixture puts out plenty of light for a mere 70 watts. BUT photocell does not shut light off unless there is PLENTY of daylight. I installed it under the eaves which does not help, but light will stay on during a cloudy day. I contacted Cooper lighting via email and received a response indicating that there is no fix or adjustment for this problem. Overall a good item with just the one exception.

These are wicked cool reflectors in more ways than one. The lensed reflectors really keep the heat away from the plants. I'm using 1000 wt HPS systems with windtunnel centrifuge type fans and it's a cool 70 degrees in the tents. ( only a 1 degree difference from the surrounding room ) Can't ask for better than that. The units are also as solid as a rock and the interiors are decked out with equally excellent reflector material. Highly recommended for serious indoor grows.

One word of cautionBe advised that this reflector comes with a cord that will require the use of an adaptor if not used with a Hydrofarm ballast, becasue Hydrofarm uses a unique plug type. The panel to access the bulb is not hinged as shown. It has a trim plate that needs to be removed then the glass can be removed for access. Other than that I like it.
