Cheap Trans Globe Lighting PL-4279 BK Black Outdoor Hanging Light

I bought this pendant light for my front porch, as we had recessed lighting in the stone arch in front that did not yield much exterior light to the front lawn nor much aesthetics value for a large pricey house. (Had to purchase an adapter kit from Lowes to make this work for $30) Quick and easy assembly; though the finale was upside down inside the globe to save on shipping size (a little hard to locate at first). Unlike the past two returned light fixtures, this light was made out of solid aluminum which was nice for weather-resistance and from a weight standpointsince I had to put it ten feet in the air on a ladder. It was true frosted glass instead of plastic as well; though the hooks that hold the glass panels on kind of chipped some of them, you could not see any of it from the outside. Over all solid construction with an old-town look at a great price that lights up everything in front of my house with the included 18 W (100 Watt alternative) CFL bulb. Great buy!

Will look to replace my garage door lights with something from this line in the near future, because of this sale.

I love this lamp although it is taller than I imagined it would be, so definitely measure the space where you intend to use it. Be sure to use a low wattage bulb as I noticed the shade began to buckle from the heat of the bulb. I've switched to a lower watt and it's fine now. It is a lovely sleek warm lamp. I've been very happy with it.

never thought buying Lumatek brand bulbs would make this much of a difference. Yet, they do! Trust me, I've used 4 different brands, and Lumatek's are by far give off the best light source.

I purchased this on 5/24/13 and within 4 months, it completely quit working.

Came home to the light off, checked it and it started making all kinds of noise and internal sparks. Quickly cut the power and inspected the bulb closer only to find that the internal pieces had completely separated from the bottom. IT was terrible!

Luckily it didn't blow up and destroy my garden (and contaminate everything)!

Not sure what to do as the Amazon warranty/returns has ended June 29th perfect timing for me to lose $70.

I am very pleased with this piano lamp. It is nicely crafted with a heavy base to keep it from tipping and a foam bottom to protect my upright piano. The glass provides an elegant touch and I do get plenty of light directed right where I need it.

I had to assemble the lamp out of the box. Basically, the top had to be screwed onto the base, but the glass shade was installed upside down at the factory. I had to unscrew it and turn it upright, but that was a minor inconvenience.

This lamp does not look cheap, which is always a concern when buying online. I am happy with how beautifully it fits into my decor. In fact, it is one piece of furniture I do pass by just to admire.

After searching for a piano lamp for about a month I stumbled upon this one and decided to go for it. I am very glad I purchased it, and it looks great on my piano. It's heavy, good quality, actual glass (not nasty plasic) and doesn't have a scratch on it. One thing I've found to be slightly irritating is the fact that when you screw on the top to the base, no matter how I've tried, it always ends up with the cord being at the front. Maybe I will be able to screw the top on so that the cord comes out the back of it, but that's my only complaint about it. Otherwise, I'm very happy with my purchase.

The lamp came well packed and all pieces were in tact. The top has to be assembled to the vertical base. Once assembled, the lamp is quite top-heavy. there is not enough weight in the base to compensate for the weight of the glass and metal mounting frame of the top.

I called Lamps Plus to express my concern that maybe the installation of the base weight may have been overlooked during manufacture. They checked, and assured me that the shipping weight of "my" lamp was correct. With that, I asked them for a refund, and they agreed.

I love the lamp...very sturdy and excellent quality! The only thing I didn't like was once you screw on the top portion, the plug comes out the front of the lamp instead of the back and haven't figured out how to turn it around.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this vanity light fixture. I saw this on another bath and kitchen company website, and I fell in love with it. I located them on Amazon with a seller selling them at a lower price. This fixture is beautiful, high quality, elegant in design, and inexpensive. It only comes in the brush nickle look, which gives the light fixture a soft look that I like. Keep in mind that you'll need a bracket (??? not sure what the proper term is for this round bracket that usually is installed in the light outlets) to mount this light. My builder didn't put one in the bathroom where this light was installed, and the previous light was mounted onto the drywall. My contractor was able to make it work without the bracket. I am not sure what he did, but he probably also mounted the light fixture onto the drywall, as the builder did. I plan on remodeling my other bathrooms, and plan on purchasing lights from this designer, Feiss. I highly recommend this product.

Well packaged and arrived in good time, but at least one of the 'arms' of the light was a bit bent. Not enough to really bother most people, but a bit irritating nonetheless. Item is exactly as pictured, great quality for the price, nice and shiny and the swirl shades are attractive. With halogen 60w lights, this fixture illuminates my guest bath very well. Could go up to 100W if needed.

I really like the looks of this fan, and I've researched A LOT of fans, especially smaller ceiling-huggers. Kind of hard to find a stylish fan with a small blade span size that hugs the ceiling, but this fills the bill. Reasonably priced for the good quality of the fan. The housing has a vaguely 1920-30s quality to it which is really cool combined with the more contemporary blades, the fan has an overall contemporary feel. The height of the fan worked well with the low ceiling height (7'4"), and the small blade span solved an issue with door interference. The room it's cooling is 11 x 12, and while I didn't expect a fan this size would move a TON of air, I do wish it was a little more robust, even though it wasn't bad although maybe can't make a completely fair judgment since it's tough to compete with several days in a row of 100°+ weather, which was when the fan was installed (the fan was augmented by A/C somewhat, but we try to keep the A/C to a dull roar to keep the electric bill in check). Now that the weather has just recently normalized to the mid-80s/low 90s, fan performance might improve significantly, with or without A/C. Can't speak to ease of installation since I had someone install it for me, but the installer didn't seem to have any issues. In sum, pretty pleased with the fan so far.

If you're looking for a low-profile fan for a smaller room look no further. This ceiling fan is top quality. It's whisper quiet, even on high, and installs easily. The fan was perfectly balanced out of the box so you probably won't need the included balancing kit. For the price you can't beat it when compared to the lines at the big box stores. We plan to order another one for a different room. You won't be disappointed.

Needed a fan in our newly remodeled kitchen per electrician's instructions had to be a "ceiling hugger" 42" in diameter. This fan is perfect! We love it! This is the second unit we've installed in our house, in adjacent rooms. (The first is in a kitchen, this one in a family room). It's easy to assemble. High-quality, good-looking blades. Wish it came in a larger size, but with five blades vs four blades for some larger units, it seems to do about as good of a job. Recommended.

Well, I just installed the new fan and found it to be fairly easy to install. It is running very quietly and looks very nice. Big problem is you can't attach a standard ceiling fan light kit. I found this out when I was almost finished with the installation. The switch for the fan and all the housing for the wiring is tucked inside what they call the "upper switch housing". There isn't any plate at the bottom of this housing to attach a fan kit. The Amazon ad did say the light kit is sold separately, but I just (Stupidly) assumed they meant a "standard" fan light kit which I already had. Be fore-warned.

in my 600 sq. ft. living room I've found this classic Hunter fan to be ideal on a penny pincher's dime. i'm talking 100 degrees max and sitting within 8 feet of the fan, but that's easy in most rooms.
