I installed these a deck lights on my 33 foot sailboat, replacing the two burned out halogen bulbs. These things are incredibly bright! It's like daylight outside when I have them on. I've only used them a couple of times but based on the quality, expect them to last. I will update my review if I have any problems but so far, so good.

I expected the circle balls to be more glass like but it looks more plasticky. Still pretty and chic. Nickel base is expensive looking. Nice with white nigh stands on both sides of bed.

I loved this light the moment I set eyes on it in a store. When it arrived from Amazon, it was just the right thing for my redecorated downstairs. I needed something small, metal that was not shiny and that would give some light. This was perfect. I ended up buying the floor lamp, too, and it is perfect.

The glass was pretty and we wanted an open lantern so that part was good. But it is called "Roman Bronze" but actually it looks like it was painted brown. Not sure if we are going to keep it.

I saw these lights and was very impressed with the look. There is a companion light set (P2714-09) that is longer that matches for the master bath we also purchased. Overall, it looks great in the closet bathroom, and provides a lot of light. Very contemporary look. One minor complaint is that the directions are extremely limited. I have put a number of other lights up in the past, so I generally know what to do, but without better directions, it would be easy for most people to get stuck. I hope the seller would take an afternoon to write up a better, and clear step-by-step guide on how to instal the light.

Regarding the seller great! We got the light very fast, and it had a scratch from the manufacture. We sent it back and it was replaced with no issues. Very nice doing business on Amazon.

Bought these 2 years ago for our house at the beach and they already need to be replaced. They corroded so badly, they are falling off the house! I'm annoyed because before I spent all that money for them (I bought 10) I wanted to make sure they would withstand the elements so close to the ocean. I contacted the company and was told that they would not rust or corrode. Not true.... now they all need to be replaced. I suppose now I'll have to buy those cheap, ugly plastic lights that everyone else uses. Oh well... I really loved the look of them, but you and you learn, right? I ordered two of these Sea Gull Outdoor Lanterns with brushed stainless steel finish to replace two fixtures that rusted. They arrived quickly and look really good. The specifications said the material is aluminum. So, if they are brushed stainless steel over aluminum, why does a magnet stick? Yes, we did a magnet test. So, although they are beautiful at the moment, time will tell. Stay tuned...

Today is August 30, 2013. We have had these lanterns for over a year and they still look great!

We bought two of these lights to flank our garage on our Cape Cod House. They were advertised as stainless steel but the reality is that they are not. The stainless finish delaminated entirely within the first year (it looks like aluminum underneath) and the criss-cross brackets simply rusted. By the second year (season really not even a full two years more 18 months) they were so bad that my wife just could not stand it any longer and we replaced them with a non Sea Gull brand. Sea Gull now says that these fixtures are not intended to be used within a mile of the water. No where do they say his in heir advertising OR on the packaging. It's just an excuse for a shoddy product that they don't want to admit to nor stand behind. DO NOT BUY THIS FIXTURE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE THAT IS OUTDOOR RELATED!

Horrible quality, the "finish" started peeling within about a year of having this under a covered porch. The manufacturer's warranty only covers this for 1 year (they must expect this to happen) and they were unwilling to make this right. Should not be listed for outside use! Too bad because it was cute!

I bought two of these for a remodel. They look very nice up close, and from a distance. Not the typical brass carriage-style fixture. The bonus for me was that it could take a 100 watt bulb, and it does throw a lot of light, especially with a clear bulb. It's a mystery to me why so many fixtures are top rated at 60 watts when security should dictate more light.

The Sea Gull packing box said "improved". I'm not sure what was improved, but the fixture's metal parts are quite thin and lightweight. The seeded glass globe is pretty, but fragile. The lip edge is rough, and made it a bit of a challenge to seat it in the fixture to line up with the little screws. One screw hole in the metal was larger than necessary, so it doesn't really "screw" in to hold the globe. On that fixture, it was particularly difficult to get lined up, and I broke part of of the lip edge because I couldn't get equal holding pressure from all the screws. Oops. I suppose I should see about getting that replaced.

One other comment is the the arch piece holds the metal portion so close to the wall mount plate that small fingers are needed to get the decorative screw over the fixture mounting bolt. It should arc just a bit further than it does now.

To summarize, it's a very good looking fixture, but don't be surprised by its insubstantial feel.

This item arrived with damaged packaging, as a result there was a 3" long scratch on the front of the light bar. I was right at the end of my bathroom remodel and decided to touch up the mark rather then return the item. If I had to do it over I would return the item as I can see where I touched up the mark. The light works as expected and has an overall nice look. The color goes well with oil bronze faucets.

We purchased this light kit to put onto a Hunter Prestige "Headley" model fan. This is one of the nicest fans that Hunter has made, in a long time, and didn't break the budget. The problem was that when it came time to look for another fan for our Master Bedroom, we needed one that had a light fixture. The Headley model didn't come with a light fixture, and I thought that my quest to find a great fan for the MBR, would continue to be a difficult task. Then I found out that Hunter makes specific fixtures, for their Prestige Line of fans. Excitement returned! Now, I could have the large fan that was needed in the high vaulted ceiling, and not lose a light fixture!

What we didn't know, was the light fixture has a pretty leaf pattern, in the glass. The picture shows it, but you can hardly see that it is prominent on the globe. The fixture also takes regular base bulbs,,,a huge bonus as the candelabra, bulbs don't put off as much light, and the CFL bulbs, are expensive for the tiny based bulbs. This fixture also come with two CFL bulbs, saving you a further amount, by not having to purchase bulbs. Make note that the glass globe, is a darker creamy bisque color. If you are looking for a whiter light fixture, this one is not for you.
