I have owned and own several Woods "Yellow Jacket" extension cords. I purchased this one to replace a stolen one. They're popular with thieves too! Its well-constructed plug and socket separate it from the look-alike cords. The Woods cord is well worth the extra money. Also, it doesn't get stiff in cold weather. If you are using this for a weed whacker or leaf blower only, you can get by with the Woods 12/3 cord for about half the price. If you are running an air compressor or anything that has a high current requirement, a 100' 12/3 cord just isn't enough get this one.

If you know how to use a 10 gauge cord this cord is great, and flexibility is great in sub-zero temps.

If you are like everybody else with previous reviews:

A 10/3 cord works very well if you need to run high amperage (i.e. air compressor, table saw, etc), or you are using the 100ft 10 gauge cord for a lead on a job-site for other cords to plug into.

So, why not use it for everything...

If you are using electrical power, power should only be used in one direction. The power that comes into your house comes from a number 4 wire, from there it goes to your sub-panel where it splits to different circuits in a residential standard 12 gauge. Then you plug in your band-new 10/3 cord which violates the direction. The power coming from the smaller 12 gauge does not carry enough power to properly use a 10 gauge cord, it would be the same amount of power you would get from a good 12/3. To plug your 10/3 into the proper outlet you need to find a construction twist lock 20amp (with a 10 gauge adapter) or you need to plug-in to a properly wired 20 amp outlet aka "winking man"

If that doesn't change your mind, go to the store and look at the price of a 10/3 and a 12/3 of the same length; then pick both of them up. You'll know when your dragging a 10/3 cable around behind you as you run a leaf blower or skill saw. Personally, I only use a 10/3 as a lead-cord or high amp and sitting still equipment like a compressor or table saw.

Case and point; if you have to ask what a 10/3 wire would be used for, you probably don't need it. Go with a good quality 12/3 (Yellow Jacket or ridgid.)

This extension cord is simply awesome. It's #10 wire, so it will safely carry a load around 30 amps (though the electrical connector on the end is only rated for around 15 amps.) Voltage drop over 100 ft is greatly lowered by virtue of the oversized conductors, so it's perfect for running a big load like an air compressor or welder. I use it to run a Hobart Handler 140 MIG welder and it works like a charm. It stays flexible in low temperatures and is very pliable, and the jacket is attractive and tough.

I ordered this cord from Boston Industrial through Amazon ,and they sent me an alternative cord without notifying me. The alternative cord is just fine, but it was annoying not to receive what I ordered. Be cautious when ordering through Boston Industrial....you may get an another brand without notification.

THis isn't a complicated item to review. It is cast iron or steel and has an oil rubbed bronze finish. It is attached with screws from the far side of the door/drawer. They are very attractive and have a very nice finish. IF this is what you are looking for you will be pleased. The only thing I have not solved is how to attach two, back to back, on both sides of a door. I think epoxy of a screw will be involved making it impossible to remove; but I knew that would be a challenge when I bought them. Mounting them on drawers is a piece of cake and they look great

Was looking for something economical to opererate and get away from the round flourescent tubes and starters. So we purchased one of these lights and put 3 13 watt instant on bulbs that each one equal a 60 watt bulb. Gives us plenty of light in one half of the kitchen, so we purchased another one for the other end of the kitchen. Love them. We have more light than we did with the other light fixtures. I would reccomend this light for someone who wants to light up a bigger area, with some control over the light direction. The seller was quite prompt on delivery.

I needed a light fixture for the kitchen to upgrade the old one since we upgraded the rest of our kitchen in this 1956 home. My dilemma was that the old fixture had two light bulbs hidden inside a frosted glass and didn't throw sufficient light in the kitchen. When you were working at the kitchen counters, you were creating your own shadows on your work which was annoying, especially on cloudy days or in the evenings when it was dark outside.

I selected this light fixture for the three light fixtures with exposed bulb areas to throw light to the areas in my kitchen that needed it. I love the silver finish and the marbled frosted glass. My kitchen has white upper walls with light pine on the lower portion of the walls and pine flooring and white cabinets and when you turn this light on now at night, the entire kitchen area where my countertops are located is now very well light up. The light bounces off the white and it makes for a very nice work area when you are cooking or cleaning in the kitchen.

Not mentioned in the description of the light is whether it will take fluorescent light bulbs which are the only kind of light bulbs we use in our home, we are very energy conscious and try to keep all our utility bills down as low as we can. I emailed the seller and got this response back:

"This fixture uses (3) 60 Watt Medium Based Bulbs. That means they are the regular incandescent bulbs. You can use CFL bulbs, as long as they have a medium base and are not any longer than the incandescent bulbs. Let us know if you have any further questions." I thanked her for the response and suggested they upgrade the descriptions to show that their fixture will take fluorescents and then ordered this fixture. Many homes (at least I hope) have switched over to fluorescent light bulbs and would need this information before ordering.

I now do not have to add additional lighting to light up areas in the kitchen (like under cabinet lights, over the stove lights, etc.). This worked out perfectly. My husband installed it (that man can do anything) and installation was easy. So, yes, I am very pleased with this light fixture and would recommend it.

We have an old Craftsman home with 3 over 1 windows and the panes on this Mission light matches the 3 over 1 ... and I purchased the 7, 9 and flushmount lights to hang inside through out the house...it unifies the space and casts a warm amber glow in each room...stunning. The lights are sturdy in weight and nicely made...the price is even more enticing.

I think the smaller lights in a row would be a great look over a large island in the kitchen.

This light is modern and gorgeous. We put it in our dining room. We have a dimmer switch on it, but when turned up enough to brighten up the whole room it is glaring. the fixture came quickly, looks very nice, is a medium sized sconce and really throws the light off.

my favorite part about this sconce is that it can be flipped upside down to throw light downward instead of upward as pictured.

I have mine installed on a small wall above a table in my entry, it's perfect for the setting, and a closeout price of $26 can't be beat.

the gripe I have is about install. the plate included uses the same stud pattern as a standard wall box which makes it incredibly difficult to install because of conflicting screw locations.

I was able to install it in the end, with a bit of modification and work to the install plate. I am still very satisfied, Kitchler does it again!

They look magnificent in my bathroom. I would choose to buy them over and over again. If I have any complaint, it would be that the glass color is darker than I would have wished. I bought these fixtures from Home Depot three years ago for use under a raised cabin on the beach near Galveston Texas. Now building another cabin, and Home Depot no longer had them in stock, either in-store or online. Found them from an Amazon vendor. Little higher in price, but they were in stock and were delivered in a timely manner.

Excellent product for salty wet environment (three yrs' experience). I bought eight of the fixtures last month. One arrived with a bulb missing, so I wonder if maybe they were used. Otherwise, I recommend the vendor and the product to anyone needing good service in corrosive surroundings.

Before I even begin my review I'm one of those folks that HATES clutter with a passion. I'm also big on conservation of resources, both natural and financial so I am stingy as hell when it comes to form, function and price.

The lamp when it arrived is simple, of good quality/design and function. It takes up little space on my desk and serves it's purpose. LET THERE BE LIGHT! Combined with it's LED use, I'm saving some pennies along the way. It can also be adjusted however to better suit the space and provides quite a large aura of light when on. I've seen other LED desk lamps that either light only a smaller space or worse yet, have a strange color hue when turned on.

I'm happy with my purchase. Thank you!
