We replaced some junky wall lanterns that had been on our house forever. These are beautiful (just as pictured) and they mount solidly to the wall. The capped bolts that you see on the outside (left and right of light) are included, but they expect you to use the electrical box bolts from your old lights. Well, ours were too rusted to be reliable. I had tons of bolts, but not the right size! Grrrr. So this added a trip to the hardware store for me.

We mounted these by our main entrance, and the smaller model (8037-71: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002X802A/) on either side of our garage. Experience so far is that they stay much cleaner than enclosed lights.

These were installed in our home in 2005. I only purchase SOLID brass. Just having polished brass eventually looks like garbage, and unfortunately, these do look like garbage and started tarnishing in 2006. I used a quality polish that is specifically for brass. These are NOT SOLID brass. Shame on Sea Gull Lighting for continuing to advertise as such. I tried having mine refunded, but since a builder installed them, Sea Gull said I have to go through the builder. In fact, at the time, Sea Gull also said these were not available to the general public.

Bottom line, don't purchase Sea Gull if you want a quality solid brass.

We were always hanging our towels over the chairs, etc, when used in our pool. This is a large, sturdy towel rack and really serves the purpose of drying your towels after use. It is attractive and a good addition to your pool or any outdoor area.

We purposely searched for a heavier sturdy rack similar to one we purchased 12 years ago and this is it. This one is very well built worth paying extra for a heavier stand. We live on a lake where it is often windy. This stays very firm. I would highly recommend this product.

These lamps are perfect for my living room. I'm glad I read some of the reviews and found out the shades were brown not Red. The brown worked much better for me, but someone should change the description on the Shade because it is Really Brown. The price was great also.

The lamps arrived securely boxed. One lamp was scratched from where the harp was laying across it during shipping, but since I loved the lamps, I would have kept it anyway. The other lamp was defected. The harp, socket and the base were all so loose that it wouldn't stand upright. If you tried tightening it up by turning the socket, you would just be twisting the cord inside which would be a fire hazard. The base has a cloth cover on it, but I didn't want to remove it to try and fix the lamp because if I couldn't fix it, I wouldn't be able to return it with the cover off. Disappointed after finally finding something different that I really liked.

Well it is three weeks later and the seller has made good on my complaints. I contacted Amazon and they contacted the seller with my problem. The company notified me that they were willing to send me a part to fix the lamp. A part would not have helped what was wrong. After emailing them back stating that a part was not the solution, they did not hesitate to act. A replacement was sent without charge and is damage free. I now would not hesitate to use this seller again. Mistakes are always possible, but it is how a company handles those mistakes that count. Thank you caring what your customers say!!!

I was quite disappointed when my lamps arrived and the shades were not red at all. The shades are brown and if you are going to ship brown shades and not red shades then the description should reflect that information. I ordered these lamps primarily because the shades were supposed to be red. The lamps themselves are really cool and look great in my living room, but would have looked much better if the shades were the color advertised. I feel like I got ripped off and I hate that!

I like it. Very minimalistic, and industrial looking. Metal blades that could probably lop off a finger. Mine was a stupid good deal in the "used" section of Amazon, but it still came in the original box, and the only thing missing was the light bulb. For the price I'm totally fine with that.

Looks good and performs well.

However, i had it shipped to me in 3 different ocations as this unit is always missing parts. First time, missing light bulb + bolts & washers. Second time, missing bolts & washers. Third time, bolts & washers. I complained every single time and the only thing they could do was have me sending it back instead of fixing the problem. I had to go to the hardware store and pick up the missing parts.

Overall I'm happy with it...but I don't see how Amazon and Litex expose themselves to a very easy lawsuit. If the fan falls from the ceiling...it can cause a lot of damage to anyone standing below.

I like the fan the only problem is that Litex company phone does not exist, I've been calling every day for quite a while and always comes out busy as it is not a real phone. Unable to find replacement parts of the lamp, glass that covers the bulb.

Packaging has a bit to be desired, arrived with a broke cover (luckily not needed for my application). The back needs to be drilled if you're not going to top-mount it. It uses a lot less energy than the old incandescent bulb-type. The emergency lights aren't very bright, but they'll suffice for your standard power-outage situation.

Thank goodness for amazon's product description because there was hardly any information included with the light. The outer carton was a basic cardboard box with the item number and logo. I figured the inside would contain more information (bulb size, maximums, etc.) Instead there was a one page generic installation sheet which wasn't very helpful.

The light itself is nice. It's a nice satin nickel finish. The shades are much bigger than I anticipated and have a lot more of a marble effect than I was expecting but overall it's a nice looking light. It's sturdy yet light weight and gives off plenty of light.
