Bought 2 of these to mount vertically on either side of our bathroom mirror, replacing vertical fixtures that were original to the house. Since the lights are bright, we could have gotten enough light for this medium-sized bathroom with one fixture mounted horizontally over the mirror--but I like the look of two. Bulbs that came with the lights are still going strong after almost 2 yrs.

I purchased this light for my small guest bathroom to be mounted horizontally above the vanity. It is very stylish and fits the modern look of the bathroom very well. One thing to notice is that the light bulbs matter! At first we ordered T10 incandescent bulbs through Amazon but they were not bright enough. We returned those and ordered bulbs that specifically stated they were 500 lumens each (lumens measure the brightness). This helped significantly! The bathroom is only 30 square feet and has a skylight, so this may be too dim for othersbut they do make T10 halogen bulbs that are 900 lumens each which would work (probably with a dimmer) to provide more light. Either way, the bulb is separate from the fixture, so I still give this fixture 5 stars.

The item description lists this as being an incandescent fixture. In reality, it uses GU24 CFL bulbs (included). This raises two issues: replacement bulbs are not readily available, and CFLs are short-lived when frequently cycled such as in a typical bathroom (turn on the light, get your business done, then back out the door you DID wash your hands, didn't you ...?)

Other than that the fixture is well-made, can be oriented both horizontally or vertically, is rated for damp locations, and is clean and attractive. Can't comment on the quality of the lighting since I didn't get that far in the installation.

I wanted to buy two lights to place vertically on each side of my bathroom mirror. I've had these for a few weeks and they give off the right amount of light to have two, love them! Just wish they were a bit more affordable, but don't regret the purchase!

The light looks cheap. You can see the screws on the square back base and they're not even screwed in straight. There was also clear dried glue on the metal piece that wraps around the white bulbs.

I loved this light the moment I set eyes on it in a store. When it arrived from Amazon, it was just the right thing for my redecorated downstairs. I needed something small, metal that was not shiny and that would give some light. This was perfect. I ended up buying the floor lamp, too, and it is perfect.

The lamp I got is not the lamp in the picture. The glass shade does not have the metal trim on it and to say the least it's a bit generic. The decorative piece beneath the switch is also missing. The lamp post is connected by 4 pieces that screw together but do not leave a smooth seamless connection. As for the gun metal finish, I would say it is not. I would say more of a cheap brushed bronze finish. I would not recommend this lamp simply because of the issues that I have already pointed out. It is true that they just do not make stuff like they did in the past here in the good ole USA. Heed the old saying buyer beware.

Cheap Designers Edge L-1770-70W-HPS-BR ECOZONE 70-Watt High Pressure

I replaced a Yard Light on the rear of my home with a Designers Edge 70W Dusk to Dawn Yard Light.

I found the light to be well built, weather sealed and very simple to install,

The light is mounted 12 feet above ground level and lights and area about 100ft by 100ft with

direct lighting and ambient light covering almost twice that area. Perfect for my yard and not shinning in my neighbors windows.

I'm guessing mounted higher direct lighting could cover almost twice that area.

My dogs luv it for now they can "See 2 P' " and spot Bunnies to chase at nite, anyplace in the yard.

Amazon not only beat the best price I could find local by about $15 bucks,

but gave me "FREE SHIPPING" besides.

I rate this product at 5 Stars, my dogs give it "4 PAWS-UP"

I purchased this light, and failed to notice , the light would turn off for periods of time, since I work the night shift, and my window to return to amazon expired, before I was aware of this problem. I tried to contact designer edge by their phone number, number no longer in service, by e-mail no reply, this light is poorly designed, and would not recommend to anyone.

This is a good quality lamp. It is probably a little overpriced but we had to get it to match the other Baby Sam merchandise we bought for the babies room. You can only use up to a 40 watt bulb so this is a good low light source but you probably can't read a book with it. It looks like this lamp will hold up a while.

This lamp looks wonderful and was the perfect piece to complete my daughter's room. Unfortunately, it does not work all the time. We have to turn it off and on several times to hopefully get it to work. There is apparently a short somewhere in it. Not at all the quality I hoped for the price!

I've been running the above mentioned pair going on 2 years with no loss in lumen output,period. Bought another solistek few months back, due to lack o funds I decided to try 1 of the $30-40 lamps infesting the online market. After 2 mo. @ 18 hr a day, my cfl in the kitchen was putting out more light (no B.S.). Tried another and another cheapy with not much better results. Thought, maybe it's the ballast? The first light arrived with the glass globe broken. It was packed well, so who knows why it was broken. This is the first time I've had to return a product and I must say, Amazon makes this amazingly easy to do. They have an online form I submitted. Once submitted, Amazon kicked off the process to send me a new one right away, provided a packing label to print, and sent a request to UPS to pick it up. So, in total, I ordered on Monday, received broken product on Wednesday, UPS arrived and took it back on Thursday and then delivered the new light on Friday. Now, the light itself. It's ok. It was supposed to come with a bulb, but it did not. I didn't mess with another return. I like how it looks up, even though it seems a little off center horizontally. The quality of this product does not warrant the price. This light seems like it should be more in the $25-30 range at most.

I haven't had this timer installed but about 3 weeks. It is my third in a 1.5 years. The first two were installed by my landscaper. I decided to replace this one myself, in addition to one of the Kichler Lights (some of which have been replaced twice before in same time frame). The timer was not too awfully complicated to program and solid in appearance.....not cheap looking, though rather inexpensive. So far, so good.

I bought this lighting without knowing exactly what it would look like from the stock photos. I've since added what they look like installed for me.

The install went on without issues. I used the standard remodel junction boxes. There was way more cord than I needed, so I trimmed it down. Pay attention to the coloring of the wires and their labeling if you need to do this because the labeling will be trimmed off. There is a white stripe to connect to the white/neutral, a greenish/off-white to connect to ground, and no stripe on the wire to connect to black/hot.

The pictures just don't do these pendant lights justice. The effect that the light inside of the mesh creates with the glass surround is great. It throws some neat light onto the ceiling with our shorter hanging distance. Very impressive.

Once I received them (it took two months) they were installed over our island in our newly constructed home. They look amazing and are the talk of town. One globe was badly scratched, but they assure me they are replacing ASAP.

We decided to purchase this fixture for our entry hallway. We have regular height ceilings (7ft.) and wanted to replace a flush mounted light. This light does not hang down too far to be in the way. It is just the right length and has a very attractive light shade. This a beautiful new addition to our 1940's Cape Cod! The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is that my husband and father in law had to find different screws to attach it to the light box inside the ceiling. The ones that came with the light were too short. This will only be a problem for some, so it is a minor issue that we were able to solve without any other problems. Great price for a great light!!

I love the look of this light fixture and the price is right. The first light I received had a broken antler, and was shoddily packed styrofoam particles all over the inside of the box.

The glass shade did fit into the antler frame, and this is why the antler was broken I am sure someone had tried to fit it in and cracked it. When I assembled it, the bowl sat crookedly inside the antlers. Horrible.

I called the company and they were very nice, sending me a replacement without making me send the old one back.

The replacement arrived today it is intact although the styrofoam bits are still sticking to everything inside the box, a real mess.

The glass bowl once again does not fit nicely into the antlers... and this time I can't even screw the two pieces together and add the little nut at the bottom. I am going to keep it, but it requires getting a longer screw for it to all go together, and even then I am not sure it won't look crooked.

If it does not work after a modification, it's back to the store for good.

I thought when I purchased this sconce that it might be a bit too expensive for just a sconce but thought I'd go for it because I liked the style of it A LOT. When I opened it up and saw how VERY nice, well made and beautiful, the look of high quality and not cheap looking, I felt it WAS worth the price! Everyone REALLY loved it and as soon as they saw it they commited on how nice and pretty it was (also told me I had great taste).
