The lamp was very easy to assemble and uses regular light bulbs if necessary. I chose to use 3 15 watt A-19 LEDs and it works great and very bright. Remember the long shade will dim whatever light bulb you put in it.

This lamp was easy to unpack and assemble. It comes in an amazingly small box and the rice paper just gets stretched into shape. Turned off, it looks great and blends in nicely. But beware the "natural" color! Most of my furniture and walls are off-white or cream-colored. I used three CFL bulbs (which, let's face it, most of us now use) and when I turned it on, their reddish tint combined with the rice paper lamp shade turned my whole living room bright orange. I had hoped for this to be my main living-room light but will probably use it in a back corner of some other room instead.

(Note: I bought mine "refurbished" at deep discount. Turns out, the cord between the lamp base and the floor switch/plug it comes with was completely cut. Apparently they had cut off the old switch and thrown in a replacement but not taken the trouble to splice the two together. I didn't factor that into my rating because I know it's risky buying refurbished stuff...)

This is a fantastic product. My Superman head was loose but not broken, as it is cast seperately, but a small dab of glue and good as new! Really nice looking, well sculpted. The rocks are darker than those pictured (I think looks even better) and comes in a nifty art box. Well worth the price.

This Milano Pendant light is simply amazing!! After trekking to over 10 different lighting stores and outlets, this was our last alternative. It would have been nice to save all the time, gasoline and unwanted aggrevation if we would have just looked online before I decided to venture out. My wife and I decided to order two pendants after reading all the reviews on Amazon. We are sure glad we did! The lights are stunning when lit and they compliment my new kitchen reno very nicely. They are not obtrusive so as to not take away from the experience of having a small kitchen which is now open to the dining room. What sold us more then anything else was the price. We've seen similar lights elsewhere going for over more then double the price on Amazon. Not only were the lights inexpensive here but the canopy's were included too! The canopy would cost over $60 each at the store. Most stores would not deliver the lights for at least 6-8 weeks but Blue Marble delivered in less then 4 days via FEDEX. Truly unbelievable. The best part was knowing that we can return the product if we were not happy with it. The stores basically told us there are no returns on special orders. That was not too comforting knowing your spending over or close to $500. With Blue MArble we spent under $200 for everything! What a great company & product. We are extremely pleased with our purchase. I will post pictures once the reno is complete. PS The wife was so unsure about ordering lights with out seeing them in action, and now I must say, this experince has blown her mind. She is very happy! Good luck! :)

I bought three for my newly remodel kitchen after reading the reviews on line. The positive reviews were correct. They look expensive and emit a cozy light . I received many compliments on them. Do use 20watt light bulbs as the 40watt are too strong. Lights are not included in the package.

I saw this lamp in a furniture store and decided to check Amazon for a better price. As is usually the case, Amazon was much, much lower. The lamp is very attractive and a compliment to any contemporary space. It is easy to assemble and surprisingly sturdy. The base is quite heavy so you don't have to worry about it toppling easily. As the other reviewer noted, it could stand to be a little taller. Because of its weight, I felt comfortable putting it on a short pedestal behind my sofa, adding the height I desired.

Note that it doesn't provide a lot of light--it's more of a show piece to supplement a brighter light source. However, it looks lovely illuminated alone or when other lights are on. I highly recommend this lamp. It has drawn the attention of everyone who has been in the room it it in.

I got the table lamp first and loved it, so thought I would try this. Was afraid it might be "too much", but it is not. I obsessed about how to arrange the lights for at least a week, but now I am satisfied. The only thing I wish is that it had a dimmer included on the switch like my last floor lamp did. It gives off a lot more light than I thought it would with those dinky little 25 watt light bulbs.

The original light arrived with a shattered pane of glass. Sent it back and the replacement also had a broken pane. Looking more closely at the glass it appeared very thin and of poor quality. Sent the replacement back for a refund and will look elsewhere for a hanging light.

I bought these for am indoor foyer and hallway. I wanted something traditional and these fit the bill. Relatively easy to install once you figure out the length you want the lights to hang. First one I ad a helper the help hold, second one I did on my own. First time took a few trail and errors to get all the parts together. You should prep the chain, coupling links, center screw that mounts to the inside of the electrical box. You need to thread through the wire and ground wire, which wasn't completely obvious the first time around. I used 40 watt bulbs because the 60s were just a bit too much. Love the way these look!

I have this same globe, and it lights one end of my kitchen nicely. This is a very economical way to light a room. The fixture is easy to install and when I ordered from Amazon it literally turned up the next day. My parents had a similar fixture in their kitchen in the 1950s, so there is a lot of sentimentality there.

Probably worth getting a dimmer with this since 150 watt bulb throws a lot of light.

I have purchased this lamp to replace an older unit. At first it looked OK, with a couple of glass panes loose inside the package. As I finish installing the main body I noticed a crack in the top cover. Amazon promptly sent a replacement (a refurbished unit, filled with newspapers inside the box), but this one was also cracked, in the main body this time. The cast aluminum is really of the worst kind, even if you're lucky to get a good lamp at first, expect it to crack during winter due to thermal contraction and expansion.

As the saying goes...you get what you pay for. I thought it was a great deal and it turns out it was not. Cheap construction, it does not fit the 3" pole snug as it should and I have a clear feeling this light is not going to last long. After going through the hassle to finally get it installed and working, I felt it not worth the hassle to uninstall, pack it up and send it back. In the future I will definitely not buy something as important as this through the internet. Very disappointed.

I actually ordered this for my mother's Craftmade ceiling fan in her bedroom. She called me over when it arrived. She had the package open already when I arrived. I noticed immediately the physical appearance was different from the pic displayed. That pic is what made me order. It was IDENTICAL to what my mother had. I was thinking, "Uh-oh, they screwed up", when I saw the remote actually sent. The remote sent was rectangular-shaped. It was larger, though not necessarily heavier. It had a large square button in the center. Then, upon closer examination, I noticed the same keys were present as my mother's old remote. Just in different locations and a differnt layout, with different sized keys. Popped the included 12V battery in (the tiny kind--smaller than Triple AAA's), the ones they also use for wireless doorbell chime transmitters, and gave the remote a whirl.

The remote has the same soft touch response as the one pictured on the website. All keys performed admirably. My mother's Craftmade ceiling fan rotated, reversed when prompted to change the direction of air flow, spun faster, etc. The lights dimmed when I held the appropriate key, & snapped on and off if the correct key was simply touched & released. Everything just WORKED!

So depsite the remote delivered looking totally different, it performed flawlessly & was completely compatible. And that's all I cared about. The big square key in the middle performs several functions, just consolidated on one key. It gets the job done along with the others. No problems here, and would purchase again if my mother needed another one (I used my Amazon account for convenience, the remote was for her).

A no-brainer if you require a solid replacement remote. It also comes with the wall bracket to hang the remote and can be operated out of that, if you so choose.

I've bought a couple of these now. These are great for adding accent lighting, and a lot of fun. The lighting unit itself is pretty small, so easy to hide in a corner. I placed two in opposite directions on two kitchen shelves and they add a nice glow and ambience, especially when set to different colors. There are a lot of color variations, there's no buzzing, and they stay cool to the touch. The remote works well, but the interface for switching to color cycling is a bit odd (you'll probably need the instructions to figure that out). Definitely happy with the purchase, and the price seems fair.

I wanted a lamp for my infant's room that was adjustable, and this fits the job perfectly. If you have kids you'll know that when they are very young and sleeping in a crib that you sometimes want LOW light, enough so you can see, but low enough so you don't wake them up too much when giving them back their pacifier, changing a diaper, etc. I have one of the memory buttons on this set to a very low dark red, which works perfectly in the middle of the night to not kill my night vision. During the day, you can set it to something brighter, I usually use a light blue. Having the remote is nice so you can place it out of the way but still control it from anywhere.

For those not clear on what you can adjust, here is what you can do... obviously, roll the wheel around to adjust the colors. You can also adjust the color saturation, from a deep color to white light. You can also adjust the brightness, from very dim to moderately bright. It's not something I'd want as a main light for a big room, but for smaller rooms if you don't need a ton of light, it illuminates them pretty well when bounced off a wall.

There are also two memory buttons you can preset. And you can also roll the wheel and click to get it to enter a mode where it smoothly cycles through all the colors, kind of like some party mode, it's a neat extra feature.

Overall I'm very pleased with this product and bought it despite some older reviews claiming theirs broke. I've been using this for over a month and no problems yet, hopefully it continues to work well for a long time!
