I bought this bulb for a clear glass hanging pendant purchased from PB. The bulb looks sooo cute and makes the fixture look absolutely perfect. The light it puts out is somewhat dim and on the gold side, which I love for that retro look. Plus, it doesn't blind us in the clear glass fixture. I cannot comment on how long the bulb lasts...mine is going strong but it has only been two weeks. If you're going for that retro look seen in the PB catalog, get this bulb. It's the perfect little detail to make your fixture stand out. I'm on here ordering more.

The Amazon photo doesn't really do this bulb justice. I bought one to use as a vintage style lightbulb in a music video and couldn't be more pleased with the results.

I was concerned about shipping such a fragile item, but it is quite nicely packaged by the manufacturer. I'll probably be buying quite a few more Bulbrite brand bulbs.

I installed this bulb in an Ikea fixture and it makes the whole thing look like a genuine antique. The filament is amazing and gives off a great glow.

I was looking for lighting for my bedroom. I had an old rod lamp and wanted to complete the look with just the right bulb. This 40-watt fit the bill perfectly. It gives off a very usable soft white-orange light. It lights my room enough so that I can read @ night. This bulb is a great addition to complete the retro look. The color of the light it gives off is very relaxing. In an age of CFL lights, this bulb is not at all harsh or intrusive. You will enjoy the light from this "classic" bulb.

I bought 2 of these bulbs for one lamp (purchased one as a replacement) but loved it so much I used it in another pendant light I have. I love the vintage look of it! They arrived quickly and in perfect shape.

Very pretty lamp! Perfect for my desk, very soft light. My only complaint is that the metal is not as dark as pictured, its a few shades lighter than show. Still happy to have bought it.

I ordered this chandelier for my 12 year old daughter's bedroom. It's absolutely beautiful! I hired an electrician to install it and put in a dimmer switch (highly recommend the dimmer switch). The electrician couldn't believe I only paid $99 for it. My husband assembled it and my daughter and I put the beads on super easy! I also spoke with the seller's customer service rep because I accidentally ordered the chandelier twice. Excellent customer service.

Beautiful chandelier, but the assembly instructions were terrible. The instructions also say something like 20 min. to assemble. Try 1 1/2 hours. My daughter loves it and it does look beautiful hanging in her room.

This light was not difficult for me to put together. There were parts included though that did not go on this light or at least were not shown in the picture. They did give extra parts which is nice since I dropped and broke a few of the bigger crystals right off. This is in my 2 year old daughters room and it looks lovely. She loves how pretty it is and always requests to have the light on now. it is the perfect size for her small room.

The "crystals" don't provide any shade, so you'll want to either get yourself a lower wattage bulb or suffer the glare that this pretty little number will shine on you and everything in it's path.

The lamp looks nothing like it is pictured, or described. It is described as "antique nickle," and looks shiny in the picture, but is more like plastic sprayed with silver paint -dull and grey, with no shine at all. It looks tacky, and feels like it weighs an ounce. It looks like something you would buy for five dollars at the dollar store, or something you would use to work under the hood of your car. Furthermore, I bought two used ones in "like new" condition, but one arrived with a deep dent in the top of the lamp the size of a fifty-cent piece, and it was stuck at a forty-five degree angle. I haven't received the other one yet, but can't use only one (not that I would want it anyway), so I am returning both. I can't believe I spent nearly ninety dollars for these, much less that they are being sold for nearly one-hundred dollars each new. I am sorely disappointed in Amazon for this one, and will be even more disappointed and shocked if I don't receive a full refund, including the cost of return shipping.

The lamp has a good look to it but the quality is questionable especially for the price. The finish has some minor nicks, the mounting plate is for an electical box not a surface (wall) mount installation and one of the nuts was not threaded properly. The most annoying thing was you can only use standard filament light bulbs because of the type of socket they used. The socket is to deep and CFL and/or LED bulbs will not fit.

When I addressed the abovewith the company, which took an couple of email for them to understand that I just wanted a nut to finish the installation, they ended up sending me a replacement lamp which had the same issues as the first one?

Very easy to install, it plugs into a standard electrical outlet as opposed to hard-wired. It fastens to a plate you attach to the walls with two screw anchors. So basically if you know how to put a couple anchors in a wall you can install this.

The metal appears to be bronze-plated zinc.
