I bought this light for a new oil painting that I just purchased. It is OK, but not fantastic. My painting is 2 ft. wide, and the description said it would be good for art 3 ft. wide. In any event, the light is nice looking and easy to affix to the frame. Since its battery operated there's no cord to worry about-all pluses. On the other hand, I do wish it was a little brighter to show off the beautiful piece I just purchased.

This light was easy to install, it is convenient for a spot not accessible to an electric source, but I am very disappointed in the quality of light. It has a dimmer function, but it is not really to necessary as the volume of light from it is very poor.

Would I recommend it? Only if you don't mind the lack of brightness.

I already had several of these throughout the house, so I knew I would like it! This takes up to a 40 watt bulb. I found that for most locations a 25 watt bulb is more than adequate. This latest lamp was installed in a small hallway. In this location the 25 watts put out way too much light. I swapped in a 15 watt bulb -much better. It is nice that this lamp uses a very widely available size of bulb that can be obtained in various wattages.

The quality of the lamp is very good. It comes with a very long cord which really isn't needed if you are plugging in to an outlet behind the picture. In fact it takes some doing to tightly wind the cord so that it sits behind the painting without lifting it away from the wall. I suppose I could shorten the cord.

I didn't know about these temperature control mixing valve systems until we started planning our major bathroom renovation. The new plumbing code requires temperature limit control to avoid accidental burns from full-on hot water. The rough-in valve is used in combination with the separately purchased Posi-temp valve trim kit and this rough-in valve includes stops. Stops allow the hot and/or cold water feeds to be turned off so that the cartridge can be replaced without shutting off the water further upstream or to the entire house. Neat thing is that the stops work as intended since I installed the trim kit and needed to shut off the water to make an installation correction.

I bought the sweat-on valve (also comes screwed) and had it installed by the plumber who did our rough-in work. Then, after installing the trim kit, I set the temperature limit per the accompanying instructions. No problems and really like the combined system. Great temperature control without fear of too hot.

I am happy with these extension cords. I try to match the wire gauge for the power strip and the job I'm doing. These are 14 gauge wire and they are nice. For bigger loads go with a 12 gauge wire but they are thicker, bigger and cost more.

They are 14 guage, 50 ft black extension cords. I have no issues with kink. They are not too thick an unravel nicely.They seem to work as a 14AWG cord should. I bought them because in local home reno and dept stores, they are the same price for only 1. So a great deal for me.

Unfortunately they took a month to arrive. The original Amazon recommended seller gave me a horrible experience. After reporting in stock on Amazon, they pushed back the date 3 times making me reorder each time because of continual in and out of stock excuses and then cancelled my order without discussing it. Bothers me that Amazon doesn't email me requests for seller input when I have a bad experience. Beware Amazon's recommended seller of this item.

A large and solid lamp with ample glass shades and good light diffusion through the shades. I wasn't too crazy about the design on the base of the lamp (a kind of petal ornament), and for some reason, the very last end of the wire near the top of the lamp could not be pulled through the entire tubular stand, as the rest of the cord had been, so we had to bunch that part of it into the top section of the stand. Nevertheless, despite these objections, the lamp is quite beautiful and useful.

We needed a lamp for our (extremely) dark living room. After reading the reviews, I chose this one. As others have noted, the packaging for this lamp was the best packaging I've ever seen-extremely well packaged, yet pretty easy to get open. I managed to put the lamp together, by myself, in about six minutes, without reading the directions. I am NOT good at putting things together, so this speaks volumes for the ease of assembly. The lamp is heavy (nice if you have kids who tend to run through the room), but really pretty. The light it puts out is clean and well dispersed, and I love the fact that the lower lamp is adjustable. I read and work with student papers a lot, and the reading lamp makes this process so much easier. The lamp is really nice looking. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and I'd recommend this lamp highly, particularly if you're looking to light a dark space.

I bought this lamp after looking online for a functional, nice-looking lamp for my study. I have bought a few of these kinds of lamps over the past couple of yeasr, and overall it's about an average lamp.

PROS:

The glass in the lamp has a beautiful design swirl design making the piece look very elegant when turned "on".

The additional small lamp is movable so is very functional.

CONS:

The large lamp is difficult to turn on or off, especially off after the lamp has been on for quite sometime. The knob is quite small and difficult to grip, so I ended up having to put a piece of tape on the knob to make it easier to turn the lamp off hence 3 stars only.

Overall, this lamp looks nice, but for the price, you should be able to find a lamp that looks as nice and is easier to turn on and off.

This lamp is heavy, substantial, and well designed. The shipping package is superb and protects the lamp components very well, and assembly is easy and straightforward. The brushed steel finish is flawless, and the extremely heavy base is embossed with a nice decoration instead of just being plain. The swirled white glass globes are also quite heavy and provide excellent diffusion for the lights. It uses a regular 3-way bulb for the upper light (with a regular socket so you are not forced to use a CFL bulb) and the lower adjustable reading lamp uses a regular bulb as well. The upper lamp provides nicely diffused general lighting in a room, while the reading lamp can be adjusted to put light exactly where you want it. The design and weight of this floor lamp make it quite stable and unlikely to be knocked over.

I bought one for our family room and liked it so well that I soon purchased another for the sitting area in our bedroom. We have been very happy with both of them, as you can have as much room light as you want out of the upper lamp, and the lower flexible-arm lamp is at precisely the right height to be used next to a comfortable chair for reading a newspaper or book.

Note that these lamps come in several finishes, so while brushed steel matched our decor there are a variety of other finishes and colors that may be a better match for you. If this is the style you're looking for, the quality of this lamp ought to satisfy you.

For the price, this is really a very nice lamp. I noticed as soon as I lifted the box from my front stoop that it was HEAVY. Putting it together took about 5 minutes. The globes are heavy, frosted glass, tastefully etched. It really is a quality lamp, probably rivaling similar lamps that cost much more. One note on the reading lamp. The warnings say to use a 40w maximum bulb. I saw in at least one review here that a 60w bulb would be fine. I tried one and found that I just didn't need that much light since the reading lamp part of the lamp is right over my right shoulder. Another nice feature is that the main lamp takes a 3-way bulb. Most of the "Mother Daughter" floor lamps take single wattage bulbs. I highly recommend this lamp, and bravo Amazon for getting it to me in less than 48 hours.

I purchased this to use while weaving. It's an excellent lamp that can be adjusted to different heights. The base is very heavy so the lamp doesn't tip over. The head can adjust down so that the light isn't shining in your face but on your reading or craft work. I even find my 15 year old using it. I highly recommend this lamp.

My mother-in-law was instructed to get a gooseneck reading lamp that could be placed between reading material and her face in order to improve her reading capability as she has macular degeneration. This is the only reasonably priced lamp that adjusts low enough in height to be used for reading while sitting in a chair and then the gooseneck adjusts further for your convenience. Sturdy, heavy base to prevent tipping, great quality. Just what we needed. Arrived in perfect condition in short amount of time.

We have a similar lamp in another room so I knew the design would fit our needs. I wasn't sure if the quality would be as good as our other lamp which is an old style medical lamp and is very sturdy. The Hausmann Lamp has a heavy base that sits firmly, even on the carpet and does not try to tip when you adjust the head. It is not what you would call a decorative lamp (we bought it for the living room) but I was more interested in the functionality than the style. If you want a good light to read by, I would recommend this one.

This work light has a surprising bright light! In addition to providing bright light as a work light it can also be used in an emergency to flash red light. The switch to turn on each mode works smoothly and easily, despite being covered by a silicone cover to keep the unit water tight.

The work light has a neoprene handle and a steady base (which can be removed if desired). The light can be pivoted to control what area it lights up.

It comes with rechargeable lithium battery and two charging cables: AC plug and car plug. After fully charging the unit, I left it turned on (bright light setting) until the light went out. The light operated 1 hours 52 minutes on one full charge. It continued to be the same brightness to the very last second.

It weighs 3 pound 6.5 oz on my digital scale. It is 10.5" tall (from the bottom of the base to the top of the handle), and base size is 7.25" x 8".

This light looks good, but beware, it is quite small take a good look at the dimensions. It's my own fault for not paying attention I was surprised to see it is about one half the size I thought it would be. It is also not as shiney as it appears in the picture. Read the specs carefully! It also doesn't use normal screw-in bulbs, and has a max wattage of only 13.

This light looks great and has a photo sensitive diode that automatically turns on when it gets dark outside. My only gripe is that it uses twist and lock bulbs instead of normal screw in type. I went so far as to buy an adapter because I could not find a yellow anti bug bulb with the twist and lock connector.

Mine was shipped with no padding around it. No styrofoam or even space between the lamp and the box. I'm surprised the glass wasn't broken. I opened it and it was, of course, bent, so I returned it. That worked out for the best because it looked just a little cheap only because it seemed small. I ordered something different through a local store.

If you like it, I would recommend the larger version. (and I hope they pack yours properly.) You should also know, it's not quite as shiny as the photo. Two of these would probably look nice in a bathroom.

(FYI They blamed UPS. The box was in good condition.)

Delivered on time, and the unique look that matches basketmaker's kitchen decor. Competitor's weave design was discontinued. Like the flexibilty of this one, even though we assembled pretty much as shown. The spiral weave decoration is actually a separate piece with male thread on each end of a four inch insert. You get 2 six inch rods and 2 twelve inch rods with female threads on each end. So, the shortest length of a pendand is 16 inches. Since we wanted to hang 3 of pendants at 3 different lengths, this wasn't really as close to the ceiling as we hoped. So, I cut one end off of an unused rod and made a close nipple out of it. Worked well. Love them the way installed. If Dolan provided a single one inch "rod" connector it would have been the perfect pendant.

The Georgian finish comes with amber glass globes that tone down the light and give a rich look, perfect for dining. Glad we decided not to go with the brushed metal finish.
