This is a very nice, well built light fixture, BUT it is very poorly packed for shipping. I have ordered 4 of these and all 4 have arrived with broken glass. There are 4 panes of glass for each light and in every case ALL 4 panes arrived broken. There is no packing inside the light fixture and during UPS shipping the glass panes come loose from their tabs and break into hundreds of pieces. Good fixture, POOR packaging.

I mounted the lamp over my desk and laptop areas. It was easy to hang as it's very lightweight. The fabric shade and the classic shape is very pleasing to the eye. It has turned out to be perfect for my needs and takes a compact fluorescent bulb which is just right for my workspace. I would have no hesitation about using this in a dressy or classic decor area.

Was looking for something to hang over my Embroidery Machine. I paid a little more than most of the items listed on Amazon as I was wanting a good quality Swag Lamp. Quality is just OK. The cord is a goldish yellow color and very puzzled why they wouldn't use the clear cord with the Pewter chain. Will serve the purpose and will keep but feel item is overpriced for what you get.

My wife and I moved into our new home last year, and this fixture was in the bathroom. We actually like the looks of it a lot. Three months later, one of the bulbs went out, and I quickly learn that the socket blew out as a replacement bulb wasn't working. Maybe seven months later, another socket blew out. Because it left a footprint on the wall behind it (which wasn't surprising) we chose to get another one. They seemed to have updated the hardware slightly, but did not update the instructions. I was looking for the three rings that hold the glass covers down like a crazy person only to find out they changed the nut that screws on to a much larger design so that you didn't need those rings anymore. However the instructions said it was in the box...so it took me a bit to figure that one out.

Here's the important difference with this unit. The previous owners kept the manual for the old unit. In that, it warms use 100 watt max bulbs, and if I was to guess they included three 100 watt bulbs (which were still in the old unit when we bought the house). The new one I just installed warns of using 75 watt bulbs. My guess is Quiotzel overrated the sockets on older versions of this model, and they were burning out. Since I didn't buy the old one in my house I don't have much ground to stand on, however if someone bought one that used 100 watt bulbs I would be in touch with Quiotzel about this...

To play it safe, we decided to use 45 watt bulbs and so far so good. It gives plenty of light in our medium sized bathroom. We love the look of it, but older versions of this model seem to have an issue with the sockets.

I have two of these side by side and my bathroom is glowing like the sun. 6 100 watt bulbs is way too much power without dim capability. Also 2 of the bulbs burnt out within the first week. Not sure if it was a glitch or a headache I will be dealing with constantly...

Just past Amazon's window to return these items, the lamps started to flicker and go out intermittently. Adjusting the shade will get it lit again for awhile, but within hours (days, if I'm lucky), it's out again. I had my contractor work on them, but no luck. He said the wiring is bad inside the fixture and he could only do so much with it. Since I can't return them (I bought 2), I may have to bring in an electrician next. Then, I guess I throw them away. At $170 each, that hurts.

Bought this lamp over a year ago, and although it serves it's purpose well, I would not buy this lamp again.

First, the lamp switch constantly jams, such that it takes me forever to turn the lamp on/off. It seems that switch thread was a cheap piece with no threads, so the switch just turns around and around.

Also, the lamp head cannot stand up on its own-the bolts to tighten it do not go far enough to keep it in place, so the head just droops. I at one point super-glued the hinge to keep it in place, but it's pretty ridiculous.

If you are in the market for a piano lamp, look elsewhere before coming back to this one. It is simply not worth the price.

I am a piano teacher. This lamp seemed like a good value ($49) so I bought it for my second piano and used it very rarely. Nonetheless, about two months after buying it, I noticed that no matter how tightly I turned one of its screws, it would fall to its lowest position. I regret having bought it and suggest that you look elsewhere and perhaps pay a little more.

For Solar Lights they pretty bright but not super bright.

The light is mostly white with a slight tint of blue (Most LEDs are like this).

The light goes out about 10 feet on a pitch dark night.

In sunny CA the lights last at max lumes for about 6 hours & then slowly gets dimmer but it lasts all night.

Too bad the cosmetic designs are limited.

More base options would be better too as the six sided design does not match most posts.

The lamps (I bought a pair) worked fine for maybe 18 months, bright enough to show the driveway entrance, but the NiMH 4.8V battery pack didn't make it to the 3 years as claimed. I can deal with that, but to make the problem worse, no one (I searched the internet) has replacement batteries for it. There are 4 cell packs available with similar, or better specs, but it doesn't look like the connectors will match. I was hoping not to have yet another disposable solar light product, but it's looking like that's what's happening.

Note that the company now makes this model with Li-Ion batteries (not compatible of course with the older model). I hope the new one works better...

Purchased this hood about 3 years ago. Initially it was very quiet and lived up to my expectations but within 6 months it started to make a god awful annoying growling noise. More noise than a busted chain saw. Replaced the motor twice and within 6 months the noise returned. Scanning the web I see many people with the same problem and they indicate that Nutone will not provide any relief. Stay away from this product.

We purchased this to replace an old, very noisy, Ventline range hood. The Broan was easy to install; fan is very quiet and has multiple speeds ranging from very low to very high that work well at eliminating cooking odors from inside the house; the light has a low and high setting (2 A-15 appliance lamps not included) and provides plenty of light for cooking. We would highly recommend this to anyone wishing to replace their old noisy range hood with a new quiet model!

Really nice looking range hood and installed very easily. Based on some of the other reviews about the motor making a loud noise after 6 months or so... I looked it over and found that there could be some potential for vibration/rattles from the vertical vent cutouts. I'm not sure if the other reviewers had an actual motor issue or possibly just a rattle when it was on. I chose to vent mine back into the room (Need a charcoal filter not included) and placed a few strips of duck tape across the cutouts on the top of the hood. It created a nice seal and also a barrier between the metal hood and underside of the cabinet. So far I think it is very quiet and works very well.

I put in 2 micro CFL bulbs for the lights a little tight but man the light output on my cooktop is awesome!

i installed this range hood the same day i received it. i like it very much.

the one problem i had with it was the smell of the black paint. left a fishy smell odor.

i could not figure out what that was at first untill i smelt the range hood itself. (funny)

all in all it preforms fine.
