The lamp itself is quite nice, actually looked bigger than we expected. However, the shade was very cheap. We bought two of these lamps, and one of the shades had a dent in it when it arrived. We plan on replacing the lamp shades anyway, so I didn't bother with a return, but I think for a $60 table lamp, the shade could have been nicer.

I like the contemporary look. Most lamps come with round shades. This lamp has an oval shade which compliments the shape of the base. I had to send the first lamp back as the ceramic base had a few flaws. When I notified Amazon, the lamp was picked up the next day for return at no charge. I received a replacement "Oh table lamp" in just a few days.

I ordered this lamp through amazon from Home Decorators Collection and was really disappointed when I opened the box and it was broken. I have it a 3 because the lamp looked like it would be really nice if the bottom hasn't shattered. The problem was the packaging. There were cardboard triangles to try to keep the shape of the lap shade(which looked fine) but other than that there were only two pieces of styrofoam around part of the lamp and some brown paper. The item was not packed in tight or even shipped with bible wrap of any kind. They are going to give me a refund and after that I am willing to try to reorder as long as it's still in stock.... anywhere :-/

Searching for just the right desk lamp for my setup, I came across this unreviewed one. Key things I was looking for in a desk lamp were: be able to come from behind a 22" monitor and extend around the front, have a sleek finish while not cheaply made, and provide plenty of light. This lamp acheived all that and more!

The individually adjustable lights are a real nice feature. This allows the base to sit off the back side of a monitor and have the lights curve around front. It also allows for virtually any position of lighting when adjusting the flexible armature as well. However, some of the adjustable lights did not hold their position against gravity. You really just have to find that 'happy medium' where the lights will stay in the spot you want them to. Not a big deal for me and they may have a screw adjustment if it becomes an issue for others. Note: I wouldn't try and apply too much force to the lights themselves when repositioning.

The construction is sleek, sturdy and not cheaply made. The finish is glossy black and matches my 22" monitors exactly. The lamps are matte plastic with gloss black tops. The armature is glossy flexible metal and the base is glossy plastic. The base is weighted so the lamp will not fall over no matter how awkward the lights are positioned. However, when adjusting the lamp, you must keep the base from moving cause it's not weighted that much. The touch switch rather than toggle is a real nice feature. No effort needed to power on and adjust brightness. Touch switch works like this: Low->Med->Full bright->Off. I could do without the company logo on the base, but it's not a distraction.

The lighting is way above average for LEDs as far as I'm concerned. I'm no LED expert, and there is no mention of how many lumens, but this lamp is bright enough to illuminate half my desk fully and still be able to see clear off the desk in a total dark background. Only 5W consumption is impressive as well. The nice thing about this lamp is not only can you tailor the spread of light from the adjustable heads, but each head has its LEDs angled out to create a flood effect. This works very well as it is more like a flood light than flashlight. Another cool thing, and this has more to do with LED lamps in general, is unless you have the lamp heads pointed right at you, there is no glare by looking at the LEDs.

I hope this first review helps someone decide on this light if they are wondering. There were no reviews anywhere on the net about this so I took a chance and it worked out nicely.

I saw this item originally in the MOMA catalogue and it looked very chic. But when I took it out of the box it seemed cheaply made so I never even plugged it in.

Just so buyers know under "Important Information" it says bulb voltage is 120 volts which is wrong. The voltage to and from the switch needs to be 120 volts. But the voltage to the bulbs (LED's) is low voltage depending on the dimmable low voltage transformer. It can be 12 volts, 24 volts, etc.

Having said that this dimmer is an outstanding dimmer. I like all Lutron dimmers, switches, wireless blinds, etc. They make great products.

Although I have no way of really measuring the watts used, if they use what they say they use, I will save 90% on the electricity in that room. now I have to change the rest of the lights in the house.

I like the light these LEDs give off. It is much different than an incandescent light, but bright and I like that.

I ordered four of these light fixtures for my mid-century ranch house because I thought that the style was perfect for the era of the house. The description of the fixture as "heavy duty" is a bit misleading. Two of the fixtures arrived damagedthe walls of the cylinder are thin and they were crushed. One of the damaged lights also had a dent in its top edge. Given the quality, I am left thinking that I overpaid by about $20 per fixture. And for those of you with an eye for detail, the interior of the cylinder is black, not white as in the photo. In the end, I still really like the look of the fixtures, including the powder coat finish, I just expected better quality because of how the product was described!

I bought 4 of these. Two were damaged. The damage was not caused by shipping. They are clearly a manufacturer's defect. So, no quality control?? Also, the finish is NOT metallic. It's more of a Gun Metal Gray. If you're looking for modern lighting at a reasonable price, this product is not what you want. I suggest you pay more for the real brushed nickel or brushed stainless.

Cheap Design House 503284 2-Light Ceiling Mount, 4.5-Inch by 13-3/8-Inch

Once you get these light fixtures installed, you will probably like how they look, however between receiving them in the box and installing them, be prepared for some aggravation and (likely) cursing.

The machining of the metal parts leaves something to be desired and you may feel like you have to pay somewhat with your own sweat labor to get the thing together and to work properly. I think this is due to poor quality control and the attempt to make a decent looking fixture to a low price point, so corners were cut in the production. I had the most problem with the outer metal parts which (hopefully) hold the glass lens in position so it can be installed over the light bulbs. In 2/4 cases this assembly was so poorly made and fell apart before I even touched it, that I felt like I was finish labor on the Chinese lighting goods assembly line that produced this product. In one case I basically had to remake the brackets holding the screws that keep these metal parts together, which was easier than sending the product back.

The last two of 6 ordered were shipped separately (all were ordered at the same time) and by the time they arrived I'd already installed the other 4 (with a lot of cursing in the process). One of the last 2 that arrived obviously had its glass piece shattered as I could hear the pieces moving around when I lifted the unopened box. I decided to return these last 2 fixtures as I needed a matched pair for the remaining location, plus the thought of fighting with this marginally made product was going to take every last ounce of my remaining patience. I decided to order something else instead.

On the plus side, the glass lens is a plus compared to many similarly priced fixtures that have plastic lenses and that look very cheap (which this does not).

Finally, I found that only one 13w compact fluorescent bulb was more than sufficient to provide the lighting I needed from these fixtures. If you install 2 bulbs these fixtures can throw a lot of light.

Looks good and works very well. Only complain is that the sides are open to the ceiling, allowing the odd moth or mosquito to find it's way in quite easily. Easy enough to remove the cap and clean, though.

We wanted a light that was simple but didn't look like every other boring dome ceiling light. This light is great! It has a wider diameter than most ceiling lights which makes it stand out, and the design is nice. It is made of quality material which is great because I hate it when things look cheap. I definitely recommend this light.

I needed a replacement ceiling light over my kitchen sink, but I didn't want one that uses bulbs that are hard to find. I also wanted one that looked nice to go with items in my kitchen, which has stainless faucet and appliances. After reading positive reviews about this light I decided to buy it. I was unable to find it in any stores, so ordered it here, thinking I may not get it for a week or so. It arrived in 2 days! I now have it installed and it looks great it has real glass instead of plastic and it's really good looking, plus it provides ample lighting.

These are wicked cool reflectors in more ways than one. The lensed reflectors really keep the heat away from the plants. I'm using 1000 wt HPS systems with windtunnel centrifuge type fans and it's a cool 70 degrees in the tents. ( only a 1 degree difference from the surrounding room ) Can't ask for better than that. The units are also as solid as a rock and the interiors are decked out with equally excellent reflector material. Highly recommended for serious indoor grows.

This reflector is awesome! The quality is high and the materials are durable! I love the footprint that this reflector provides and the glass to shield the plants from heat! One word of cautionBe advised that this reflector comes with a cord that will require the use of an adaptor if not used with a Hydrofarm ballast, becasue Hydrofarm uses a unique plug type. Very Well made both structurally and electrically solid and safe. Heavy gauge well finished, no sharp corners. Works well and very fairly priced. Easy to install with well designed hangars that attach to a structural part of the fixture rather than flimsy add-on brackets as on many other designs. Much safer than open lamp fixtures. CSA electrical certification and would probably meet UL if tested. Well packed in a large sturdy carton Amazon free shipping made it an even better deal.

The panel to access the bulb is not hinged as shown. It has a trim plate that needs to be removed then the glass can be removed for access. Other than that I like it.
