Ths is a very, very, nice lamp. It was packaged extremely well. It is a beautiful and very colorful lamp. It goes so well with the Thomas the Train bedroom I have for my grandson. He loves the touch lamp. It is very easy to put together and is very sturdy. I think anyone who has a Thomas the Train lover in their home, should buy this lamp. The kids will love it!

Thomas the Train Black Chrome Touch Lamp Reviews
This lamp is a really beautiful touch lamp. The pictures on the glass panes are not stickers, but part of the glass itself. I was impressed with the quality. The only thing I would improve is the amount of light it puts out. It does not light up the room, but makes a perfect night light on it's lowest setting and works perfect for my grandson. A higher wattage of light bulb may make it brighter, but I am not sure if that can or should be done.

At this price, you'd think these fixtures would come on when you flip the switch and then stay on without flickering and strobing. Well, they don't. I suspect it's due to inferior electronics because the problems are very transient from fixture to fixture, but always present somewhere among the 20 fixtures I had installed by a very competent electrician. Of all the purchases I made in a major remodel, this is the one I regret the most. This was $1,500 worth of product and they are simply aggravating. Having to climb up onto a kitchen counter to re-set a strobing fixture on top of cabinets near the ceiling every time I turn them on gets old real fast. On top of all that, they have very inconsistent color rendition, very noticeable when shining onto a white ceiling. The reseller I got these from no longer carries them and American Fluorescent, the manufacturer, won't respond to e-mails. Maybe they know these things were "not ready for prime time." Steer clear of these.

Dimensions are 0.9" x 6" x 9.25" approx. It is small enough to put two or three beneath a 3ft kitchen cabinet. You will need at least two per 3ft cabinet, and perhaps three if you want really bright light. It works well, giving sufficient illumination, although you will not be blinded by light. I bought six of them, and the odd LED went out right from the beginning, but no more blew out. I am still using them, and like their light, their looks and illumination. Their illumination is special, because the light is spread out over the whole panel. Many LED illuminators have two or three or so very bright LEDs that are a bit blinding in one spot. These just plug in the wall, while if you want to hardwire them, you have to buy an extra box, which is about a third the size of the light itself and even a bit thicker. The color temperature is variable. Some of the units I bought had a yellowish light, while others were more like white light. I will be buying more, and I expect they will last a long time. Mine have been in for about 18 months, as I write.Its now a number of years since I wrote this review The lights have very slowly dimmed over time, and two out of about 12 of them flicker on their most bright setting. There are two settings operated by a small push switch on the face of the device. The less bright setting causes the flickering to stop.

Designers Edge L-2552PW 15-1/2-Inch Dual Eye Motion-Activated Review
I bought three of these units. Installation, replacing non-motion-sensitive lights of similar size, was straightforward. I soldered all the connections rather than trusting to twisting bare wires together. This meant I needed larger acorn insulaters than were supplied, but that was not a problem. I like the flexible programming the lights allow, including a choice of dusk-to-dawn when needed. I installed compact fluorescent bulbs, providing lots of light for relatively little electricity consumption. Some electronic units are disturbed by compact fluorescents, but these are apparently immune. I shopped around before selecting this lamp -it was significantly less expensive than others with similar features. Overall it is an excellent value.
We believe it is from the same brand, it looks identical with very minor different in the wiring. The last one lasted 10 years and getting rusty and "moody" at times. This one does what it says. some minor adjustment was made to fit into our old fixture. We had to use the old screw, because it was longer than the new one.
otherwise a great light for the next ten years, we hope.
1. This does NOT have the low output setting... that is... the bulb glowing softer than normal as continuous operation and only glowing louder when triggered by motion sensor. This isn't for you if THAT is what you want.
2. I would give the paint quality 4 out of 5 but overall build quality 5 out of 5.
3. The highest sensitivity setting may not be good for those who want a large distance covered. By "distance", I mean, how far away from you want the sensor to trigger the light. Mine triggers around 8-10 ft displacement from the sensor which is fine for me.
4. Installation was easy and it worked just as expected. This was not the case with the previous lights I had purchased from Lowe's. Newbee note: Just remember to install correctly. These products have 4 wires instead of the 3 in normal lamps. The 4th wire is for the next-in-series lamp that you might want to control by THIS light's motion sensor... so that both come on when THIS light's motion sensor is triggered. Just don't connect that 4th wire to anything if you don't need to and it should work as normal.
5. For those times when you need it on while gulping beer in your patio... switch on and off 3 times in 3 seconds to toggle from sensor mode to always on mode. If u forget to toggle back to sensor mode, the always on mode turns back to sensor mode next morning... assuming there's sun showing up in your patio the next morning.
6. If my budget is the same and I don't need a low setting light, I will purchase this again instead of running around and comparing a million others.
Update three months later: Working flawlessly. As I approach the porch, the light comes on, and provides safe illumination and allows me to easily find the lock for the house key. It is stylish and attractive.

This is an attractive lantern that provides ample lighting as well as security. I really like that it can be set as a dusk to dawn light or motion detection. It is great for approaching the front steps and the light illuminates the area. We installed this light facing a car travel lane 50 feet (15 meters) away on a fairly busy street. Even with the lowest setting, it stays on all night. it would have been nice to have an even lower setting. I think I spent hours looking for a simple, modern light fixture for my half bath. I finally found this one that fit the bill so I ordered it.
First, the instructions provided are nearly useless. I had to just guess and figure it out by myself. Second, the quality of the fixture isn't that great. The metal base that goes along the wall is OK, but it's not easy to screw in a light bulb in the socket; I was worried that the glass part of the bulb was going to break away from the metal spiral. Also, the metal bracket provided did not really fit my standard junction box in the wall.
The big letdown is the glass piece. Yes, it is frosted, but not via etching (which I believe should have been done). Instead, it seems to be some sort of spray-on frost that comes off easily just via a fingernail scratch. I would not wipe the glass piece with a wet rag, for fear that more frost will come off.
If you are considering this item, just know what you are getting before you order it.

I'd been shopping for a pair of lamps for our Asian-styled bedroom when I came across the Kenroy Vail. I am a mid-range shopper and the cost was much less than I'd intended to spend, so I was concerned the quality & overall appearance wouldn't measure up. I was pleasantly surprised when I found them to be quite solidly built for the price. I thought the slate base may appear too 'tacky', but I do love natural stone and use it throughout my home. The slate and other materials used nicely complement our Asian theme. Although I'm not sure I would feel comfortable displaying them in the main living area of my home; on the bdrm nightstands, they are perfect! The linen shade casts a pleasant, cozy glow, but is also bright enough to read a favorite novel before dozing.

I bought this in the Country Stone finish on clearance and converted it to a swag chain lamp for a loft room. If I remember right, this lamp comes with about 6 feet of chain and 20 feet of cord. It also comes with a swivel pendant mount. I used a swag lamp kit to convert this. The lamp body and the large 18" diameter glass reflector, along with the related hardware, are all good quality and finish. It uses bulbs with a standard base.

These SG-83055 fixtures (in both white and black) are made of plastic, NOT metal. For $60 that is ridiculous, you can buy the same fixtures from other manufacturers (nearly identical in appearance) for $40 at Home Depot or Lowes. I reported this to Amazon, they gave me a price adjustment and promised to update the product details here to indicate these products are made of plastic. They get two stars (vs. 1) because I did opt to keep them and give them a try because I like the nautical style, I'm just not crazy about the idea of putting plastic outdoor fixtures on my Cape Cod home.

Very attractive lamp and it fits my decor perfectly. Looks more expensive than it was. The shade is more of a tan color than ivory but gives off plenty of light and is very attractive. You do have to put the lamp together, i.e., attach the base to the lamp, and, of course place the shade and finial on top.
I would definitely recommend this lamp. My daughter is an interior designer and she said she loves it too.

I received this lamp just before Christmas and love it. The height is great, higher than my previous table lamp so gives me more light when reading. The three way bulb is great. I can have the lower light level on for more of a mood lighting in my living room or switch it on the highest level for reading. Not a bad product, it provides light like any other lamp, could have shipped with a fluorescent that has whiter light, but nothing a quick trip to home depot cant fix. This sconce replaced some very cheap sconces in my dining room. They are packed very well so there shouldn't be any damage from shipping. They were easy to install and came with instructions and all the parts needed. They are well made and sturdy. The bronze color and the frosted glass go well with each other and they look great on the wall. Can't recommend them enough. In fact, after installing these I bought four Minka sconces in a different style to replace the cheap sconces in my family room. We like the sconces, especially the look. They installed easily and leave a nice glow above and below. We put in a total of eight of these around a stair case. No damage or issues. Shipped quick. I'm thinking about putting a similar style from this manufacturer above our bathroom sink.I think these will be easy to maintain because the curved glass in front pulls out the top so changing future light bulbs will be with minimal effort.

We purchased this fixture along with 2 other sconces in the same line/style. We like the others however this particular fixture has an odd greenish glow to the glass which is very noticeable and not aesthetically pleasing. We tried several different bulbsvarying wattage, clear, frost, decorative, etc. Nothing changes the neon like glow. Unfortunately it is installed and we are stuck with it for now. I put two of these a the front door of a two story colonial home and they looked so nice I ordered two more for the garage.They are easy to install and have an expensive look and feel. They are of medium size so they look substantial but not big.
It mounts with the fairly standard X bracket that you screw onto the outlet box and then mount the fixture onto the two protruding screw studs.
The screw studs are about an inch long and they are designed to be adjustable to you can screw them in or out of the mounting bracket so that they only protrude about a 1/4" through the light fixture mounting plate.
For my installation when the mounting screws were adjusted they went too far back and hit the sides of the outlet box. I solved the problem by buying two 8-32 1/2" stainless steel screws and used them to replace the longer screws. When fully screwed into the back of the X bracket they protruded exactly right for the textured nuts that hold the fixture onto the bracket.
And while you are at the hardware store buy some wire nuts for 12-14 gauge wire (you need two per fixture) because the fixture does not come with any. The instructions also recommend you put some clear silicone sealant on the fixture mounting screws to make a water proof seal at the mounting nuts. They also recommend putting a small bead of caulk around three sides on the mounting plate (none at the bottom to allow ventilation) which is a must if the unit will get wet.
It probably took about 7 minutes to install each fixture. I used the new warm white LED light bulbs at are equal to 40W incandescent bulbs but use a fraction of the electricity and last for many years.
