Ths is a very, very, nice lamp. It was packaged extremely well. It is a beautiful and very colorful lamp. It goes so well with the Thomas the Train bedroom I have for my grandson. He loves the touch lamp. It is very easy to put together and is very sturdy. I think anyone who has a Thomas the Train lover in their home, should buy this lamp. The kids will love it!

Thomas the Train Black Chrome Touch Lamp Reviews
This lamp is a really beautiful touch lamp. The pictures on the glass panes are not stickers, but part of the glass itself. I was impressed with the quality. The only thing I would improve is the amount of light it puts out. It does not light up the room, but makes a perfect night light on it's lowest setting and works perfect for my grandson. A higher wattage of light bulb may make it brighter, but I am not sure if that can or should be done.

I wanted a high quality one of these lights because you get tired of climbing up the ladder to replace these lights every two years because the ballast fails. I looked all over for a usa made one but I don't believe they exist anymore. These lights all look identical but you can tell that this one is higher quality than other made in china ones that I have seen. The components fit well together and the internal wiring and ballast look to be well made. Hopefully it will last a long time. I like the 70 watt version because it gives off a nice soft glow without overpowering the night sky.

Did the research comparing all of the 'big, pole-mounted' units and purchased this one. (Tried cheaper unit first, DD-70S, but it doesn't come with an arm. So, I returned that one and got this one. The metal housing casting of BOTH units states 'Wall mount only', BUT the DDS model COMES WITH AN ARM and the DD one does not. An arm by itself is not available from the manufacturer! How about if my arm is damaged, say, in a storm?)Anyway, mounted unit on the same tree where my old 150W mercury unit gave up the ghost. Only this unit is mounted lower where I don't need a professional with a bucket truck (for an extra $200 charge) to replace bulb and sensor... about 12 feet up. I can do it for the cost of parts. And HPS puts out not that much LESS light than mercury at 1/2 the wattage!
Well, this unit illuminates my entire driveway circle in front of the house and garages. Also, getting a spare bulb as we lose power a lot. (I can just see me saving $200 bills all over the place! ! !)

I have had to send this back. While it is attractive, it is NOT (as other reviewers noted) Bronze looking. It looks like pewter with some copper rubbed into the creases. Both are lovely metals, neither are bronze.
From the glimpse I took of it, it really is a nice fixture for the price range. You can tell it is an inexpensive but it is still a HUGE step up from the fixtures that come standard from home builders. I would have kept it had it blended better with the hardware I have in my home. As it is, it is too close to other lighting in my home and would definitely appear as a black sheep in a white flock.
*I bought this after reading the reviews about the coloring. I thought "how far off can it be?" Well, it's pretty far off... I don't consider myself picky. I also had assumed (wrongly) that since the manufacturer was aware of the color issue that they would have corrected the problem. So if you are like I am, hoping others are wrong OR that the error has been fixed, don't click the buy button.

I was really disappointed with the quality of this chandelier. It doesn't sit straight, its lopsided, the metal arms aren't even and the glass shades are lopsided. I had to rig it up so it stays straight. Moved from a house to an apartment in a retirement community. Although we would probably have invested more in a chandelier for a house, we found that this item is 100% suitable for our smaller dining area. The details on the lamp were great. If you're a Blackhawks fan you will love the design. If you're looking for a lamp, I'd pass. The bulb base is set for a special cfl bulb, so you have to use the one that came with the lamp. It does not give off enough light to be useful. It would be better if you could use any bulb. Works well for a night light.

Received this as a Christmas gift. It arrived with some damage to the edge of the lamp shade but the manufacturer was able to replace it with a perfect one with no problems. ok... i'm really picky... the lamp is perfect as a great light source with killer understated style. the only... and i mean only... thing that took some work was getting the glass bowl turned to the best position. this lamp is great quality. the finish is flawless. i would recommend this lamp to anyone looking for brilliant, unique understated style in a floor lamp. i hope i can see more from this design team or person.

If you do not have another source of light for your patio table, this is a must have. My husband and I play cards for hours each night in the summer. No more dragging out the extension cord from the garage. This light is surprisingly bright, simple to use and lasts for several hours. My only complaint is that you must recharge it EVERY DAY, even if you have used it just a few minutes the night before. I would love an extra battery, but I can't find how to purchase an extra one. That said, this is my favorite patio purchase.

Used this light when I lost power for a week when Hurricane Sandy came through. Worked like a gem. I put it on top of my lampshade and it was just like the light was on. I did have a generator but wanted to run as little as possible on it b/c of the gas shortage. Just ordered 2 more b/c you never know what is going to happen!
