Not a bad product, it provides light like any other lamp, could have shipped with a fluorescent that has whiter light, but nothing a quick trip to home depot cant fix. The only problem I have is that the base is very round and curved so it eats up quite a bit of desktop real estate and it doesnt help that you cant place anything onto the base.Bought this sleek lamp after seeing one like it in a hotel room. My husband showed interest in its sleek design and the light output. Now he has one on a table where he uses his laptop. Good buy.
