product is very nice but i was missing a part. OneStop offered to send a replacement but i called Craftmade and they sent replacemnet part out right away. Good service from everybody. lets face it, problems with anything can come up. It's how the seller handles those problems that seperates the good from the bad. These people were good.

After agonizing about whether to spend so much money on a single pendant light, I went for it. No regrets! The lamp looks absolutely beautiful all lit up. The sole reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the "grout" lines (for lack of a better description) between tiles are much more prominent than depicted in the picture. Hence, the lamp has a bit more of a more rustic look than I expected. But I love it nonetheless and even got a second one.

I bought two of them and just like the larger pair I bought, they are unique and VERY pretty!!! The black/copper is sooo different and also SO MUCH MORE Beautiful then the usual colors you find the wall lanterns in. The metal looks aged and old style, they are just REALLY lovely!! We bought 2 of these online and were not sure what to expect, but were just glad they were 1/2 the price of similar 'designer' style lamps at a home decor store.
I'll give the 'bad news' first they aren't the highest quality they are made of particle-board type wood, and if you look really closely, the bars don't all line up with the corners of the shelves. But let me say, this is a really minor thing, and unless you look close, you wouldn't think these are low-quality at all.
Now the good news they are beautiful! They have a cool contemporary look, and add a lot to the room. With the shade, you get a soft glow, so they would make good 'mood lamps'. They are full-height floor lamps, and are much better than we expected for the price. If you can get over that they aren't high-end craftsmanship, you'll be very happy with these lamps.
We bought 2 and were impressed with how nice they were for the under-$80 price range, and we ended up buying a 3rd to use as a nightstand/lamp in a newly-decorated monochromatic bedroom.
I agree with the other reviewer that you have to make sure the shorter bars are at the top, this isn't obvious from the directions. It was easy to assemble, though!
Overall, I highly recommend these lamps, unless you have hundreds to spend and can get a similar one of higher quality from a boutique store.

My wife and and I love the look of this lamp, it looks beautiful, and the light is plenty bright for a small/medium size room. The only problem we had was the pull string broke after 3 months. If you check out Target's website, you'll see more reviews stating this. If you buy this, make sure you use a light switch or power strip to turn it on and off cause that pull chain is fragile. I have contacted the manufactuer twice about a replacement, but have been met with just a voice message box and no return calls so far. *9/16/09 update I called again, got a lady named Anna just now, she said they would send a replacement top shelf with the socket and plug for free, I will change my review based on this experience, I will update again as soon as I have the part.*Update
Part came in, works much better now, they've strengthened the pull chain and improved the design, I now love this lamp again. I had to hound the Adesso people to get my replacement part, but they did finally send it free of charge. I'm bumping it up 2 stars.

This lamp is perfect. The photo does it no justice. When you build this lamp make sure you read the directions good. When putting in the top part of the lamp make sure the smaller sticks are the ones on top or else you will have to take the lamp apart. I learned this the hard way because the beige cloth was too small for the top, then I realized the shorted sticks were in the middle. The light looks great in the corner of my room. Pros: Lamp is beautiful and lights the entire room (150W) with a soft glow. Shade doesn't get hot which will be nice this summer. Useful display shelves. Good assembly instructions. No damage during shipment, all the parts were there and delivered on time. Lamp has an Asian influence but goes well with my contempory/Scandinavian theme.Cons: Lamp is a little rickety but I expected that. Probably not a good choice if you have kids or big dogs. Wish the shade was bright white instead of off-white. Could have used it a couple of inches taller but I suppose that would have meant going to metal construction instead of wood.
All in all, it's pretty, unusual and utilitarian so I'm keeping it.

Bought two lamp shades and placed them on either side of my bed. They look nice, but if I brush up against them, they wobble quite a bit. I suppose it is to be expected that if you have something tall and narrow, it will be unsteady, but I wished they had placed more weight on the base. I may actually nail them onto larger wooden bases for stability, but they do get the job done. This is a very good looking light for the bathrooom, but it needs some reinforcement when hanging it. The back plate that is screwed to the wall with 6 screws is thin metal, but the glass shades and the rest of the fixture are heavy and on the first mount everything leaned forward. I disassembled it and used some Stanley 1-1/4" square furniture reinforcement plates at each of the wall mount screws. Large washers would also work. After that the fixture squared up nicely.
The packaging is poor. The first box delivered from Amazon had a shattered glass shade from something that penetrated the end of the box during shipping. Amazon had UPS pick it up the next day, but that was the last lamp Amazon had in stock, and a replacment would take 6 weeks. So cancelled the order (all online) and ordered from 1-Stop and it was here in two days. So not a big deal in the end due ti impressive handling by Amazon.

These lights are beautiful, but just not made that well. We ordered these 2 different times. The first time they showed up with a broken shade so we sent those back. The second time all looked well so we installed them in our bathroom only to find that one of the shades wasn't the right size so it wouldn't fit over where the light bulb screws in. Not only that, but it was pretty flimsy on the wall and the lights didn't hang very evenly. We ended up returning the second set as well and going with the Progress Lighting P2714-09 Gather Collection 6-Light Vanity Fixture. I installed this as an upgrade to the original guest bathroom fixture.The unit arrived intact with all parts listed in the instructions.
Installation was completed in about an hour, requiring special care while routing the cables and wire nuts within the horizontal tube support.
I did use much stouter wall anchors than those supplied with the unit. Given this unit's weight and balance, I would recommend getting the better anchors, rather than chance using the rather small, thin, cheap, and primitive anchors supplied.
Once installed, the unit vastly improved the available brightness in our bath; so much so that I installed a dimmer switch so it can be turned down if desired.

As another reviewer pointed out, my lamp arrived with its shade soaking in an oily substance that took some serious time to soak up with a lot of paper towels. The packaging is also very frustrating to remove and dispose of (low quality styrofoam that breaks easily and clings to everything around you in tiny particles that are a pain to collect and remove. After the lamp is assembled, the shade is a bit uneven, but I guess this is a byproduct (and proof) of the shade being hand made. Lastly, one of the tiny glass spheres from the shade was missing and nowhere to be found. Besides all of this hassle, the lamp does look very, very nice when lit and does not look cheap. Have your paper towels ready when you buy it. Hope this helps.

This lamp was perfect for my end table by the leather sofa. I bought this lamp for a newly finished basement which has no windows. Didn't want a fabric shade so this lamp was perfect. Was hoping that it let off more light than a colored stained-glass shade and it does definitely brighter than stained glass tiffany lamps. I just received my lamp today and I was removing the glass shade when I noticed my hands were covered in oil. My wife used to make stained glass pieces and said it looked like soldering flux. The entire shade was covered in this oily liquid and it was tedious, irritating, and messy to remove. I doubt they all leave the factory this way but still, buyer beware.Otherwise the lamp is just as pictured and has a subtle sophisticated appearance. The switch on the cord is about about 10" from the base so it's no trouble to turn on/off from my chair. The light it gives off is a pleasant glow and is adequate to read by. The overall quality is quite good for the price. It has a hefty weight to it and sits firmly balanced on my end table.
Aside from my poor initial experience, this lamp makes a nice focal point for our living room. For $60 I would recommend it.

I absolutely LOVE this lamp. I am SO glad I ordered it. The photo does not do it justice. This lamp is just stunningly beautiful. I did not realize there is some green glass in the bottom row of glass on the shade, which happens to suit my color scheme to a T, but thought I'd mention it in case someone wants white only. Again, the lamp is VERY beautiful. I put it on the end of my dresser, next to my jewelry armoire to light up my jewelry choices :) and it's absolutely perfect in every way. The packaging is, as an earlier review mentioned, that kind of Styrofoam that crumbles into tiny pieces and makes a mess, but I was cognizant of it and was sure to open it on the kitchen floor so it was easy to clean up. I have numerous colored glass tiffany style lamps and wanted something in that style but not so busy. This lamp is beautiful and intricate but has a neutral coloring which can be placed in any room. When I received the lamps and opened the box I was very upset. I didn't realize they were so small. I finally took them out of the box ,set them on the table and fell in love. I bought three of these Quoizel ML182AUL Melon Lights. Materials and workmanship are very good and all parts were present. However, assembling the parts into the fixture while installing them on the ceiling was a bit of a nightmare, as I did not have four hands or an assistant and could never figure out how to get one lockwasher to defy gravity and move into place. Be that as it may, once on the ceiling the lamps looked great. Metal finish, glass appearance, etc.--all very nice indeed.
Then a couple of months later I looked up and saw one of the glass shades was cracked from the center hole to the rim. No problem, I thought, as it is still under warranty. Well, not really. Quoizel did respond to my inquiry about a replacement shade, but charged me for it.
Why did the shade crack? My hypothesis is that a standard A19 light bulb is a very tight fit in these lights. So, I think the heat from the bulb in close proximity to the glass cracked the shade, even though the bulb was less than the maximum wattage. I've since substituted smaller, A15 bulbs to provide some clearance. I sure hope this stops the shades from cracking! By the way, nothing about using A15s was mentioned in the instructions.
In sum, for quality materials and appearance (when not cracked) I give these lamps 5 stars. For ease of assembly 2 stars. For Quoizel customer service 3 stars. Final rating 4 stars.
