I can't return this, because it was already installed on my outside wall... but it's NOT a frosted glob, you can see the spiral CFL right through the glass. the light is good looking, but has a motion sensor that cannot be turned off, so it's kind of useless as a normal outside light. Not happy with it, and will just replace it later.

This is a fun and well made lantern. I used 2 of them over the island in my kitchen and they add a lot of interest. They are relatively cheap cost-wise, but have the appearance of a quality light fixture.

The only problem was that 2 broke en-route and needed to be replaced (which Amazon took care of at no extra cost to me).

We converted some attic space into a bedroom, so with ceiling height at a premium, we were looking for smaller fans to fit the space. I'm happy to report that the width and depth (from ceiling) worked out perfectly, they're also very quiet when on.

I gotta say I didn't think Id write a review on such a nondescript item as a ceiling fan, but this one is a real gem. First of all it really is designed for a small room with a low ceiling. We had a converted our porch into a real room and we added the fan to its low ceiling in the hopes of keeping the room cool in out Arizona summers. Well right now I am enjoying the breeze as it keeps the rooms air constantly moving. The other great thing is the low mount (sold separately) in that there is no down pipe with it so it takes up less then a foot of space from the ceiling down. This was a great purchase for the application (small room, low ceiling) and Amazon was great as always.

We were told that 32 inch ceiling fans wouldn't move much air, but these two are perfect for the two rooms we've installed them in. They're quiet and really create a nice breeze. I don't know how they'd do in larger space, but in two 10 x 10 bedrooms they really perform well. Too bad the seller didn't ship the Low Ceiling Adapters on a timely basis with the fans they would have really helped the appearance in these low ceiling rooms.

I loved my first lamp I got from the Amazon.com site but love this one even more. It adds a beautiful touch to the new end table I have it on next to the couch. I bought this light to be the main source of light in my new bathroom. The new wall scones would provide the brighter light near the mirror. The Maxim light is diffused so it is not harsh for those times when you need to turn on the light when you use the bathroom in the middle of the night. You almost don't remember it's up there because it blends in with the ceiling. It was a good buy!

As another reviewer pointed out, my lamp arrived with its shade soaking in an oily substance that took some serious time to soak up with a lot of paper towels. The packaging is also very frustrating to remove and dispose of (low quality styrofoam that breaks easily and clings to everything around you in tiny particles that are a pain to collect and remove. After the lamp is assembled, the shade is a bit uneven, but I guess this is a byproduct (and proof) of the shade being hand made. Lastly, one of the tiny glass spheres from the shade was missing and nowhere to be found. Besides all of this hassle, the lamp does look very, very nice when lit and does not look cheap. Have your paper towels ready when you buy it. Hope this helps.

This lamp was perfect for my end table by the leather sofa. I bought this lamp for a newly finished basement which has no windows. Didn't want a fabric shade so this lamp was perfect. Was hoping that it let off more light than a colored stained-glass shade and it does definitely brighter than stained glass tiffany lamps. Nice solid base and the circled clear gems add a nice look when the light shines through. Would definitely recommend this lamp great price!

I just received my lamp today and I was removing the glass shade when I noticed my hands were covered in oil. My wife used to make stained glass pieces and said it looked like soldering flux. The entire shade was covered in this oily liquid and it was tedious, irritating, and messy to remove. I doubt they all leave the factory this way but still, buyer beware.

Otherwise the lamp is just as pictured and has a subtle sophisticated appearance. The switch on the cord is about about 10" from the base so it's no trouble to turn on/off from my chair. The light it gives off is a pleasant glow and is adequate to read by. The overall quality is quite good for the price. It has a hefty weight to it and sits firmly balanced on my end table.

Aside from my poor initial experience, this lamp makes a nice focal point for our living room. For $60 I would recommend it.

I absolutely LOVE this lamp. I am SO glad I ordered it. The photo does not do it justice. This lamp is just stunningly beautiful. I did not realize there is some green glass in the bottom row of glass on the shade, which happens to suit my color scheme to a T, but thought I'd mention it in case someone wants white only. Again, the lamp is VERY beautiful. I put it on the end of my dresser, next to my jewelry armoire to light up my jewelry choices :) and it's absolutely perfect in every way. The packaging is, as an earlier review mentioned, that kind of Styrofoam that crumbles into tiny pieces and makes a mess, but I was cognizant of it and was sure to open it on the kitchen floor so it was easy to clean up. I appreciated that the packaging kept the lamp very well protected and it arrived in stellar condition. The glass was completely clean, and assembly was very simple. I think it would be good if a better photo was used on the page. As said, the one they have does not do it justice. Love it.

I have numerous colored glass tiffany style lamps and wanted something in that style but not so busy. This lamp is beautiful and intricate but has a neutral coloring which can be placed in any room. I put it in a room with a lot of color and it makes a nice neutral focal point. It is well made, sturdy, and the light coming through the white and clear glass is stunning. I am very pleased and recommend this piece.

We needed track lights for a vaulted ceiling in our living room, and I decided to go with these after much research. I didn't want to pay a ton of money, and wanted real track lights vs. a light fixture. These are about 4 feet wide, and while the light heads are very small relative to other track lights I've seen, they are very bright and even one set can substantially light a room. I replaced the halogen bulbs with LED bulbs (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0094BDAHG/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_8) so that I'd never have to climb up a ladder and change the bulbs. These particular LED lights are dimmable. Our electrician installed the lights for us, and we purchased a Pro Track connector to join two 3-light kits together into a single, 6-light track and stretch it across our ceiling.

Pros:

Very bright

Compact these aren't huge and clunky, but they do pack a lot of punch from a lighting standpoint

Compatible with LED lights

Blend nicely into our white ceiling

Cons:

Almost too bright I'm worried these will be blinding when we're sitting under them trying to watch TV. These might be better for highlighting artwork against a wall than as a primary light source for a room.

Perhaps not as attractive as a light fixture.

This desk light is amazing.

The light have different temperatures fitting your eyes and most importantly very bright.

Also the 3 USB ports integrated onto the light works flawlessly.

I have my 2TB HDD, iPhone, and USB Thumbdrive connected to the lights to my MacBook Pro and had no problems what so ever.

The only con I would have with this light is the lack of spread.

My desk is pretty large (it can fit about 4x 23in monitors) and it can only spread about 1/2 to 2/3 of my desk.

But it is still bright. 1200 lumens is very powerful and enough for a desk work.

Now, on to the camera.

Dont expect a DSLR quality camera and that is pretty obvious.

But the camera is still full HD giving enough quality to scan papers, project objects/papers onto projectors, and even using them as a web cam.

It comes with a disk that has the program installed to use the scanner mode, photo shooting, and etc.

The unique feature is that it can record videos. Again, this is not a pro camera, recording at 1920x1080 60fps.

Still the images are clear, voices are clear, and I had no problems.

FInally, the main body.

With all these features packed, the light stand it very light.

And the arm and the light itself can be rotated and elevated.

This is a helpful feature for people who does tons of desk work and uses the camera for education.

(Remember those old overhead projectors used in school? Well, that should be replaced with THIS)

You can use the camera to show students what you are doing without leaving your desk!

I mentioned about the only con but if I mention a another, that would be lack of love Mac OS X.

The program installed onto the disk only can be used by Windows and any Mac webcam application (macam, etc) does not work.

Owned this product several months. This light is great for the price, definitely exceeded my expectations. I didn't buy this lamp to use the built in usb ports or the camera and it's still great. The lamp is good for big desks that need lighting over a large area. You can rotate the light section ~260 degrees along the axis of its length, letting you direct it to the left or right of the lamp, and also tilt the lamp to extend out further and lower. I usually operate it in the mode that has all its LED's going which provides the most neutral lighting experience. I am also happy that the lamp is quite bright. I don't usually use the highest brightness mode, and it's nice being able to crank it up if I need extra brightness. I would definitely recommend this product.

This is a great fan for this price. I particularly like it because it mounts directly to the ceiling with NO downrod at all. I had a hard time finding a true ceiling hugger at the home improvement stores. I'm an electrician and I've installed plenty of fans. This one is solid. One thing however the color is a little more dark brown than the picture makes it seem. Which didn't matter to me, but my Wife was kind of bummed.

I love this fan. It looks wonderful mounted on celing. It was easy to install and perfect for low ceilings. I have seen no difference in air flow between my old regular fan and this low profile fan. I would recommend this to anyone. The fan is "as decribed" 2 colors on fan blades and both were nice...once I saw them, I had trouble chosing which color I prefered. I does not include a light,but this is what I wanted for the low ceiling. You can purchase a light seperatly and I have seen some really nice brushed metal lights for little money. When I need my next fan, I will purchase this one...if it is still available. Enjoy! Any questions, then please ask and maybe I can answer. Ordered this for my dad for Christmas. It's really classy looking so it was easily assimilated into my parents' living room without looking tacky like memorabilia items sometimes can. We've had no problems so far and my dad loves the three different light settings. It was easily assembled -I did so on Christmas Eve and left it plugged in on the table so he could wake up to it. Overall a huge success and I recommend this for any diehard Star Trek fan. Thankfully, it's of the members of the original series which makes it even better! I'm only worried that the touch aspect is going to go after the one year warranty is up. But that remains to be seen.

This light itself is good quality, and OK, but 2 of the 3 "included blubs" burnt out in 1 week. (I did not touch the bulb glass as per instructions). Replacements are $9.50 each. The quality repleacements are also brighter for same wattage, so the thing looks funny. They should charge less and you get your own quality bulbs. I would avoid halogen due to the high bulb cost and high heat. Also, the pictures suggested the fixture can point down as well as up, but in reality it can only point up due to the halogen design. They should make this clear since you may not want it to point up.

Love these lights in our master bathroom. They look great and provide plenty of light. They only install upwards though, so don't plan on pointing them down. At least that's what the installer said. Great lights though.

I recently purchased two of these in chrome to place above two separate master bath vanities. At first I mounted them up but the light was not enough for a vanity since the light was so far up on the wall away from the mirror and not adequate lighting for looking at oneself in the mirror in a master bath. I placed them where other fixtures had been and they were at normal height, not too low or too high. So, I changed them to point downward and was much happier. I read elsewhere that these are called downlights and they can be mounted downward (as pictured) since the outer glass screws in place and won't fall off. The inner glass shields that shield the halogen bulbs from dust were not used by me when pointing downward since I did not trust the one small clip and did not think dust was a problem when pointing downward though they are definitely necessary when halogen lamps are pointed up to keep them free from dust. You cannot touch the bulbs with your hands directly (other than at the base) or you should wipe off immediately to extend their lifespan. So, far at one week later, they are still shining nicely. 75 watts is enough light, though I had other fixtures prior with 100 watt bulbs, also halogen. I did notice that the new bulbs are not as bright. I had other bulbs in the house that were 75 watts and used them up before using only two of the bulbs that came with the fixture. I agree they are a little dimmer as someone else wrote but not very noticeably. My husband doesn't mind, so he will be using them on his vanity, though I prefer the brighter bulbs.

The look is clean, and I wanted something to match my faucets with rounded bar (not squared off) and a round/circle at the wall. The look is clean and the lamp is well made, heavy, and not a disappointment. I did notice that one lamp looked a little crooked on each fixture but with a slight tug (up or down), they straightened on the bar to line up with the others. The price on this fixture can't be beaten. I have seen similar fixtures for double to quadruple the price and many times they were shorter. This 22" is perfect for over my sinks. Thanks Amazon.

UPDATE: The bulbs are all still working great weeks later.

I was very happy with the quality of the this fixture. We had no problems with the halogen bulbs burning out, and this has been installed for two months now. We have the sconces pointed up, I suppose if you had it mounted sconces down in a bathroom, steam could affect it. Anyway, it is a beautiful fixture and was perfect for our modern-style remodel in our bathroom. Couldn't beat the price here on Amazon, which was alot cheaper than Lowes (special order there too)! We love this light!

Before buying this lamp definitely take note of the measurements. I bought it for my nightstand and it is a little small. The first lamp I received had permanent creases in the shade and a scratch on the lamp due to poor packaging. I was able to ship it back for free and receive a new lamp that was packaged better. If I had to do things over again I would have purchased a lamp from HomeGoods instead. You can buy a nice nightstand size lamp there for $30-$40. The shade, which is where they obviously cut corners, seems a little too big in proportion to the size of the lamp. The lamp and shade are different shades of white which also looks a bit odd. I also hate the fact that the shade is held in place by the light bulb instead of having a harp and finial. As a result it is not very secure and will move around when turning the light on and off. If I had seen this lamp in person I wouldn't have paid more than $20 for it. Overall a cute lamp, if you are willing to spend more money to replace the shade.

I really like these lamps. They take a 60 watt bulb. There is no dimming, but it's not a problem. The quality is very nice. They're small great for the bedside. I was surprised that I could see the light bulb when I'm standing next to the Bedside table. Because of the lamp shade shape it's real easy to look right down into it and see the bulb. I opted for flame shaped 60 watt bulbs, b/c their more attractive when you see them...

The lamp shades were stacked in the box they came in. They must have been pushed very tightly together during shipping. The bottom one had a scalloped crease all the way around the bottom edge. I emailed 43rd Street Lighting and they replied right away. They immediately sent a replacement lamp shade, and they didn't ask me to send the damaged one back which was really nice for me. It's a pain to have to bother with that.
