The first thing I wanted to know was the brightness of the Coleman light. Comparisons between lumens and candle power are impossible because lumens and candle power are not the same. So here is my own test of three lights: 1. Maglight using 4 D cells; 2. The featured Coleman LED spotlight; 3. a 12v halogen spotlight rated at 1,000,000 candle power. The lights were measured at 10 feet using a light meter that measures in candle power. Bear in mind that candle measurements are only of a given spot, whereas lumens measure all the light output of a device including the spot area and the flood area combined. These are the candle power measurements of both the spot and flood areas of the lights tested:

1. Flashlight: spot 50-; flood area .4

2. Coleman LED: spot 400+; flood area 6.5+

3. Halogen: spot 1600+; flood area 6.5-

The halogen spot area is four times brighter and twice the diameter of the Coleman, but the Coleman's flood area is slightly brighter. The halogen has a much shorter burn time, is hot and has twice the lens diameter. The Coleman puts out an evenly lit spot and flood pattern which is quite adequate. It's 2.5 hour burn time makes it more practical than the halogen, but it does not have the power of a halogen. It's good to have both types available.

I originally saw this at a Bass Pro Shop and was amazed at the brightness and distance the light traveled. It was $69.99 there, I got it for $54.00 from Amazon(huge deal!). I researched quite a lot of rechargeable spotlights before getting this one. And narrowed it down to 4(See here:

The long lasting battery of the LED lights was a huge selling point over the Halogen and HID ones. And this had over double the lumen rating(240 vs 530)compared to the Cyclops CYC-9WS LED Spotlight(The #1 Rechargeable Flashlight at the time of this review) so thats what ultimately made me get this one. I'm not sure why no one has reviewed this baby on Amazon yet. I assume it's because Amazon doesn't keep enough in stock for people to buy.(I got the last one in stock btw). I read alot of reviews on this spotlight. I found everyone has a different idea of "how bright is bright" and how far is 100 yds. I have had 10,2,and 1 million candle power Spotlights. They all had the battery life of matches...

I live on a farm with a pond ,a true 100 yds from my house. This spotight has a white light, and is good for 100 yd minimum, with a large area of light.

It is similar to the 1 milliom candle spotlight in brightness.. The battery life is wonderful. I would have bought a brighter LED spotlight if I could have found the one.

The color , brightness of light ,length of charge plus the price = GOOD BUY

You should be pleased.

NOTE: I charged in 3)16 hr. cycles,as directed.

The brightness increased with each cycle. Don't get disappointed like I did with the first showing..It gets better

I bought this spotlight specifically for night geocaching (a variant that involves following a trail of reflective fire tacks leading to a geocache container hidden in the woods). This game must be done after dark using a flashlight or headlamp, but the brighter the light, the easier it is to see the fire tacks. I specifically wanted a rechargeable spotlight that had LEDs instead of an incandescent bulb. I selected the Coleman because it had good reviews, and I have not been disappointed thus far. It is not as bright as the 3 million candlepower incandescent spotlights a couple of other local geocachers use, but the battery lasts much longer (mine is still going strong after 3 hours of intermittent use.) The only negative comment I have is that it is heavy, but that is not unusual for a spotlight.

Has an AC and DC charger which is great. Light is very bright. Charge last me for a whole night of catfishing without dimming. I like the lock feature so the light stays on without having to press the trigger. Worth the money.

These are really attractive, good quality lamps for the price. I bought two of them, and they look great in my living room. The lamp has a sturdy footprint and a stable center of gravity, which is a must with my 5 kids constantly rough-housing...less likely to topple if it gets bumped. The color is more of a dark brown than bronze as described, but that's not a bad thing. The lamp shades are lined, not cheap looking at all. And the lamps came packed with a nice little compact energy efficient 60-watt bulb. I'm happy with this purchase.

I really love the style of the lamp. It has a oriental flavor to it, but you could put it with any style and be happy. The size is small, but I usually put books or something under a lamp to increase in height. I don't see much silver on it, but the bronze is a beautiful color.

I purchased this sconce to go with the other fixtures (same style and brand) that I purchased from Amazon. The fixtures themselves are relativiley small compared to other vanity lights I've seen. However, because they use special bulbs (not your average screw-in type) they let off a lot of light and heat. PHILIPS EnduraLED 18W PAR38 Dimmable LED Spot Light Bulb Review

I am attempting to replace power-hungry halogen floods in my studio. The one drawback is that LED light is very directional and feels colder than halogen. If you are a painter this can be a problem if you like to work at night.

I have tried a 24 watt Eco bulb that has little diffusion, and frankly, the light looked to me about as bright as this, since more light washes the area. I have added theatrical color correction gels to the glass, and it looks great. I have Rosco un 1/4 CTO 20X24 Amber Rosco RS340911 on there now, and have ordered the next step lighter (Rosco Cinegel Roscosun 1/8 CTO, 20x24" Color Correction Lighting Filter). Both of these are available on Amazon for a few dollars.

In color testing, the Rosco un 1/4 CTO appears the closest in color to halogen. But now that I'm sitting in it, perhaps it is a tad more yellow? Not sure. I have been reading that the two kinds of light are quite different, and so smaller color corrections be down to personal preference. One difference may be that the halogens I'm using to test on one track against the LEDs on another pointed in different directions (being on either side of a collar tie). If LED light were bouncing off the white walls as the halogens do, there might be even less difference. Will have to see.

But honestly, the color and intensity of light is so good that I am pretty sure I will be replacing my entire studio with LED floods. Now I'm messing with very small differences in light color.

The spots had more beam spread than expected. This resulted in less illumination of the target than was desired. It did not cause the lamp to be unusable, but is not as easy on the eyes since the target is not as bright as needed. I did like the color and the fact that LEDs are supposed to last a long time. This was an attempt to get away from incandescent lamps for the application and the effort was not successful. Found a good alternate use, though....

So far so good! Looks just as described, very pleased. My only suggestion is for you NOT to screw the bulbs in to tight. My problems with past fixtures is when unscrewing them, the whole thing comes loose over time making it impossible to put another bulb in because the whole thing spins My electrician said to only screw bulbs in slightly until they light up, NEVER to tight, it makes them harder to get out and eventually they break. Just wanted to pass that suggestion on to everyone. Companies aren't making fixtures as high quality as they use to. I would recommend this fixture.

This lantern was securely packed, comes with mounting brackets and hardware, and clear instructions. It is well designed and a very attractive product. Because I have many large trees, it was not possible to give it 100% sunlight, but it is working to my satisfaction.

I did a lot of searching for a set of solar pillar lights to go at the end of our driveway. We have pillars but were waiting to run power to them until we evaluated the solar options. After reviewing these and reading through the comments, they seemed like they would fit the bill so I bought two of them.

Assembly and installation were a breeze. We have a 3" coupling on top of the pillars and these fit perfectly. From unboxing to mounting took less than 15 minutes. It was that easy.

The material is pretty good and the painted finish isn't bad. It doesn't look great up close but is certainly fine for this type of installation. I added some customer pictures so you can see what they look like.

Per the instructions I let them charge for 2 days before turning them on. I will mention that the on off switch is located inside the light compartment which means you will have to take the top off of it to get to the switch. Kind of a pain but not a show stopper.

After the second day of charging we were very excited to see what they could do. We switched them on and waited. The photocell worked great and at dusk they started to light. Once darkness had completely fallen I went out to have a look. Unfortunately the light output was very disappointing. A dull glow is all they provided on the driveway.

We have some trees around the pillars which limits some of the late afternoon sun but they get direct sunlight from sunrise until probably 2pm in the afternoon. Unfortunately this may not be enough to fully charge them.

We had a partly cloudy day the next day and the results were even worse. The light barely reached the driveway and after only a couple of hours of darkness they had nearly extinguished completely.

Needless to say we will moving to electric in the future. If you are looking for a fairly nice decorative lamp at a low price these will fit the bill. By the way, the price on these is much lower than some of the other options I looked at which made them a good option to try out. However, if you are looking for any decent light or security which is what we were more interested in, these lights just don't stand up.

As I mentioned, the trees in our front yard may limit the direct sunlight somewhat so if you have open skies above them, they may work much better.

The color was a little darker than I expected and not as glossy, although when the lamp is on it appears much more like the picture...but still darker, and more light blue than turquoise. The shades (I ordered 2) are a tad bit dented, but I just rotated the dented areas to the wall. I think the price is a little steep, but the style and color are perfect for my bedroom, so it was worth it for me. They are lovely little lamps...my husband likes them as well.

I purchased 2 of these lamps. I love them! One thing wrong about them is they chip very easily, one of mine came chipped and when the Orange paint chips it's white underneath and looks tacky. I have had these lamps on either side of my bed with matching Orange pillows. I loved them! I don't have these any longer as my "modern" phase was overlooked by my always love for rustic/moose/bear etc. theme. But these are great lamps!

I had originally ordered one of these lamps from a major retailer. It was a little pricey, but it was perfect for my daughter's room. When it arrived, my daughter loved it, so naturally we decided she needed a 2nd one. The problem was that the major retailer had no more stock! This was a replacement for a dead nutone fixture that had long ceased functioning. It took a little more electrical wiring to mount in the same spot in bath as old fixture but is now in place thanks to my handy (if slow) husband. The fixture is more copper than bronze but that is something that I can live with. The bulb will be much easier to replace when burned out than in our old fan/light and although not as quiet as some, it's not overly loud either. A much better option if you want something other than white plastic.

The light worked very well and I liked the design for my bathroom BUT there was a problem with the vent fan. When you turned it on, you could hear that something was ON but it took 10 minutes for the actual fan to start venting. The electrician said it needed to be replaced. Thanks to Amazon for sending a replacement so quickly........I am expecting to have a unit that works correctly!!!!!!!
