Thought I might mention that this is probably the best security light in solar available a bit pricey but well worth it. I've had mine three years with excellent results so far. The panel needs to be up on the roof preferably directly at high noontime sun and there is plenty of wire to do this, I used small cable tacks to secure to roof. In the Northwest you may get less light and for shorter periods of time but when it is faced directly toward sun, especially during summer with high noontime sun, it will work for over 15 days on one charge. I have three of them for a rental house and now will purchase three more for my new house. The best light to use for intruders especially if you can mount under an eave and shine directly into an unsuspected passerby's face, they will leave mmediately. The motion sensor works up to 75' that was the measure to my driveway from corner of house and it would come on when someone approached my house. Be sure to charge as per the directions the first time to get the full benefit from the battery.

There are lots of solar powered lights, but most of those have puny LEDs which provide very little light. This one has a real light bulb and provides a good amount of light. It's not a 150-watt bulb, but it really lights up my driveway. It has a hefty battery as well, so it takes longer to charge, but if you want a more power out, you need to provide more power in. I have only two complaints one is that the light is fairly tightly focused I would have preferred it spread out over a bigger area (but then it would have appeared dimmer). The other is that it doesn't stay on long enough once motion stops or you walk out of the sensor's area. But those are both minor items. I love mine, and have given out two others as gifts.

The solar panel that came with this light needs three days of bright, noon-time sun to charge! Another solar light I use -one I bought elsewhere -will charge from the light of a lightbulb! So, as it's winter, wet and foggy, it may be months before this light is charged enough to use it! I do wish the product description and included this vital detail -I wouldn't have bought it.

This worked great until the battery died after 1 year. I gave up searching for a replacement online. I would have called Heath/Zenith about a replacement but they only answer phones during business hours. Instead, I bought replaced it with Motion-Activated 14 LED Security Floodlight for a lot less money. It uses LED lights for much lower power consumption and has easy-to-replace AA batteries. That's what I recommend buying if you're thinking about this one.

Not worth it, cheap system failed only after a few months, what happens is the cheap battery goes bad and you have to keep replacing it, was hoping to maybe upgrade the battery can't seem to find any in this dimensions 5.25inch in Lenght 2 inches in width and 3 inches high.

Don't buy will be useless in a few months.

For Solar Lights they pretty bright but not super bright.

The light is mostly white with a slight tint of blue (Most LEDs are like this).

The light goes out about 10 feet on a pitch dark night.

In sunny CA the lights last at max lumes for about 6 hours & then slowly gets dimmer but it lasts all night.

Too bad the cosmetic designs are limited.

More base options would be better too as the six sided design does not match most posts.

I ordered two Gamma Sonic GS-94P solar lights from Amazon, received them 2 days later. Within a week I had built them onto the capstones of two columns of the stone wall I was building. They work perfectly-are bright, shine all night, even when the preceding day was mostly dark and overcast. I'm planning to buy at least one more, to be placed at the entrance of our driveway...as soon as I get the wall that far!

Looks great, easy to install but does not stay on all night if it does not get full sunlight during day. So if it's been raining, don't expect the light to turn on. I live in Florida and the light turn on around 7 and is off by 12 .

The lamps (I bought a pair) worked fine for maybe 18 months, bright enough to show the driveway entrance, but the NiMH 4.8V battery pack didn't make it to the 3 years as claimed. I can deal with that, but to make the problem worse, no one (I searched the internet) has replacement batteries for it. There are 4 cell packs available with similar, or better specs, but it doesn't look like the connectors will match. I was hoping not to have yet another disposable solar light product, but it's looking like that's what's happening.

Note that the company now makes this model with Li-Ion batteries (not compatible of course with the older model). I hope the new one works better...

Review of Set of 4: "Paradise" LED Low Voltage Traditional Path / Walk Way

My search started with solar Powered lights. After reading reviews, I concluded that majority of customers are not happy with charging issues etc. So I drop the idea of Solar Powered and narrowed down my search to GL22788BK for wired lights category. I read commentes that people replaced LED bulb in GL22788BK. I asked question myself why does not "Paradise" make LED lights. I looked into their website and found GL33869BK with LED light bulb. I ordered 16 LED lights (GL33869BK) for my project and happy with purchase.

PROS:

Light is bright; no one can tell difference if it is LED light or regular bulb when light is lit in night

Color temperature is 3000K (soft yellowish). I was afraid that LED means white light only.

Light post and Light ceiling cover is made of Cast Aluminium means durable

very easy to assemble and no need to peel or cut the wire while connecting to main feeding circuit. It has snap on connector. Just snap anywhere to main low voltage landscaping wire. This is like a charm.

it consumes 0.75 Watt. That means huge saving in electricity.

CONS

Light cover is made of plastic. it could have been made of glass. But it is OK for me.

Part of the Light that goes into underground is made of plastic. Not sure why manfuacturers decided to choose plastic.

In rain, it is water-tight. However grass sprinkler sits at low height in comparioson to light and throws water from bottom to top. In that case, there are chances that water can go inside the light if light is too close to Sprinkler. I found a solution. I wrapped the top portion of plastic lens with food wrap plastic and then put the light cover to make it water tight.

Overall I am happy with purchase. Lights are really beautiful, easy to install, consumes little energy (0.75W). Last but not least I purchased the Power pack GL22730 and cable GL22132 to complete my project.

I ordered this for our bedroom remodel. As with all ceiling fans I had to install a stronger brace to support the weight.Pass & Seymour 22200 Retrofit Reiker Fan Brace with 25-Cubic-Inch Electrical Box The included bracket comes with a loop and the top of the fan motor has a hook. so the fan can be wired without constantly supporting it with your third hand. That sure makes for a quick install. I ended up getting a Hunter remote/module with it so I can turn the light off from bed. Hunter 27148 Fan/Light Remote Control It is nice in the summer when you go to bed hot but get cold around 3 AM. just hit the button and it shuts off. The fan runs quietly and has no wobble. I really like the oak colored blades. They go with the rest of the furniture. It does come with the tiny light bulbs. I would rather have the full sized bulbs. Beyond that we really like the fan.

Hunter 20182 52 Inch Studio Series Ceiling Fan Antique Brass with Walnut/Medium Oak BladesI purchased this fan as the price was right, it had the light kit we wanted and because it was a Hunter. I've had positive experiences in the past with Hunter fans so I wasn't hesitant to purchase another.

HOWEVER, the fan was a horror to assemble and install. There were so many pieces and terrible instructions!

The wiring was like a rat's nest and had two wires that were out of the assembly fitting.

My husband was an electrician for 40 years and he had to repair the wiring before the fan could be installed. A laymen would not have been able to hang this. He said if his forman in NYC ever received this shoddy product, he would have sent it back immediately.

We did eventually get it to work and the fan is quiet and steady but the electrical assembly was awful.

Although these fans are a bit pricy, they are high quality, reliable and well worth your purchase. I have purchased three of these for my current home after owning Hunter brand fans in my previous home that were going strong after 10 years with no issues. These fans are quiet, operate smoothly and installing isn't that difficult as long as you follow the instructions. These fans will provide a long time of use and Hunter stands behind their fans as well with their warranty.

The studio series are a good deal at 120 here as compared to the box stores.

Hunter....the ONLY fans to buy. This one replaced an old, old Hunter

fan that was still running but we needed a larger one in that room

now used as an office instead of a bedroom. This fan is not only VERY

pretty...but the wood slats are finished with light or dark sides so

you have your choice which shows. The brass finish is beautiful...and

the light fixtures are pretty too. The chain on this fan is unique and

has several speeds. I can't say enough about Hunter fans...they are all

we have in our home and the one we took down we donated. It was 15 yrs

old and still running fine! Thank you Amazon for carrying Hunter, as

they are exchanged without any problems at all. If it breaks, Hunter will

stand behind a replacement.
