Just unpacked and assembled -with no tools, no cussing, and over the course of no more than seven to ten minutes -this magnificent table lamp. It's astonishing lovely. The shade is bright and luminous (though certainly not garish), which means that our living room, and not just that dim corner, will be pleasantly illuminated. Best of all, people will see this lamp and conclude that we are persons of refinement and good taste -something that the rest of our furniture may have led them to doubt. ;)

I am very disappointed in this lamp. The shade looks like something you would find at a discount store. It is described as glass with copper foil leading. In actuality, the 'glass' appears to be plastic with some messy plastic joining compound that is very unevenly applied around irregularly cut pieces one of which is cracked. As a craftsperson who has made many copper foiled stained glass windows, I find the quality of this lamp completely unacceptable and I will be returning it.

I have owned a pair of beautiful quality Quoizel lamps for over 15 years. They were well made in the true Tiffany copper foil style. The lamps that I just received are the total opposite. They are made with plastic, not glass and they have some kind of black "substance" holding the pieces together. In addition, I ordered a pair and received lamps that don't match. One is darker than the other. One is taller than the other because the rods connecting the shade to the base are of two different lengths. In addition, the lighter colored lamp leans like "The leaning tower of Pisa". Its amazing that a company like Quoizel has downgraded the quality of their product to such an extent.

Actually, from reading reviews about lamps from other companies I see that many of them are also selling Chinese junk. At least I only paid $55. per lamp, so I didn't expect top notch quality, but I fully expected them to match.

I used 25 watt fluorescents to be sure the plastic "glass" doesn't melt and used some washers to make the height difference less apparent. Still wondering what to do to even the color difference.

I guess you get what you pay for, but if I had seen these lamps "in person" I would have bought something else.

There are four people that gave this lamp a five star review. They must have been luckier than me! Maybe it is because at 8 or 10 feet away the lamps are kind of cute. The design is pretty if you don't come too close!

It's great when a product exceeds expectations!

I bought this mainly for the work-of-art shade, thinking I might put the shade on a different lamp base. Now that I see the lamp, it's great as-is. I bought this for a three-season porch, but I think I ought to find a spot for it inside to use all year.

I read ALL of the available reviews on this style of lamp before purchasing.

They either loved it or hated it. I hoped for the best! Received it with a week. The directions were VERY basic. It will look like some of the parts are missing (screws & bolts) when in fact they are already attached to other components. The only issue I had was that the wrench (that was supposed to be included) was not in the box. This made it a little challenging for me. Looks and works great!

We had purchased a similar lamp from another vendor, but it was poorly packaged and arrived as a wreck. We returned it with no problems, and ordered this lamp. The lamp arrived quickly very securely packaged. As another reviewer wrote, the small parts are all connected and have to be removed then replaced when the lamp is assembled. However, the assembly is fast and easy. The lamp has a variable dimmer. It uses candelabra base bulbs. If you have high ceilings and need a lot of light, this is a good way to go.

The packaging was terrible, the base won`t connect to the main light pole because the threaded piece in the light pole was either welded in backwards or way to far up the pole because the threaded piece won`t go through the base to allow the nut to attach it. It is at least three quarter of an inch to short. I will have to go to the hardware store and buy a bolt to make it work, if I can find the right thread. I would send it back but the packaging fell apart during shipping. Also there is some sort of white stuff on the base that should not be there.

I purchased this item largely due to the photograph which shows a base that appeared as though it would mostly fit under my couch...the lamp I received had a different style base entirely and does not fit under the couch. But before making that discovery, probably should have seen some writing on the wall...for the shipping price I paid, would have expected it to be hand delivered in a gold crate, instead the box that showed up on my doorstep after a week was clearly a hybrid of several boxes that had been inelegantly taped together, and upon fighting to open the box, I discovered that 1 of the 5 included light bulbs had shattered inside it's individual bubble wrap. Within minutes of completing the setup, 1 of the 5 "arms" snapped clean off the base and crashed to the floor not repairable but at least now I don't need all 5 bulbs anyway.

At the end of the day...I don't plan on trying to return it, largely because I mangled the packaging to get it out and don't have a box to send it back in, and any guests in my home who didn't know it had 5 arms originally will probably never know, looks OK with the 4 and a piece of electrical tape. Also don't have high hopes that a replacement of the same product would be a different experience. I'm pretty much crossing my fingers that it lasts about a year at which point it will be replaced with a higher quality product. It does look nice once assembled and I like the dimmer function. Terrible design for assembly and worse packaging.

We were looking for lamps to put on the back of our house that look modern yet have a retro feel, from that requirement they are very handsome lamps. However, the main problem that we have with them is that the space for the bulb is too small. We were trying to get as much light out of them as we could, but only smaller bulbs fit which meant less lumen output. So if you are looking for a good looking sconce lamp that doesn't need to light up more than a few feet, I would highly recommend it. Otherwise, get a flood light.

We have these on a timer with compact florescent bulbs. These were actually a compromise--we had ordered something else first that turned out to be too big. I thought they were okay when I ordered them, but now that they are up, I really like them. We have five spaced our around the pool. They look great en masse like that, and I feel good knowing they are wet rated. It's bizarre how many "outdoor" lights are rated for damp but not wet locations. These have only been up a couple of months, but they are working fine. Very clean and modern look. The main frame is a little plastic looking--not high end fixtures, for sure, but they look good around the pool nonetheless. I don't think I would put one on my front porch, as I would want something a little more substantial-looking for the entryway.

I purchased this to replace a very similar fixture by Nikko. I had broken the lens while replacing the bulb and another distributor for Nikko quoted $55 to replace it. Therefore I purchased this and got a whole new fixture. Well the glass lens itself was an exact match for the Nikko. I have to warn you that these fixtures require that you remove 4 screws and take off the cover and glass to replace the bulb. I have already broken one. I have two out front and did not want to change the fixture, but there must be many fixtures where you can change the bulb without disassembly.

I ordered this flashlight for my dad and it just arrived. It features a newer technology battery, NiMH, over the older style Ni-Cad. I have 4 Mag-chargers now and love the durability. I thought I was purchasing the complete system when I read it runs off AC as well as DC. The description says it includes the DC adapter or power cord. This is true. What it doesn't say is it DOESN'T include the AC adapter. I guess that is what got the price down, but it would have been nice if it spelled this out. I have two extra AC adapters & charging cradles, so this isn't a problem, but not everyone will be in this position. So if you want to be able to charge it at home or at the office, keep looking. Oh yes, one more thing. I spent many years in retail and this flashlight and charger have been out of the package. Don't know if it was a return, refurbished, or what. So the price was good, shipping was free, but the accessory description was not clear and it may or may not actually be "new".

Well, the light is up and looks pretty good. You need a lot of patience and a little force to get this together. There is not enough space between the screw hole on the plate and post for the edge of the plate. If you happen to get the screws started, they will not tighten all the way or the plates will not lay flat. Looks ok for now, but will be replacing next spring I'm sure. This is the first less than pefect review I have written for anything.

I love this fixture, you will love it too. If you really love this, you're probably like me, pay attention to the littlest details and once I mounted it, the lights weren't straight, they kind of tilt. But regardless, very nice light. The only thing is, the middle bolt doesn't screw on tightly to the base so I had to goto home depot and put a washer there.

Cowboy Table Lamp I was very pleased with this product. It was a gift for my 4 month old grandson and fit nicely into the decor of his room. The shade was well made and the base was well balanced. I liked the fact that when ordering, I had a choice of different designs on both the lamp base and shade. On a side note, my two older grandchildren and I had a blast playing with the packing material. They enjoyed being "buried" in the peanuts from the shipping packages.
