I've bought a couple of these now. These are great for adding accent lighting, and a lot of fun. The lighting unit itself is pretty small, so easy to hide in a corner. I placed two in opposite directions on two kitchen shelves and they add a nice glow and ambience, especially when set to different colors. There are a lot of color variations, there's no buzzing, and they stay cool to the touch. The remote works well, but the interface for switching to color cycling is a bit odd (you'll probably need the instructions to figure that out). Definitely happy with the purchase, and the price seems fair.

I wanted a lamp for my infant's room that was adjustable, and this fits the job perfectly. If you have kids you'll know that when they are very young and sleeping in a crib that you sometimes want LOW light, enough so you can see, but low enough so you don't wake them up too much when giving them back their pacifier, changing a diaper, etc. I have one of the memory buttons on this set to a very low dark red, which works perfectly in the middle of the night to not kill my night vision. During the day, you can set it to something brighter, I usually use a light blue. Having the remote is nice so you can place it out of the way but still control it from anywhere.

For those not clear on what you can adjust, here is what you can do... obviously, roll the wheel around to adjust the colors. You can also adjust the color saturation, from a deep color to white light. You can also adjust the brightness, from very dim to moderately bright. It's not something I'd want as a main light for a big room, but for smaller rooms if you don't need a ton of light, it illuminates them pretty well when bounced off a wall.

There are also two memory buttons you can preset. And you can also roll the wheel and click to get it to enter a mode where it smoothly cycles through all the colors, kind of like some party mode, it's a neat extra feature.

Overall I'm very pleased with this product and bought it despite some older reviews claiming theirs broke. I've been using this for over a month and no problems yet, hopefully it continues to work well for a long time!
