I have being using these lamps since I built my home 11 years ago. I live really close from the sea, so they last about 2 years, but I like them so much, that I keep buying them. Just pay attention before buying because they come exactly the same but in different sizes. That happened to me once. Mine are large and did not pay attention to that, so I ordered and when they arrived...they were the small ones. Anyhow I found a place for them. Crystal brake easy and one day one of the 2 ordered arrived broken, so I had to glue it with 2 parts epoxy that works perfect. I recommend to re-paint once a year if you live near the ocean. If not, every two, to make them look like new again.

This light is well worth the money compared to other lights. The selling point for me was the strobe feature. Also, if 200 lumen is not bright enough for you, then you need a large search light. It is extremely bright. The three features (High, low, strobe) work very well and effectively with light pressure for instant release, or click on to stay on. I mounted this to my AR with an Elzetta forward site mount. It works very well, and after looking at a large variety of lights for a few weeks, this was my final choice. In comparing this to the Surefire lights, it is every bit as good for less money. I cannot attest to how long the battery lasts yet. I will recommend this to my friends, and would buy it again.

Bought this because I already owned a TL-1 which I found perfect for my uses. The description of this sounded close to what I already had, so bought it. Strobe feature almost worthless as in a tense situation no one would remember how to initiate it. Just give me this size light with two functions on or momentary and I'd be happy.

Entire light is well made. Love the pocket clip and switch. I carry it most for walking dogs at night just in case needed. A brighter light probably not needed for civilian use and would just use batteries quicker.

This desk lamp is just beautiful and stylish while also having multiple features that most desk lamps don't have. It has four lighting modes for reading, studying, relaxation and bedtime each having a different brightness level and color frequency of the emitted light. It is energy efficient drawing 7.1 watts per my testing and it is about as bright as a 50 watt halogen bulb in my other desk lamps.

It features multiple adjustment positions to help provide the best positions to suit your needs. It also has a built in USB charging port for your smart phone or tablet. The LED lights have an expected life span of 45,000 hours or about 5.13 years if left on continuously. By using it in the evenings only you could expect about 15 years of life out of the LEDs. Think of the money you will save on light bulbs and electricity over the lifetime of this light. What I like is that the lamp does not produce the dangerous heat of a halogen desk lamp nor does it use glass in its construction or require replacement of the bulbs.

The lamp draws 7.1 watts on the brightest setting but actually uses 12.9 VA with a Power Factor of 0.55. This means the current is shifted out of phase with the voltage and it draws a little more current. Fortunately most power companies charge you for watts and not VA. My halogen bulb desk lamp uses 53.6 watts at a Power Factor of .99 but it obviously uses 7.5 times more watts than the LED lamp. The light output is higher but think of the difference in power consumption and the high heat of the halogen lamp bulb and the lamp hood. You can actually severely burn yourself on the halogen lamp hood.

With the LED light bar level to the surface of the desk it is 18 inches above the desk and it is high enough to reach once the top of one of my HP 23 inch diagonal monitors to provide light onto your working and typing area. There is also a 60 minute timer on the lamp that lets you set it to go off in one hour. This makes it a great lamp to use while reading in bed and you don't want to fall asleep with a light on. (This was my original plan for the lamp) There is a plus and minus adjustment on each light setting that lets you customize the lights brightness to your personal satisfaction.

This lamp is stylish and attractive and I like that it can output different levels of brightness of light and at different color frequencies. I was going to use the lamp on the headboard of our bookcase bed as a reading light but the lamp was so nice my wife took it from me and it is on her computer desk. This is an excellent product and I rate it at 5 stars and I recommend it to you.

This lamp has all of the features that I look for in a good desk lamp and some that I'd never thought of. First of all, I love the sleek look and the way it adjusts to so many different positions. You can fold the shade part down against the main arm, so it stands up and down in a straight line when you're not using it. There is also a jointed part just above the touch controls near the base where you can tilt it forward, so you have a lot of options for lighting a large area of your desk. The base is heavy enough that I don't worry about one of the cats knocking it over and if you remove it by unscrewing it from the rest of the lamp it can be stored in a small amount of space. It would be great for use in a student dorm or in an office where it might be moved often.

There are actually 27 small LED lights in this lamp. They are lit in different combinations to produce a wide variety of different lighting. One, marked "Reading" is a bright, daylight type of light that I would describe as cool. This is great for working or reading small print where you need an intense light. The next is one called "Study" which is a little different tone, not quite as intense, but still pretty bright and a little different color tone. Next there is a "Relax" light which is a warmer toned light that looks similar to an incandescent bulb, one you might leave on for regular ambient lighting or doing things where you don't need a strong light. The next is called "Sleep" which is more like mood lighting, very soft and warm. This one is nice to use with the 60 minute timer that will turn the light off after an hour. (Great for reading in bed.) In addition to these four different types of light that you can choose, there is also a and + control where you can adjust any of the 4 levels, making them dimmer or brighter by degrees, just by tapping it, to suit your taste. So it really has more than four lighting levels. These are all touch controls that you just tap to operate and the active one lights up with a tiny red light.

I like the LED lights because they are low energy and friendlier to the environment. They use about 80 to 90% less energy than an incandescent light. The ones in this lamp are rated to last 45,000 hours. That means that even if you used it for 8 hours every single day, it would last over 15 years! It says it takes 14 watts but when using the softer lights it probably uses even less. Another really nice feature is that it has a USB port near the base where you can plug in your iPhone, iPod or other mp3 player or tablet and charge it while you're working. (Or even after you've turned it off.) This is really handy when you're short on outlets.

Taotronics, the manufacturer, really put a lot of thought into the function and design features in this lamp. The quality really shows and it has become a big favorite in our home.

This TAOTRONICS ELUNE DESKLAMP/EMERGENCY LIGHT is portable and versatile, but the 6 watt LED light is equivalent to only a 50 watt bulb (at the highest setting). For me, this is the bare minimum light for a desk lamp. What I'm accustomed to is a lamp with a 100W incandescent bulb or a 13W fluorescent bulb. However, the lamp head turns easily to direct the light onto your work area, so you can make do with less wattage. The light is very white, without the yellow cast of incandescent or fluorescent light, and doesn't appear to distort colors.

This desk lamp has a slim, attractive design. The base has a small footprint (4" x 6.5") that won't hog desktop space. The rechargeable battery is built into the lamp head, and the lamp head detaches easily for use as a portable light source during power outages, as a camp lantern, or as an emergency flashlight. A carabiner comes in the box for use in attaching the lamp head to a backpack or something else if desired. The lamp head itself has a wide opening at one end that allows the lamp to hang flat against a wall.

The lamp head has a touch-sensitive on/off switch--almost too sensitive, but one gets the hang of it soon enough. A long touch turns the lamp on or off, and short touches will cycle the lamp through its three brightness settings. When the lamp battery is charging, the on/off switch blinks. If the on/off switch stops working--as mine did during the initial charging process--you can fix it by using a toothpick or other slim, nonmetal object to press the reset button located inside the area where the lamp head attaches to the gooseneck. (The lamp will turn on and off quickly when you've actually hit the reset.)

To charge the battery, you attach the lamp to the flexible gooseneck and plug the stand base into an AC outlet. An AC charger is supplied. The lamp base also has a USB port for use in charging cell phones, tablets, and other devices. (This only works when the AC charger is plugged in. Also, the power drain from larger devices may dim the LED light, although this didn't happen when I charged a Nexus 7 tablet.)

This is a very nice, well-made product; clearly it is energy efficient. However, it seems expensive for a rather plain desk lamp (currently priced near $70), unless you need the detachable emergency lamp and/or USB charging features. Because of the price and the 50 watt maximum illumination, I rate it at 4 stars ("I like it" on the official Amazon scale).

Although an attractive design overall, I don't like the little red control light. It is always on if the lamp is plugged in. It is far too bright, is very visible at night and also reflects off the shiny black plastic surfaces. It should be much smaller, dimmer and a quieter color if it needs to be there at all.

Although the touch sensitive control panel is the high tech feature, its response to touch is uncertain unless you touch it just right. I suspect some elderly people could find this hard to get used to. I far prefer buttons which reliably respond to slight pressure rather than to touch.

Received in a day from Amazon and nicely packed. Would make an attractive house warming gift.

I was looking for this style of pendant on a limited budget and wanted to spend less than $100 on it since we were already spending so much money on a total home renovation. This fixture was purchased for $80 and change and I couldn't be happier!the clear seeded glass is beautiful and it looks striking in the narrow hallway I placed it in. I get a lot of comments on it. I wish I had purchased one more before it shot up in price! I would place one in our small foyer as well. So much impact for not a lot of money and good quality too! The electric cord was cut in a half, and I waited for a replacement. I got a replacement cord, started to assemble the lamp, and found out that a socket ring is broken, it fell out of the packet in little pieces. I looked for a new one myself, and after visiting 5 stores, I bought one, though the color is different. Now back to the assembling... 9 plastic tubes are broken so the dangles underneath cannot even be attached. One of the tubes is very dirty and yellow. After a lot of cleaning it got a bit better, but not much. The worst quality control or the worst packing, or both.

At 7 feet tall, this lamp brings drama to your living space. It is bright when set to full power and can be dimmed for nice mood lighting. It wasn't difficult to assemble (a little awkward, but not hard). The bulbs get hot very quickly so I'm planning to replace the ones that were included with some energy saver bulbs -which are about $20 each :-(

The dangles are acrylic and don't send off prisms like real crystals would, but for this price, I knew what to expect. I'm happy with my purchase. (Ask me again in a month when the thing has collected dust, and I may not be so enthusiastic.)

These are great looking lamps with nice clean lines. The only difficulties we had were pretty minor. We purchased several of them and we had to go through a few before we found one with an instruction sheet. The instructions are actually very helpful because without them it is not obvious that the plastic mounting ring for the shade is actually two pieces, since they are sometimes difficult to separate. Once you know that you only want to remove ONE PART of the ring to install the shade, this process becomes very simple. Also, the threads where the wand is attached were poorly cut on some of the lamps (you need a 4mm x .7 tap to finish cutting them carefully, remember you don't want go to through where there might be wires, etc.). Finally, we suggest unpacking these lights outside because most of the packages are severely battered in transit and the plastic foam insert in which the heavy base is packed is nearly always smashed to bits and these styrofoam bits will get EVERYWHERE in your home via static electricity and air currents if you are not careful.

None of this is meant to suggest that we didn't like these lamps. We love them and minor quality control lapses do not interfere with our use and enjoyment of them. One note: if you want or expect the on/off switch to be on or near the lamp head, be warned, there is none, the switch is in the cord several feet away.

I found this lamp ad Home Depot for considerably more (about twice the price) Really liked the contemporary lines and fits my minimalist home. Very nice and sturdy! Put together was a snap and I don't find it the least bit "wobbly"? Just be sure to put it together properly. Instructions were right on top. Luv it!

This is a beautiful lamp. I saw it in store and had it ordered and shipped to my apartment. Upon opening the box, the Styrofoam exploded everywhere. I don't recommend opening in the house. When I screwed the pole into the base, the hole seemed to be stripped. The pole is wobbly and barely stays in place. The top part where the lamp is does not even fit in the hole on top of the pole. HORRIBLY made and I am severely disappointed for the price that I paid. Will be returning.

This light is perfect IF you have a huge bathroom. I love it. The globes are heavy and just what I wanted. The metal is heavy and looks great. Even though I asked and got answers to my questions about size, it is just impossible to "see" it without seeing it in person. We have the 5 x 8 bathroom and this is enormous, probably twice the size of our existing one. If I could figure out how to add a pic to show some perspective I would do that, in the meanwhile if you are interested it might be worth it to make a "box" of sorts of the measurements and hold it up to the area it will be used, unless you have one of todays LARGE bathrooms. Sadly I will have to return it :(

This light is basic but functional. It is a lot bigger than the picture lets you see, as it protrudes quite a bit from the wall.It was relatively easy to install, except for the fact that the screws provided were too short to attach the plate to the connection box.

I was hoping for but didn't really expect the light output from this thing to be bright. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is. This one light illuminates a large area very well, better than the dual head halogen light it replaced (which blew bulbs every year and used 10 times more power). I mounted it on the eave of my 3 story home and aimed it toward the driveway. I can easily see to roll my trash cart out to the street which is at least 100 feet away. If it lasts I'll leave my five star rating...

I almost didn't order this based on a previous review. Either the company (Made in USA, by the way) changed the magnetic base or the previous reviewer had a "bad" magnet. This seems unlikely. The lamp is heavy-duty: thick gauge cord, amazingly robust gooseneck and a solid feel to the switch.

I put it on the cast iron base of a die filing machine and had zero movement from the magnetic base even though I really tried. The only "problem" was getting the magnet loose when I decided to place it on a different position on the machine.

I've used other, very expensive, machine lights and in terms of quality and function, it's very comparable. A very fair price.

I personally don't think the magnet-base is powerful enough for how rigid the gooseneck arm is. I appreciate the rigidity as the lamp holds in place very well. However, whenever I attempt to adjust the lamp, the magnetic base breaks free and the lamp comes loose. I am placing it on a pretty thick and solid metal base.

I'm sure this is a good product for some, not quite what I wanted. The arm could loosen up over time, but I'm not sure that is what I really want.

The bulb cover is plastic not metal, and the switch is oddly located at the top of the lamp (which I can see in the picture but mistook for something else).

Overall a solid product that was not right for my application.
