The light is nice. I love the shade and it really updates our entry way. The only thing I don't like is the shiny white bottom piece. I think I might find fabric to cover it with. For the price it was worth it however.

I love this ceiling light!. We ordered it for our nursery and it looks great. We get so many compliments on it. It would look great anywhere. One customer complained about the shiny plate on the bottomthat was not an issue at all. Just use the reverse side. One side is glossy and the other matte. You can't beat the price.

Bulb came brokenand color is much different than in picture.

It's much more tan than white.

Its really girly looking.

My boyfriend wasn't too happy.

But its growing on me.

It takes a special prong bulb.

If you live in the country like it do (hawaii)

It will be hard to find and expensive.

Though this shade on the light isn't like the image shown, its still a great light... I installed this immediately and noted the almost beige color of the lamp shade...which wasn't a shock since I read other reviews and knew what to expect. When this light is turned on, the shade becomes almost mustard yellow but you do get to see all the great twill patterns in the material which gives it lots of visual interest.

The light is wonderfully bright especially the area right under the drum shade. It takes a second to get to this super bright point-something about the kind of bulb.

Installation wasn't too tough-just awkward. The silly little threaded ball caps that hold the base to the ceiling are a pain to get started, I dropped them once and had to go chase them down...ugh... also, you have to mount the drum shade before another part who's installation requires you to reach in the area between the shade and the main fixture mounting area to screw on a star washer and nut from the top. Hopefully you have skinny hands and arms if you plan on installing this-it helps.

Overall, despite the very different shade color, I do like this lamp, its upscale and modern without being too modern/unusual that its going to get dated anytime soon.

Shipping was incredibly fast-3 days-but it came usps and the box was really beat upthankfully the two punctures and the terribly smashed corner did not damage the shade too obviously. I would advise better shipping methods or additional packaging.

We bought this light fixture for our foyer. My husband wasn't sure about this styling and really wanted a flush mount fixture. I ordered this anyway and it has really updated our living space! It looks much more up to date and modern while still fitting in with other traditional aspects of our home. My husband installed this quickly without much problem. I was hesitant to order because of others stating that it was sort of green, but I don't think that's true. It's more of a true linen/cream, but still blends in well with the white trim and stair case throughout the house. Terrific pricing for this fixture as well, similar ones at other sites were much more expensive.
