The instructions are just ok. They have both pictures and words. But the layout could have been better. The fan itself is made of good solid material nothing cheesy or skimpy on it. My only nitpick is where some of the attachment holes are for the screws are in a inconvenient place for someone with large hands working overhead it might be difficult. But overall this fan is fantastic.

I'm buying one of these for each of my enemies this Christmas. It is maddening to install. Instructions are difficult to follow. Screws are small, hard to maneuver into proper holes, & holes on blade mounting brackets, while threaded, had been painted so screws didn't turn in smoothly; required a lot of pressure. Blades attached over your head after motor suspended from ceiling with hex head screws for which they give you a tiny Allen wrench. Too little room to get an electric driver to screw head. And, it takes 3 hands to hold blade & place screws. Entire process took hours & was highly frustrating. I've installed other ceiling fans before. They were much easier than this. Not recommended.

Looking to improve the A/C in all the house without lower the thermostat setting, this fan proved to be the right selection, silent without the need of special wiring as the remote control allow just to replace the ceiling light for it.

Just a tip; installing it without the extension pole, the highest speed doesn't move air. Anyway the 4 inches of the pole doesn't make a big difference.

This fan arrived when it was promised from Amazon, and was relatively easy to install in about 1.5hrs. I have 7'8" ceilings in my bedrooms and this fan works great for these rooms, churning enough air to cool and not making me duck when i walk under it (I am 6'3")!

I would recommend this fan to anyone with low ceilings who need a flush mounted remote controlled fan.

Installed in properly sized room but: Moves very little air, high speed is med/low speed for a Hunter or Hampton bay, wobbles (even after adjustments) and has harmonic noise generation. face it, I was completely fooled when I purchased this. The only prior negative feedback was that remote electronics could bearly fit in housing.

Shame on Amazon to even sell this piece of junk!

My husband bought the 4.5 ft lighted palm tree as a Christmas gift for me. We are wintering in Florida and have only had it on for a couple weeks at night. The top lights (yellow) that make the trunk are already burning out. I'd just like someone to tell me how this can be corrected. I'm sure it can't be returned for a replacement, I just want to fix it. So I'm giving it only 3 stars. Too bad, because it looks so cute with my 2 lighted flamingos.

This was a super cute lamp... until one day I set a metal necklace on the lamp base (it was plugged in but not turned on) connecting the two telescoping ends, connecting some sort of circuit and the lamp started to catch on fire! the base was smoking noxious burning plastic smoke.

I had bought two of these lamps (different batch numbers) and they both spark and start to catch on fire when you connect the two telescoping ends with anything metal. Yeah, the scientist in me wanted to see if it was reproducible.

DO NOT GET THIS LAMP!! I have reported it to the Consumer Product Safety Commission and the report is posted and searchable on their website.

I bought this lamp to read late at night without disturbing my sleeping spouse. This little lamp casts just enough concentrated light to read, and without the flickering that some earlier "booklights" produced. It works great and takes up very little space on my nightstand.

I bought this for its sleek look. Bad decision. I should have researched a bit more.

Opening the package, I noticed it's a lot smaller than I had thought. Assembly took almost no time, after switching it on --alas --what a big let down. Despite the number of LEDs, the light is still dim, and the area it lightens on the desk is barely able to cover a piece of letter sized paper, even when it's fully extended.

I would give it a one star for I really can't think of any use how to salvage this $30 purchase.

I bought this so I could see my keyboard without putting the main lights on and getting reflections and glare off my screen. Ideal, although another couple of inches of height would be nice. Enough light too to give a pool of light just big enough to read by, without dazzle.

If you want to light up the whole work surface though, this isn't it.

This light is fantastic. I have been disappointed in both solar and motion activated lights in the past, but the MAXSA 40110 30-Watt Halogen has proven to be a superior product to others I have purchased in the past. The light is strong enough to illuminate my entire 16' x 16'deck. The sensor picks up my 40-lb dog when she goes out at night. The battery has held charge. Installation was easy. This light is highly recommended for security needs where wiring is not easily accessible. Great buy.

Well I took a chance on this light and I am OK with it. It could be brighter as it appears to have a 12v bulb running off the 6 volt battery and light output is yellow/orange vs normal halogen white. Works fine otherwise.

and to the "experts"; Yes I know how to use/charge these lights. Setup was easy and it lights up the area that I wanted it to.

It's very flimsy, but several I have seen or tried in this price category were also flimsy. I could deal with that except for the fact that the kit includes old-tech T-12 bulbs instead of the newer, brighter T5 bulbs. The lights are not as bright. Also, one of the bulbs flickered and no amount of tinkering would stop it. Then, the bulb went completely dark. A few days later, it came on again. The ends of the bulbs are dark and so you don't get good light for the entire lengths of the bulbs. I would have rated this 4 stars if it included the better T5 bulbs. I don't remember seeing the type of bulb in the description. If it was there, then it's my fault for buying it in the first place!

I wanted to purchase a tabletop grow light this year. In the past, I have started seeds indoors using only the light from a southern exposure window. The seedlings were a bit leggy. The first fixture I received was DOA. I switched the bulbs and starters. I even opened it up to make sure all the wires were connected it just would not work. What irritated me was that the instruction sheet reads: "All fixtures are tested prior to shipping." They do not give a phone number or email address to contact if you have any problems. I got an RMA from Amazon and they sent a replacement which is working well. Tip: The carton is sealed with heavy-duty staples. You can easily rip the carton trying to open it. Be careful and remove the staples with pliers, just in case you have to return it.

... but not as good as the one I bought from Park's in 1991 or 1992, which lasted about 20 years. This one is also not as elegant as the old one, nor as stable. The word that came to my mind after I had assembled it was "rickety." I doubt that it will last 20 years but, then, I probably won't either. So, for people like me (no children and no cats or other pets) it serves its purpose. I am using it to display houseplants. It comes with two Sylvania T12 Gro-Lux tubes. It has an on/off switch so that you don't have to unplug it when you want it off. Also, it is silent; I mention this because I have a jump-start lamp (bought three or four years ago) that I use for tomato seedlings, in a spare room, and that one has a constant hum. This one does not.
