Nice light fixture. However I would say that the glass color is not at pictured. The picture looks white or off white. The actual glass is more of a beige/light brown. I was surprised when i took it out of the box ( thought i got the wrong light). The glass color does not detract from the light, however, the light that is cast in the room has more of a gold color now. The Brass is beautiful and delivery was very quick.

I was really nervous about ordering this lamp, I was afraid that it would be too contemporary. I got the lamp yesterday and I am so in love with it; it looks ilke something for restoration hardware but at a much lower cost. It's a great vaule for the money. Sturdy, very attravtive and is true to what the photo shows. Though, I was a little suprised about how narrow the shade is. It is not round but a very narrow oval. (enough room for two light bulbs and thats about it) This lamp, even with both bubls on, does not create a lot of light. I have it in my living room to add just a little extra light to a dark corner. Overall though, I love it! I also bought the matching floor lamp but that should be in next week.

The lamp works well, and its dual bulbs mean it can be very bright if you want it to be. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the shade is very narrow, a thin oval, which means it has to be turned a certain way to look right. I should have noticed that before ordering, so it's my fault, but it makes placement a little awkward.

Installed ten of these in a 1/2" drywall ceiling. Used a 3-1/8" hole saw. They are short enough to fit if the ceiling has 2x6 joists. The electrical box works best with romex if you punch out the knockouts and use a romex strain relief. That way the wires are secured better as you work the unit into the hole.

Snap-in eyeball housing holds the GU-10 lamp easily and securely and allows aiming. I replaced a few of the included 50-watt halogen lamps that run very hot with 6-watt 3-LED CREE MR-16 lamps that produce almost no heat but put out the same illumination. Very nice.

These come with white painted trim. The tiny units make my old 6" can lights look really clunky and old fashioned. The new generation of miniature LED lamps will mean totally redesigned and more compact ceiling lights.

Very happy with the lights, easy install, compact profile, work great.

Some details -

Use a 3.25" hole saw (the included template is metric & translates to 3.2" technically). A 3-1/8 will work but is tight enough that removal could damage the drywall.

These are NON-IC, meaning insulation must be moved 3" away from the housing so they can vent heat properly.

The included halogens provide a warm, yellow natural light with moderate dispersion. Other options are LED (whiter light, lower dispersion) or CFL (less white than LED, more than halogen, best dispersion but slow 60 sec warm-up time). The CFL & LED use about 90% less electricity than the halogens.

NOT for wet locations like a shower. Bathroom is OK everywhere but in the shower.

these were just what our kitchen needed! Easy to install, easy to replace the stock halogens with LED bulbs, by the way, the height of the bulb does not matter in this fixture! I was so stressed trying to figure out which bulb to order and seeing all these nightmares about the bulbs not fitting...no need to worry with this, it will fit any height as the cover is what is holding the bulb.

I couldn't find a 3-1/8" hole saw, so I used a 3" and made the hole a little wider with a box cutter...pretty easy. You want these to fit snug anyway. I don't use the directional feature as I surrounded my island with all 6...no need to turn any of the bulbs. it is so bright!!

We bought these as part of a remodel project of the dining room and bar. I originally bought a track light but changed my mind when I saw these. They are in a drop ceiling over the bar and are connected to a dimmer switch to create the right amount of light for the occasion. Lights arrived on time and in good condition. I already had power above the drop ceiling so using that I ran romex 14 gauge wire to the first one and then daisy chained the rest. each light has it's own electrical connection box. I installed these into wood using a 3 1/8 hole saw but had to grind it out a little so a 3 1/4 probably would have been a better choice. I am using the 50 watt halogen bulbs that came with the lights, they can be replaced with LED's with the U10 base which cost more than halogen but use much less power and have longer life (6 watts v 50) for the same amount of light. If you choose this option and use a dimmer be sure the dimmer is certified to work with LED's or it may not work due to their low power draw.

These fixtures ended up being a lot bigger than what I imagined however they look stunning in my bathroom. My contractor ended up hanging them upside down because I didn't have enough ceiling height in my bathroom to hang them rightside up and still be able to reach in and change bulbs when needed. I used two of these fixtures with 100w equivalent CFLs for the entirety of my bathroom lighting. I have a very modern grey and white bathroom and desperately wanted fixtures that did not have a "tulip" or other bell-shaped globe. these fit my needs exactly!

This light looks good but the quality is terrible. I bought 2 of them, and each one had one defective fixture causing the light bulb to light only sporadically. I don't recommend it.

This product came in as described. The finish seemed OK although the brush nickel finish seemed more like stainless brush and kinda looked lighter. But the design looked great specially when installed and very bright illumination.

Upon receiving this item, the metal ring around the lower portion of the light had come unglued and was disconnected from the glass. At that point, we had to decide whether to return the item, wait to get a replacement, etc. or simply re-glue the ring ourselves. It seemed as though the original glue was defective as it was discolored. After scraping all the old glue off the ring and the glass fixture, we reattached the ring. It works and looks just fine.

This light was not what I expected. I expected a light about the size of a halogen light and made of light plastic. This is a rather hefty light and made of metal(if not it is very very heavy plastic.) and seems well constructed. It gives off a lot of light. It might not suit my needs because it is so bright and gives off that typical fluorescent glare(in other words not a soft bright light). I wanted a light for my scroll saw finish work so I could be sure I wasn't missing varnishing any of the fine cuts that I make. It certainly would be good for working around the car and working in those spots that good lighting is unavailable so I am keeping it even it it doesn't meet my original goal. The company put an order form in for additional bulbs and they seem to be reasonably priced and being fluorescent, they shouldn't need to be replaced that often. There are a couple of places that sell the light cheaper on the net but by the time you pay shipping, it is a wash and Amazon.com has always been great with customer service.

What else can I say about these besides they are BRIGHT and efficient. Oh, the build quality is top notch too. They are a bit pricy, but I can foresee these lasting many years which is a good investment to me. I will be ordering more of these in the future.

Therefore, it is best applied as general illumination of a broad area rather than as a focused, intense light on a small work area. This is a better unit than virtually all of the fluorescent worklights out there. And you pay for it. But on the whole it is worth it. At 65 watts it throws out a lot of light with very little current draw and minimal heat. However, it is not nearly as bright as comparable halogen based lights (of course they draw a ton of current and produce a ton of heat). So, I bought one of each type and find that each has pluses and minuses and both are used regularly in my shop. It's a good item that I am very happy with.

When I recently bought all new bedroom furniture I decided to look for a matching pair of table lamps. These Sorrento lamps from Kathy Ireland were appealing for several reasons: they are attractive, have a very handy built in night light, and are very reasonably priced for their quality. Although I had seen other Kathy Ireland table lamps in person I had only seen the online images of these prior to ordering. What was not evident to me was the depth of the shade's gold color. Although I'm not normally a huge fan of gold lampshades, I really like the color these cast with a standard bulb: the resulting light is a very warm tone and eminently suitable for a bedroom.

The dimensions are perfect for a nightstand (though would work in most living rooms or dens too): they are 30" tall and the shade is a modest 16" diameter at the largest which means that it can fit on even relatively small bedside tables with no problem. The base is a lovely semi-opaque goldtone glass and conceals the 7 watt nightlight (which is included.) A minor quibble: there's only one 7 watt bulb in each base, and the glass is not opaque enough to conceal that fact so the nightlight looks slight asymmetrical when it's on. Changing the normal bulb is easy, but I think replacing the nightlight will be a vexing chore. The switch is a four position switch that allows any combination of normal lamp and nightlight, but is not a three-way light in the conventional sense.

The detail and antique bronze finish on these lamps is art deco flavored and is most agreeable. Both of my lamps arrived in excellent condition and were incredibly well packed (be prepared for a mighty struggle to get the Styrofoam packing elements out of the boxes.) You will need a vacuum cleaner to clean up the resulting Styrofoam detritus that's unavoidable.

These are very nice looking lamps and I like the functionality of the four-way light and the warm tones the lamp and shade combination produces. I have no hesitation recommending the Sorrento table lamp from Kathy Ireland.

I'm happy with this Bulbrite Vintage Fixture... It looks nice and seems solid enough. It fits right in with the look I was going for. The only thing that confused me a bit was the fact that the description says "cloth covered adjustable cord". I wasn't sure if that meant that it came with a plug attached and the cord was cloth covered to be consistent with the style? Well, there's about 8" of wires sticking out the back, but it's not cloth covered and there's nothing adjustable about it. Why would there be? It's meant to mount on/wire into an electrical box in the wall (FYI-the fixture could probably be mounted on a wall without wiring directly into a box. I actually mounted it onto a framed wood panel that I built to match my headboard. I drilled a hole to run the wires through this wood panel so that you hardly see the cord at all because the wood panel is mounted just a couple of inches above my headboard. If you mounted it directly to a wall without an electrical box you might have to drill a hole in the bottom of the fixture to run a cord through... otherwise it wouldn't mount flush with the wall. You'd also need to attach a cord with a switch because the fixture itself doesn't have a switch). Anyway... I'm rating this item at 4 stars instead of 5 just because I feel like it's a little expensive for what it is. I know that similar styles often cost a lot more... So, for this type/style of fixture this one is the best value that I could find, but I still feel like you're being charged extra just because this style is a little difficult to find. The quality is good, but nothing truly impressive. I was a little surprised how lightweight the fixture is. If it wasn't for the mirrors built into the shade it wouldn't have much heft to it at all. That's just my opinion. I'm a little cheap :) Also, I felt like it was difficult to see the true color of this fixture in the photos provided in the description. The description says "pewter finish" and that is accurate. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the finish isn't quite as dark as I'd imagined it would be from the photos. It is fairly dark but also a little reflective/shiny, which is probably why it's a little hard to tell from the photos.

IMPORTANT: Verify it is not damaged or missing anything once you receive it.

I didn't realize it was damaged until after I hardwired it to the ceiling.

One of the crystal "ropes" that hang from it was installed incorrectly AND it was missing one of the big tear-drop crystals.

I was able to repair the rope and luckily we had an extra tear-drop crystal left over from a separate chandelier that came with some spare parts that I was able to use.

After all of this, it is a nice chandelier on the small side, but nice for a girl's room (in this case, our baby daughter).

This beautiful, dainty chandelier is perfect for any little girl/tween or teenager. It's simply beautiful. We did hard wire our chandelier, which only took minutes. It was hung up and glowing in under 30 minutes. The light is bright enough, but not overpowering. Each mother that has seen it has inquired about where I got it and how much they would love one for their daughter they are also pleasantly surprised at the low cost. This fixture is a winner, you'll love it!
