The shade looks great and fits the antique lamp fixture. However, there was no "threading" in the lampshade to hold it in place. It's actually the lightbulb that holds it on, but it can still spin on the metal bulb housing.

I purchased these lamps from visiondecor.com directly, but they do not allow anyone to review unreviewed items, even members (very curious indeed). After many lies, excuses, broken promises; I received my order after 38 days. The box packing (inside and out)was some of the best I have ever seen from anyone. Past that, the product was very poor. I really like the idea of the lamps, but the execution as a product is appalling. The paint on the product looks like it was done in a 5th grade art class, many unpainted spots, painted spots with the wrong color, scratches, paint drips (I'm not kidding, at the base there are dried drips). The shade is not a reddish color as the pictures indicate, it is a brown. It is a very thin cloth which upon examination shows that it will not last very long and will burn and rip (from bulb heat). The main lighting stem is crooked and cannot be bent straight, about a 10-15 degree deviation from vertical. The top screw down decorative piece for the shade is set crooked, about a 35 degree deviation from vertical and will not screw flat to secure the shade from movement. The shade supporting snap in bars are very VERY thin, they wobble, shake, and rattle around. If you blow hard at the shade itself, it will sway and shake because of this. Look somewhere else if you are looking for something decent, this is not even close. I was not expecting anything fantastic and perfect, but for the price, this product should be much better. I am in the process of sending these back. This is an unbiased review, I am not nit picking; just stating the facts. (:

I like these lamps and they were a very good price on sale. The shades come collapsed and that leaves wrinkles, but I thought I could iron them out (or steam). The beading around the bottom of the shade is a bit flimsy, but over all I think that I got a good deal and I like the way they look.

We bought this for a half bath, probably two months ago. We just got around to putting the bathroom together. When I opened the box, the glass globe was shattered. I emailed Amazon, who forwarded it to the seller. It was definitely outside of Amazon's 30-day return policy. The seller emailed me and was incredibly attentive. He said that I could return it or just have the glass shipped out to us. It's that kind of service that keeps me coming back.

The actual fixture is gorgeous. It is perfect for the small space. We upped the wattage to the CLF 100 watt bulbs, 60 was too dim. The brushed nickel on this fixture matches the brushed nickel on the sink faucet, spot on. I love the feel it gives the room. Very fancy! :)

The main vertical pole consists of several tube elements that screw together. The fit of the joints is poor, the tubes themselves bend, and the end result when assembled is that the entire lamp bends under the weight of the arm that arcs out to the lamp. In addition, our base, which has a counter-weight within it, started to delaminate almost immediately after assembly and the entire lamp would fall forward if we did not place a weight on the base itself. This is the worst-quality lamp I've ever owned.

The base is too small to adequately support the weight of the arch and shade, especially on carpet. The arch does not fully complete and the bulb is left to stick out at an awkward angle.

Best Deals for Goliath Arc Lamp

The lamp was received with a piece broken. The manufacturer sent a new piece out so a week later we finally were able to put it together. Would have been nice to not have broken pieces. Once assembled, the lamp was fine and fit perfectly where we intended it.

Product very well constructed and the pricing was excellent compared to other vendors. Purchased 1-item with the intent of purchasing an additional light once tested. The brightness and coverage totally exceeded my requirements, there was no need for additional lighting. This light fixture replaced 2-older halogen 100watt flood lights. Would recommend for use in large carport or patio areas, we placed this light fixture in a large carport area next to small building.

The Disney Princess lamp is an immediate hit with the 4-6 year old set who consider themselves princesses as well. The figures are bright and attractive; the music is lively. The one drawback I found is that there is no night light for bedtime enjoyment. But, all in all, this is a great addition to a little girl's room.

This is the perfect lamp for any little girl who loves princesses. My daughter got it for her 4th birthday. It is easy to use with a push button to turn the light on/off. The princesses dance and revolve and talk before the light turns off or on. The only bad thing is the volume is louder than you would want right before bed or if you wake in the middle of the night and turn it on. It could also use a night light feature. I had seen a different princess lamp w/the night light. It is also expensive but will last.
