Pretty and sturdy, but seriously diffuses light. A 40W incandescent (box says 45W max.) hardly illuminates anything, and gets a bit warm. Works best with a 100W-equivalent compact fluorescent, unless you are in serious need of some serious mood lighting. :D Compact fluorescents also stay cool.

I was really pleased that the lamp was assembled and arrived in a sturdy double box, on time, and at an affordable price. I was also pleased to see it was made in the Phillipines. Good quality. Thank you.

The lamp I bought is great, well made, the fit and finish is really good. They work great, look still better. Be advised, the lamp when lit gives off a faintly amber light which was a surprise to me. for the web page photos don't show the lamp on, but it only adds to the warmth and charm.
