I study, read, and crochet in bed while watching tv (it is my luxury). I continously have issues being able to see what i am doing. I have a small bedside lamp, but it doesnt put out much light and if i use the overhead light, it sometimes casts a shadow on what i am trying to do. I had to stay in a hotel for business and thought the lamps mounted on the wall were very functional and easy to operate. No more fumbling for the switch on the cord. I told my husband that i needed a lamp to mount on the wall and he was absolutely against it. When trying to learn to crochet, i thought this is it. I immediately pulled out my laptop and just knew there had to be a wall lamp that was functional and didnt look as though it belonged in a hotel. I found it. I didnt want to spend a lot of money on the lamp, because i didnt know if i would like it or if my husband would let me have it. The lamp came to my home quickly and when i opened it, my husband was still against it. I came home one day to find it hanging on my side of the bed and I have been very happy with the lamp. It is a 3 way bulb with a max of 150, which is very useful, depending on what you are working on. The switch is located at the base of the lamp, which most of the time is cumbersome to turn on and off, but if the lamp is mounted above your head, it is far easier to get to. Warning, the cord cover is not included and i would absolutely suggest that you have one. Now, i just need to convince my husband to let me get one for his side of the bed. Oh yeah, you will love the fact that there is one less thing sitting on your endtable, dresser, whatever.

1st You can't swing the middle part only on the side part.

2nd the shade of the lamp wasnot exactly the same as the one pictured.

3rd and this is the one that pist me off the most -you can't switch the light on and off. It is like switching a screw driver. It gets tighter and tighter. I am only plugging and unplugging it is the only way to do it.

Only positive thing is that it does hang from the wall.

Wish I never threw away the box otherwise I would have returned it!!!

For the price it's fine but overall the quality is kind of poor. The shade is collapsed for shipping and it was difficult popping it out to use it. It's also a silky fabric that looks like it will collect dust, cat hair and anything else in the room. The swing arm droops about an inch but I haven't tried tightening the screws behind the plate yet. The on/off switch is very stiff (not helpful for arthritis sufferers like me). Assembly and mounting it on the wall was fairly easy. Being able to mount the plate first then attaching the lamp to the plate was a good idea and made it go faster. Overall, for $30 and free shipping I give it 3 stars.

Edited on 2/19/13 It has been less than a year since I bought this lamp and it is now in the trash!! The middle part of the arm where it was drooping continued to droop. There is no way to tighten, stabilize or repair it at all and since all the wiring runs through there I was worried about fire hazards. It was sagging so much that I had to throw it out. I wound up going to Home Depot and buying one for the same price. I highly suggest you avoid this company's products.

We purchased four of these wall lamps. The shades are absolutely the worst, but the lamps are great. We purchases new shades as Bed Bath and Beyond and they are great now.

I received what I ordered, however it was not new, it was a product that had been used before and had the marks of wear and tear from being used. I contacted the seller and received no answer. Although I do understand that they have to do something with the returns they get from people, when I order a product as new, I would like to receive one that is new, not one that had been used. I would order from another company, which guarantees new in the box product. Otherwise, product appears ok, I am giving it only one star due to the fact that the company is selling used products, not new, and they fail to make that statement on the website.

I'm extremely pleased with this purchase. I ordered two sets of lawn lights and they came in only two days. The website for the lawn lights company has great instructional videos (highly recommend you watch them as they will save you time). I installed as suggested, and it only took me minutes to install. Including staking, it was 15 minutes for both sets of lights and covered a lot of area. The stakes are great really help the lights shine. I didn't bother raking up all the leaves before installing, but with the stakes, it didn't matter.

I used green outdoor extension cords to get a lot of coverage, and I'm so pleased with the look that I'm going to order a third set to extend the light display even further (we have several acres). All of the LED lights worked well, nothing broken, and it came with extra bulbs and stakes. The green wiring blends in perfectly with the ground so that it's hard to see the wire even in the daytime.

For the price, this is a well done product and a great idea. And finally some Christmas lights that I didn't have to climb on a ladder or have my husband install!

I brought these lights as part of my holiday Christmas decorations. I was a little skeptic when I was purchasing them. They arrived right on schedule, no delays. They look exactly as they did in the video I reviewed on their web site. The instructions were very easy to follow and I had them up in no time.

Now, here comes the great part. I live on the east coast and we just had our most snow ever in the month of December, since 1907 (I wasn't even born then. The snow completely covered my lights by at least 13 inches. My lights were above ground by about 7". We had a little over 20" of snow. AND....you could still see the lights under the snow when I turned them on at night. It was a very beautiful glowing image under the snow.

The weekend after Christmas, it rained hard for two days and washed all the snow away. My neighbors all told me that they liked the light better when they were shinning from beneath the snow covered lawn...image that.

Would I recommend the Lawn Lights, yes, yes, yes

I liked the idea of a long string of lights without attaching multiple groups so I ordered this set. While this fit the need, I feel the description should indicate how many lights per foot. The lights are spaced too far apart for my taste, about 5 feet, but they were easy to handle, as stated.

I went with these very confidently based on the two 5 star reviews. However, for my taste there were just not enough lights in the reel to justify the purchase. Granted, these will cover a lot of area but the lighting is at best sparse. I also had a broken lightbulb which made it even worse, because I felt that I had to make each lightbulb count. If you do decide to go with these, one tip I have for all the slack from the wires (which you will have plenty of) is to wrap the slack around the stakes, and then put them into the ground. That gives a much cleaner look. Apart from that, this is the one and only christmas I will be using them for.

I replaced an old noisy fan so power and exhaust were already in place. I selected this one for its quietness rating and it is so quiet that I can barely hear it. The area is only 24 s.f. so 50cfm seemed adequate. I would recommend it to a friend.

Waiting to see how it holds up over our harsh Canadian winters, but it looks great, out of the box! Very attractive. I am considering putting a coat or two of marine varnish on the exterior, before putting it out. A bit pricy to get ruined by the weather. I am really happy with this lamp. We have the white Siamese cat. It was larger than I expected, and it made me feel like a crazy cat person when it first showed up... but I've grown incredibly fond of it. My son has slept with this light on in his room every night for the past 2 years. The brightness is perfect... not too bright but enough so that you can see around the room. My husband and I have spent many a night up with this light at this point now, and can definitely see what we need to during middle of the night feedings and diaper changes. We are expecting our second child and are looking for a new lamp for his room. There is a good chance we'll get another Offi light for him as well. We've tried to find a less expensive option, but aren't coming up with anything that works quite as well as this one.

I received an orange Siamese lamp and it had a light/thinner circle around the eye that Offi initially said was definitely a flaw. So they sent another, which had the same problem. So they sent a green one, which had the same problem. Offi then decided it wasn't a flaw. It looks funky. Also, the light is 10W, which a guy at the hardware store told me is for reading lights -it's too bright. I tried a 5W that I bought off Amazon at a pretty steep price, and if it's any dimmer, it's not noticeable. The black cord and big black power adapter are eyesores and the lamp also gets a little hot, which doesn't seem safe. Also note that Jolity's return policy is ridiculous; you basically can't touch the box or they won't accept it as a return and you have to pay to ship it back and if they don't accept it, pay to have it shipped back to you.

I've had this for about a year and abuse it quite a bit. The cover on the magnifying glass is very important, other wise it becomes a dust collector. The light comes on in about 5 seconds. It is plenty bright enough. Mine are fluorescent tubes.

Maybe i over tighened the bottom knob and then raised an lowered it too many times. But after a year, it broke. Can't be fixed unless you know how to weld aluminum. Maybe mine was defective. I was sad. But a year later, i couldnt' find anything i like better so i bought another. I don't usually do that. I'm going to baby this one. 4.5 stars.

This lamp is a very sturdy, good quality lamp and it is great for my husband's workshop. The long arm allows excellent adjustment for whatever project he is working on. Since he has vision in only one eye, he has trouble with depth perception at close distances. He loves this new lamp which allows him to see much better than a magnifying glass with a separate light -no more trying to line up everything to eliminate shadows. He is considering buying another for his desk.

What can I say, this desk lamp is a classic. You'll find this in any calibration or electronics shop because it just simply works. I bought this for my wife for crafts, but it has since remained at my desk as a regular desk lamp. I gave it 4 stars only because the metal parts can bend a little bit and I used one at work that was ancient where the knobs had cracked and broken off. But I'm careful about not over-tightening anything. The magnifier is decent too, especially with the round flourescent light, you have absolutely no shadows. Great for soldering, models, toenails, whatever you want to see.

Relatively Easy to install after you do one. Lighting effect is just what we wanted for under our new kitchen cabinets. Though the low and high switch options are really good, I also installed a dimmer for these as well even though I am not very skilled. Note that you need a specific dimmer type for these guys. Cheaper than the Kichler lights with same look to me. I also linked 5 of these together.

I had bought this lamp before from Ikea and it appears that they have changed a few things on the design. For one it's a lot shorter than I expected. I should have paid closer attention to the measurements. However, they have vastly improved the construction and it's much easier to assemble than the older version. I like this light a lot and it does put out a very bright white light.

No issues. Instant on/off, and decent light for price. I've replaced my indoor and outdoor light bulbs. Will have impact on bill as these were my heavily used lights. Couple of bulbs came in defective and the seller replaced them expeditiously, and without any charge (shipping or restocking). I wish there were more choices of bulb sizes as I would be a buyer.

If you do not have another source of light for your patio table, this is a must have. My husband and I play cards for hours each night in the summer. No more dragging out the extension cord from the garage. This light is surprisingly bright, simple to use and lasts for several hours. My only complaint is that you must recharge it EVERY DAY, even if you have used it just a few minutes the night before. I would love an extra battery, but I can't find how to purchase an extra one. This is a nice subtle wall sconce. It's not large and the oval-within-an-oval design makes it look even smaller. The glass is sort of milky translucent and the scalloping on the glass adds an element of interest without being obvious. I like that the sconce sticks out of the wall just a few inches. The light bulb is so tiny, I thought it wouldn't give off much light but it's pretty bright. Overall effect is understated but not boring. I have it in the living room, where it compliments, rather than competes with, my decor. I just wish they offered the metal part in some other colors as well, but I guess you could always paint the metal plate. Certainly just as nice as some very similar sconces that are priced much higher.
