The fan is a true image of sitting dog. It has two speeds that are a nice contrast. The quality of production seems outstanding and the fan " noise" is minimal. A very nice combination of utility and attraction.

I bought this fan and just like it is pictured, it is very cute. However, the first time I turned it on...the fan blade spun off it's spindle. I liked the look of the fan so much, I was able to open the cover and glue the fan blade onto the spindle. So far i has worked well, but I have to be present everytime turn the fan on, just in case this happens again.

My mother in law gave me this beautiful lamp because I love mermaids. It is so pretty. The metal has a very nice finish and the light emits a soft glow. I use it nearly every night in our bedroom as it gives off just enough light for me to attend to the baby for nightly feedings and diaper changes without disturbing my husband's sleep. It is usually on all night. I love it and highly recommend it!! I've had it for over five years and it still is just like new.

We purchased two of these lights, one for our front entry and one for our back patio. The beveled glass is beautiful and they provide plenty of light. These were professionally installed as part of our major home renovation. Not sure if insects will be able to get inside them easily or not, but time will tell. Overall we are very happy with the new look they have given our home!

This fixture looks good but is a little flimsy. One critical note it will not accommodate full length bulbs (i.e. nearly 4" long). You must use something akin to GE Crystal Clear blunt tip ceiling fan bulbs at just over 3" total length which I found at a neighborhood Ace hardware. If you use normal length candelabra bulbs, you will have to bend the sockets at an angle to put the cover on and it looks weird.

I love the look of this light, and it's a great accent in my living room. That said, be careful when installing this one. The center bolt that extends down through the octogonal globe is a little short, and as far as I can tell can't be adjusted to be longer. I was barely able to screw the end cap on the bolt that holds the globe in place. In fact, I could only turn it half a turn onto the bolt, so it was very precariously held together. You can't over tighten these kinds of lights, because only 4 of the 8 panes of glass touches the base, and if you over tighten the nut, it will actually cause those panes to break away from other four that have a 1/2 inch space between the bottom of the pane and the base. Once this happens, the light globe is ruined. I learned this the hard way when I overtightened the same light for my mother. When I bought one for my own living room, instead over over tighteing it, I took the metal ring that sits between the end nut and the glass globe (holding the globe in place) and I flattened it a little bit with a hammer. The ring was originally a little more than 1/4 of an inch thick. After flattening out the center a little bit, it gave me more room to tighten the nut down without cracking the globe casing. I was able to get two solid turns of the nut, which is enough to hold the globe safely. If you find yourself in the same short-bolt scenario, use this approach and don't over-tighten it.

gave 5 stars because its a nice light fixture...really!

i have been missing though two bronze screws to mount it (it mounts with 2 screws from the bottom and 2 from the top), maybe that was the design, so i put the bronze set on the bottom since thats where you gonna see it, but replaced top ones with gold screws provided (i think those were electrical).

My only other comment is that trying to put a light bulb in those cans is a little pain in a butt due to the length of those and size BUT, how often do you do that? and ultimately it gives you this very nice look...

i have mounted mine upside down (from the picture), due to the distance and such..and it looks amazing~!

i would recommend.

After purchasing the flood light for my back patio about a month ago (Sep, 2013) here are my impressions:

Pros:

* The light is very bright for the wattage, excellent illumination compared to traditional lighting elements (incandescent, fluorescent, etc.)

* The colors are fairly deep. For those that don't know, it makes the varied colors by mixing blue, red, and green leds segments in various percentages. This means that any of those individual colors are very bright, but some in-between colors (purple for example) can be less dramatic.

* Installation is very easy, screw into place and either plug into an outlet (or z-wave controller as I did) or cut the plug off and wire directly into a power circuit.

* The construction is top-notch for the fixture itself. Solid metal casing, thick glass front, and a rubber gasket seal protect the unit from weather.

* The unit has "color memory" so it will turn on with the last color that you specified.

Cons:

* The biggest complaint I have about this unit is the sub-par remote. It's a cheap, generic, plastic affair, which doesn't instill the confidence that the rest of the unit does. However, my biggest complaint is about how reliable the remote it, which is to say, not very. It tends to only work sporadically and at close range to the light, which can be a major annoyance when mounted high up on home siding. For those who are curious, the receiver for the remote is within the glass casing and is the small black dot in the corner.

* One minor complaint is that there is no mounting hardware (other than the bracket) included with the unit. So, you'll want to pick up some decking/siding screws and two or three washers. Again, very minor complaint here.

Overall, the unit is excellent and I'm planning to purchase another.

I bought three floodlights to illuminate my garden at night for decoration. And I have bought it about 3 months ago (July, 2013). This is my impression as below:

Pros:

The quality of the floodlight is brilliant. Its shell makes me feel solid and reliable. It seems like a brand new floodlight after consecutive using about two months. And it showed great CE because it showed that it can survive from sprinkler's watering and pouring rain. Refer to its IP65, it's so practical for outdoors.

It also demonstrated quite well the feature of the power saving. Up to its wattage, it will cost less consumption

Cons:

The remote control was working all right, but one of the floodlights did not have a remembering function, I contact customer service to look into the issue , they have two visions about light , one is less flash modes and more brightness levels. Support memory when power off. The other one is with more flash modes, support power off reset function. She said buyer can choose version before buying on condition note, but I did not notice that.

Overall, I do not care about memory feature, so I take 5 stars to this light and recommend it , if you care it , please pay attention to check the note when you buy it. By the way, the professional customer service from Loftek impression me deeply!Hope my review can advise more buyers.

I agree that the style, design, stability and looks are all great, but the light is incredibly poor. I had bought it to sit on my craft desk so I could focus in on the detail, but I had to turn the head upside down to see if it was even on. I was replacing an inexpensive similar style lamp because the glass kept falling out, but I have gone back to it anyway because at least it was bright enough to work by. Disappointing I liked the small base because it didn't take up a lot of my work table. I guess I will put it next to a bed in a guest room at least it is pretty.

I was having trouble reading text on my copyholder because of poor lighting (as I live in the Colorado Desert, the house windows are tinted because of extremely hot summer temperatures, which does not make for bright interior lighting). However, my computer desk is just a standard size, with two speakers and a monitor on it. So I needed something that wouldn't take up much room, would shine down from overhead on documents, and with a solid heavy base so I would have no problem with it tipping over.

This is the lamp. Besides, with its modern design (amost seems Swedish) in silver, it is very pretty as well. There is a simple on/off switch on the foot of the base, which is egg-shaped. It looms high enough over the copyholder so I can put it in just the position that I want to reflect light (30 small LED lights) down on the text. There is an easily adjustable arm and a swiveling head. And, of course, the stability of the desk lamp is an added safety feature.

And it comes fully assembled. No struggling with nuts, screws, bolts, etc.

It sure saved the day for me. I no longer struggle to read text in dim light.

I purchased this lamp 2-1/2 years ago and until now, I've been very happy with it. However, what I didn't realize when I ordered it is that the 30 small LED lights in this lamp aren't replaceable. Once they burn out, you have to discard the entire lamp. Recently, three of the small lights burned out and several others have started flickering. Unfortunately, the life expectancy of this lamp is relatively short and I can't recommend it.

Ours had a few minor cracks along the bottom edge but they are not noticeable unless you look for them. The height is not very adjustable (you can use one rod or two) but worked out fine over our kitchen island. At first I didn't like how small the shades are (they are just a little bit bigger than the standard size light bulb that goes in the lamp) but I've gotten used to them and appreciate that they don't block your vision much when you are standing up and looking across the island. I recommend this lamp if you like the style.
