Got here quick and in one piece, so I'm happy. My only complaint is that on the website when I selected different colors, they didn't show. So I ended up accidentally selecting a color other than the green one displayed. I'm not upset because I actually prefer this black copper, but it could have ended badly. We purchased two of these lights, one for our front entry and one for our back patio. The beveled glass is beautiful and they provide plenty of light. These were professionally installed as part of our major home renovation. Not sure if insects will be able to get inside them easily or not, but time will tell. Overall we are very happy with the new look they have given our home!

This fixture looks good but is a little flimsy. One critical note it will not accommodate full length bulbs (i.e. nearly 4" long). You must use something akin to GE Crystal Clear blunt tip ceiling fan bulbs at just over 3" total length which I found at a neighborhood Ace hardware. If you use normal length candelabra bulbs, you will have to bend the sockets at an angle to put the cover on and it looks weird.

I love the look of this light, and it's a great accent in my living room. That said, be careful when installing this one. The center bolt that extends down through the octogonal globe is a little short, and as far as I can tell can't be adjusted to be longer. I was barely able to screw the end cap on the bolt that holds the globe in place. In fact, I could only turn it half a turn onto the bolt, so it was very precariously held together. You can't over tighten these kinds of lights, because only 4 of the 8 panes of glass touches the base, and if you over tighten the nut, it will actually cause those panes to break away from other four that have a 1/2 inch space between the bottom of the pane and the base. Once this happens, the light globe is ruined. I learned this the hard way when I overtightened the same light for my mother. When I bought one for my own living room, instead over over tighteing it, I took the metal ring that sits between the end nut and the glass globe (holding the globe in place) and I flattened it a little bit with a hammer. The ring was originally a little more than 1/4 of an inch thick. After flattening out the center a little bit, it gave me more room to tighten the nut down without cracking the globe casing. I was able to get two solid turns of the nut, which is enough to hold the globe safely. If you find yourself in the same short-bolt scenario, use this approach and don't over-tighten it.

We bought 4 of these from Lowes 3 of the small size and 1 of the large. We also bought 2 Trans Globe Lighting 5048, 3-Light Outdoor Post. They're still standing and if you squint they don't look half bad. They all faded from brown to green within months. So if green's your thing... I called the company and they company replaced them, but advised me to spray them with a UV protectant. I thought why, they're meant to be outside, but I did anyway. $6 a can x 4 cans. This slowed the process down, but within a year they're green again. I called the company, Trans Globe, and they basically said too bad, your warranty's up.

Please read reviews before you buy any of Trans Globes, aka Bel Air Lighting, Chinese junk. Long term, after 1 year, you'll be wishing you did. Now looking back I should have demanded a refund.

I purchased four of these lights directly from the manufacturer's website. While the lights themselves are beautiful, the black gold finish faded away in two months time. It faded completely. The new "patina" doesn't bother me tremendously, (I hesitate to even call it patina because I don't want to mislead anyone..(it's not patina like copper verde gris, its dull and gray) but anyone buying these lights needs to be aware that this will happen. It's not even that some of the lights were directly in the sun. They were on 2 different sides of my house and not even the sunniest side. I believe the finishes are just painted on and that was the problem. Thought anyone considering buying these would want to know. Other than that, the lights themselves are gorgeous.

I wish I could give 3.5 stars. While definitely an amateur, I've installed over a dozen ceiling fixtures. This thing does look really sharp installed. However, the details for a non-professional were lacking. The instruction sheet is one side of one page. It has an illustration with the parts and the order they are to be installed, but it would have been more effective with 3-4 step-by-step illustrations/instructions. One wire nut was missing, there are a couple of extra parts that I can't find in the illustration. I think the worst thing for my install is that the bracket it came with doesn't have the 180 degree adjustment I've seen included with other fixtures. As this is a square fixture, it would have been very handy to be able to spin the mount to get it into the perfect position in the box so that the edges line up.

Sounds like a lot of complaints, but I actually really like the thing--and more importantly so does my wife. With better instructions (for amateurs) and a more adjustable mounting bracket, this would have been nearly perfect.

We have this light in our hallway and it's a very nice looking, quality piece. It was easy to install, but uses an odd center rod with multiple pieces: simple enough to install but it will require disassembly of nearly the entire light to swap out the bulb when the current one expires. We're still happy to have the light.

New lighting was required for our kitchen renovation, and it took quite a bit of Internet research to find just the right kitchen lighting, and this fixture goes perfectly with the new cherry cabinetry. The simplicity of the design works well, as does the coordinating mini-pendant fixtures we also bought (P5135-09).

Because I'm familiar with "putting things together", those who are not may have an issue with the less-than-clear assembly/installation instructions (even I needed some extra time assembling this one). There are a lot of pieces, (washers, rings and such) which are not clearly identified in the directions, so getting them in the right order could be a bit of a challenge. I hope the bulb lasts a long while, because opening up the fixture to change the bulb will probably require 2 people (having more than '2 hands' will make it easier)

We had a crappy builders' special "hollywood strip light" that quit working and I needed a vanity light FAST. Didn't really like what I found at the big boxes. Figured I'd try this, since if I didn't like it I could always return it (AMAZON PRIME is fantastic). Anyway, shipping was fast, everything arrived intact, instructions were good not great. The light is gorgeous, but the fabric shade is from the 70's. Easily remedied, just recover the shade in a nice fabric and you'll have exactly what you see in the picture. I am ordering matching products, so really pleased.
