Some pictures I was able to find while researching this light made it look bulky and a little big. If you are looking for a tactical to mount on a weapon, this is too big. If you are looking for an all-around hand carry light that can do a little bit of everything while excelling as a bright spotlight, this is will make you grin from ear to ear. Compared to my 2-D Mag-Lite with a converted LED bulb, the TK35 would fit into the face of the Mag-Lite while just touching the inner part of the black outer rim. Its diameter is a bit less than the Mag-Lite. However, it is far shorter than the Mag-Lite, by about half. Where the Mag-Lite beats the Fenix easily, is in the clubbing department. The Mag-Lite is solid and weighty, the Fenix, while hard and sturdy, feels much lighter and cheaper. This is not to say the Fenix is cheap, it's just not effective as a club. You can hear the inner springs vibrate if you thump the Fenix on something. The advantage of the Fenix is the relative light weight.

As a weapons light, this is light weight enough to use with a hand gun if you carry the light in the other hand. There are 4 brightness levels. Low is no good for use with a gun. Medium is OK. It will kill a person's night vision, but shining at my eyes in a mirror, I could still easily make out the outline of my body. On high, it is blinding and will disorient a person, but with squinting, they could make out your body. On turbo, it hurts the eyes, forces one to turn away and you cannot make out the outline of the body. A person's first reaction would be to put their hands in front of their eyes while turning the head.

As long as you don't need the club feature, this light would make an awesome police light. I am not in law enforcement in any way. I am in the military.

Room test: Besides my 2-D Mag, I also have a Streamlight pen light that fits into my uniform pen holder on my sleeve. It is about 10 lumens. The Fenix on low setting is a little brighter than that, but much more yellow. On medium setting, the Fenix light up a dark room about the same as my 3-watt LED Mag. The Mag has a tighter spot that is whiter, but I like the spot on the Fenix. It is more effective, I think. On high, the Fenix easily lights up a room when aimed at the ceiling. It outshines the LED Mag handily. On turbo, the room is very evenly and well lit. It's not quite having all the lights on in the room, but almost. Even with the room lights on, the Fenix on Turbo will add light to the room when reflected off my bedroom ceiling. The light seems to get whiter the brighter it gets.

Outdoor test: I haven't been able to do this one as much. Most of the times, it's been slightly foggy out. While comparing to my headlights isn't a perfect comparison, it's real world. The Fenix on turbo doesn't cover as much an area as headlights, but it can outshine my low beams. It can just about keep up with my high beams, only because the spot is tighter. As a spot light, this Fenix rocks. It may not outshine the real big boys, but for its size, it is a champ. Out to 100 meters, it lights up very well. Like I said, I haven't been able to use it in the dark outdoors without some fog, so can't comment on the 300 meter claims. I just know this light rocks and easily fits in my hands.

Ergonomics: Don't let the shape fool you. It fits very well into my hands. I have no problems with it not being round. It is easy to grip. I have not had any problems with dropping it. The light will stand up on end, but it rocks and you have to steady it first. Then it will stand on its own. I would have changed the design here so it was stable standing on end.

Battery life: This is not scientific. I just changed out my batteries after almost a month. It was still working, but as the battery wears out, you keep losing a brightness level until there is only one. When you cycle through the settings, if one setting has worn out, there will be no change when you click. The cycles are still there, but the light output will remain with whatever is left. It is hard not to use this light and go to the turbo mode, especially when it's a new toy. I found I used this light on high and turbo the most...easily the most. I use high to save on batteries (~5 hours) since turbo drains the battery quickly (1.5 hours.) Some patriotic gentleman graciously donated a bunch of batteries to me and some friends, so I will use the CR123As for the next several years. However, if not for that, I'd have gone with the rechargeables. If you are a light fanatic, you will go through 4 CR123As every 2-4 weeks, depending on your usage. Once again, I doubt anyone wanting the capabilities of this light will keep in low or even medium that much. The difference between medium and high is so great, that yeah, I keep it in high and jump to turbo a lot.

Sturdiness: It's feels well made. It feels strong. But is is light weight compared to others. You can hear the inside do the springy thing even with a modest bump. I haven't beaten up this thing and don't plan on it. I believe it will hold up well over the years so long as I don't use it as a hammer or club people on a regular basis with it. My gut tells me it is probably tougher than it seems, but time will tell. For what I intend, this should be more than enough.

Features: I love that it has 4 intensity levels. It also has an S.O.S. mode and an incredible strobe light. It comes with a decent sheath and a lanyard. It also comes with a spare o-ring. The box is nice, but I really don't care about that as much as the product itself. The battery compartment is good, too. It's easy to load and unload, install and uninstall. It's waterproof for a few feet. I wish I could dive with it (maybe will try later on in it's life cycle) but oh well. The two button feature is great. Big button power. Little button features. Easy. I find it is OK to use one handed once you have oriented the light according to the manner of the task. Depending on task, you may want one or the other button on top.

Value: I don't know if you can call any flash light over $100 a "value." But, comparing it to other lights in the same category, it is just that a tremendous value. It is not a pocket light. But it is small enough for all purpose use. It makes a great camp light. It makes a great emergency light. It makes a great glove box light. It makes a great around the house light. It makes a great two-handed gun light for most situations. It makes an awesome portable spot light. It makes a great spare head light just to say so because it can.

Cons: Not for little kids. They will burn their eyes out. Needs to be flat standing on end. Tactical rim would be nice for self-defense. Wish battery compartment didn't spring-rattle.

Overall: If you are looking for something in this class, buy it. You will love it, even with the few very minor cons. This is the best light I have ever owned. I have zero buyer's remorse. If my wife wanted one, I'd buy her one in a heartbeat.

Being a flashlight kind of guy, I would still buy a smaller tactical light that I could mount on a rifle. I'd look at a different Fenix.

12 MAY 2011 Edit:

I've had a chance to use the light outdoors on a clear night in the country. I ranged the distances with a range finder the next day, so distances are accurate. Out to 150 yards, this light is completely effortless on Turbo. It is so even and lights thing up brilliantly even when scanning. It does 200 yards nicely, but you can tell it starts losing some of the brilliance. After 250 yards, you'll still see things, but it's not as easy. The light starts to fade fast. I couldn't test 300 exactly due to the terrain, but could shine my way up a hill that was 650 yards. Nope, it couldn't go that far, though it may show reflection from eyes.

After some more use, I'd say you could easily use this light as a weapon as it is metal and would hurt someone, but it won't have the mass of a 2-D Mag light. Once again, the casing would likely survive impact, but I could not vouch for the internals. I don't see why it couldn't survive a big strike, but I'm not going to test it.

I carry this light in a bag and in the car and I haven't scratched the glass at all. I'm pleased with that. I'm on my third set of batteries. The first two sets, I used about the same. This third set, I am using less as the newness wears off. I still am thrilled with the light and think it is everything I had hoped for and more.

I like the comment another reviewer made about using this as a night stand lamp. Absolutely. Until I get outdoors more this spring and summer, this has been my favorite and most frequent use for this light. It can provide just enough light to type on a computer at night without disturbing my wife, or I can turn it all the way up and have a well lit room without having to get out of bed and turn the lights on.

13 SEP 2011 Update:

Maybe because it was cold out, but when I first got this light, it didn't heat up too bad even in turbo mode. I think I even used it frequently indoors. After about the 5th battery change, I noticed the light getting very warm, just about too hot to touch. Now, Fenix does state the heat build up in turbo mode clearly, with a warning on the light itself, but I hadn't noticed it at first. The light will shut off after about 30 minutes continuous on turbo. The other issue of note is that the battery cage seems to rattle even more. The white plastic clips that hold the battery cage together definitely resonates cheap. I think I will gorilla glue it and that should solve that.

I've been able to use it outdoors in good weather a little more. It is still an impressive, versatile, and practical light. Still no regrets. People certainly do notice how bright the light is. Its hard to judge distance across a body of water, but at one campground, it lit up the other side of a very large pond easily. You can't even make out a person on the other side. This light is so bright, that there are situations when it is too bright, and that is easily fixed by using a lesser setting.

Indoors, the reflective light lit up everything. In the great outdoors, you don't get that reflective light out in the clear open night. The beam is just right. It is a great balance between spot without being too focused and lets you see enough of what's around the area you want to see. The farther out you go, the spot still holds and offers great illumination. Great balance and performance for a little handheld light. After all this time, I am still happy as heck I got this light!

With frequent power use, the CR123As go quick. Get a couple sets of the rechargeables if you don't have a gob load of free batteries handed to you.

14 AUG 2013 Update:

Fenix has some new offerings, including an update to this model. I don't own that new update, but wanted to point out that after about 2.5 years, my light has held up well and is still going strong. The brightness still impresses others. I've had zero mechanical issues. I would recommend any Fenix product. This light in particular, is starting to prove itself timeless.

Best Deals for Fenix TK35 Flashlight

I've been skeptical about making the jump to an LED flashlight. For many years I have been using a Streamlight xl-20 but have grown tired of always needing to charge it and replacing the battery sticks every other year. Up until now the only experience Ive had with LED has been cheap key-chain lights and the little LED lights sold near the check stand at the big home improvement stores. The light from these were always to blue for my taste and I didn't think they would ever make one as bright as the big Streamlight. Boy was I wrong. I decide to do some research on these new high intensity LEDs and make the jump. After reading a lot of good reviews about the Fenix TK35 I decided to order one. I'm glad I did! This light outshines the old Streamlight hands down. The color of the light is almost white not the annoying blue as most cheaper ones. This thing is bright!! I think medium will suit most situations and high can really reach out there. Turbo mode is crazy bright! I did a little test at the back of our property by shining it at an object that was a little over 500 feet away. On high it illuminated it very well and on turbo mode it really brought out the details. I have no doubt this will shine even further. The design feels solid and the shape feels good in the hand. Operation is simple. The belt case that comes with it is an added bonus and is well made. If you decide on this light I doubt you will be disappointed.

Honest reviews on Fenix TK35 Flashlight

My most three powerful flashlights are the Fenix TK40 630lm, the Fenix TK45 760lm, and the ITP Light A6 Polestar 700lm and I love them all. I'm crazy about flashlights, I use them all the time, around the house, at work, camping, hiking, and everything/everywhere else that needs a flashlight or an excuse for one. I recently purchased this Fenix TK35...and wow it's AWESOME! For the price, it's cheaper then both my other Fenix-es, but a pit more then the iTP flashlight (not by much), it is so nice...very bright! This flashlight uses either 18650 or RCR123A or CR123A batteries. The 18650 or more expensive so using the RCR123A rechargeable batteries is a great option. But I think if you use the 18650 batteries it will give better light performance. One of CON or minor complaint I have about the flashlight is the where the operating buttons location. It's on the bottom or tail of the light. So using one hand is not an option. When you need to change the mode you have to flip it over, used both hands to manage the modes. But that's not really a minus just a personal preference dislike.

So how well does it perform? It's so powerful comparing to the other 3 lights in turbo mode that it outshines them all, my Fenix-es (TK40 and TK45) and of course the iTP Polestar by a mile! The iTP Polestar is not really in this league, but it's still a nice light. The TK40 comes pretty close but a bit shy. I have also tested this light while driving in the Shenandoah mountain at night against my HID headlights the other day. I have to say, WOW, the light threw even farther then my headlights on high beam. I was so impress! For the price, compact size, and it's powerful light output it is truly a deserving 5 stars, and one other nice feature, it came with a holster! Not like my other two Fenix. And about the battery life, I really haven't tested it but so far it's been a week with 4 RCR123A batteries and still going strong with no problems.

If I would of known how nice this light is from the beginning, I would of just brought 4 of them and saved myself over 100 bucks, instead of getting the TK45, TK40, and the Polestar. But honestly I don't regret purchasing the TK40 and TK45, they both have served me well. iTP Polestar also have been good to me on many occasions.

Bottom line, I highly recommend this Fenix 35 flashlight! You'll love the performance and it's compact size.

This is my first LED flashlight. After reading many reviews and watching many vids, I decided on the Fenix TK35. The size is perfect and will fit most any hand. The form is awesome. The two switches on the tail just make sense. The main is simply on or off and the smaller button selects modes. Whatever mode (low, med, high or turbo) you turn it off in, is where it is when you turn it back on. The brightness levels make sense too. The medium will suffice a good majority of the time. The high is intense and the turbo mode at 820 whopping lumens will light up any situation. The throw is also incredible. I will be purchasing more Fenix lights as they are extremely well constructed and will not disappoint.

I purchased two of these lamps for a bedroom. The lamps arrived sooner than promised, well packed and sent via FedX. The lamps are beautiful. I'm very happy with them, however, I agree with the other reviewers regarding the shades. The ones that came with the lamps look cheap. I changed out the shades and am now completely happy with my purchase. The blue color is lighter than pictured, which I like as it makes the lamp look more expensive.

Honest reviews on Blue and White Porcelain Temple Jar Table Lamp

It isn't as nice as I hoped, but the price is pretty moderate, too. I am a sucker for blue and white procelain ware, although the quality is close to stoneware on this one. It is full size, takes up to a 150 watt bulb, but is not a three-way switch type. I may replace the shade, it is pretty average looking and a better looking shade would make a real difference. It works perfectly for where I needed it. It shipped and delivered promptly and was undamaged. You can take it right out of the box and use it, so overall, I would recommend it. It is a very good price for what it is.

Loved these lamps.

They were even nicer than expected with one exception....the shades. The shades are too stark white and cast a very cold light. I prefer a softer glow than these shades give. I liked the lamps too much to return them for that reason alone, so I exchanged the shades with the lamps I had been using in that room since they cast a warmer light. I would definitely recommend these beautiful lamps, especially to anyone who has other blue and white deco items to compliment.

They arrived even sooner then expected and were packed extremely well.

I purchased these lamps from visiondecor.com directly, but they do not allow anyone to review unreviewed items, even members (very curious indeed). After many lies, excuses, broken promises; I received my order after 38 days. The box packing (inside and out)was some of the best I have ever seen from anyone. Past that, the product was very poor. I really like the idea of the lamps, but the execution as a product is appalling. The paint on the product looks like it was done in a 5th grade art class, many unpainted spots, painted spots with the wrong color, scratches, paint drips (I'm not kidding, at the base there are dried drips). The shade is not a reddish color as the pictures indicate, it is a brown. It is a very thin cloth which upon examination shows that it will not last very long and will burn and rip (from bulb heat). The main lighting stem is crooked and cannot be bent straight, about a 10-15 degree deviation from vertical. The top screw down decorative piece for the shade is set crooked, about a 35 degree deviation from vertical and will not screw flat to secure the shade from movement. The shade supporting snap in bars are very VERY thin, they wobble, shake, and rattle around. If you blow hard at the shade itself, it will sway and shake because of this. Look somewhere else if you are looking for something decent, this is not even close. I was not expecting anything fantastic and perfect, but for the price, this product should be much better. I am in the process of sending these back. This is an unbiased review, I am not nit picking; just stating the facts. (:

I like these lamps and they were a very good price on sale. The shades come collapsed and that leaves wrinkles, but I thought I could iron them out (or steam). The beading around the bottom of the shade is a bit flimsy, but over all I think that I got a good deal and I like the way they look.

This is not a style that you see every day, so it caught my eye. I upgraded my put-it-together-yourself partical-board desk from Staples with a grown up version desk from Raymour & Flanigan so I wanted to add some class and purchase a real desk lamp as well. You can tilt the lamp, raise and lower the height, you don't roast as it does no throw off heat like some desk lamps I have had in the past. Very stylish and very pleased with my new desk lamp.

I bought this lamp to be used as a reading lamp next to a leather chair in the corner, the polished chrome reflector inside makes it really bright. The bronze painted finish is very nice, the weight is just right, it is dimensionally stable and the adjustable height is great. It looks like a more expensive lamp, you can find them elsewhere for twice what you pay on Amazon, but why? You may want to use a white frosted bulb to reduce glare, the one we are using (to use up) is clear which is overly bright.

It is a nice lamp, but quite oversize for a standard desk and is not very adaptable (as you cab guest for the design). Fortunately, it fits in my place.

The worst is that the lamp came with a big scratch. Additionally, it is not really well finished. So... ***, maybe better **, if we thinking that is not a cheap lamp.

I purchased this fan for a small bedroommaybe 9X13 in size? Installation was actually very easy. The fan weighs more than it looks but was still lighter than most larger ones. The installation kit was pretty much identical to any other fan and the install process was also the same except that the "light kit" comes preinstalled. Like several other reviewers I was momentarily puzzled about how the blades fasten to the motor, but happened to see the screwdriver slot on the underside of the light area. I wasn't sure at first if I was supposed to use it for fastening the blades, but I decided it would be easier than taking the thing apart. Ends up that's exactly what the slot was designed for. The only twist is that you must install the blades on the bracket before attaching the bracket to the motor unless you have access to the top of the blade after install. This is not possible in a low profile or direct to ceiling application.

My experience in real life with this fan was slightly disappointing. This thing looks like it would put out a nice amount of air, in reality it barely has any downdraft. I notice more air moving SIDEWAYS from the blades. (Not up against the ceiling and outSIDEWAYS from the plane of the blades. Very strange) The up/down switch on the unit does not change this. I was also disappointed to see the candelabra base bulb socket. Those candelabra bulbs don't last long. The first time I changed the bulb I accidentally dropped the bulb on the globe and broke the globe. The glass that the globe is made of is barely thicker than that of a lightbulbvery fragile. One other reviewer mentioned he has been unable to find a replacement globe. I also have been unable to find one.

I'll try to upload some pictures to the main product description.

Pros:

-Sharp looks

-Price

-Ease of installation

Cons:

-Vague instructions (although easy to figure out)

-not much downdraft air movement

-brittle glass globe

-Candelabra bulbs burn out quickly

-globe too small for CFL bulb

-No replacement globe easily found

-Really ugly without a globe

I have a very small bedroom. This fan is very small and quiet, yet generates alot of air. The light portion of the fan could be brighter, and is candleabra base, which is harder to find. Over all I'm happy with it.

I installed one of these fans in my bathroom (which has a window) and it works great. I hooked it right up to the light switch so when the light is on the fan is on (or you can pull chain it). lightbulb was not standard and wouldn't accept a compacr fluorescent due to size.

That guy who tried to "separate" the fan just doesn't know what he's doing. I set this thing up FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTIONS in about 30 minutes and it's an awsome fan. It's quiet and smooth and I 100% recommend it. I had some exta screws left over and the light is not very bright because it's a candelebra but still. . .4 stars.

I purchased this fan 5 years ago to improve ventilation in my bathroom. I live in the Caribbean where even with central air conditioning, it can still feel like a sauna after a cold shower! Unfortunately, like many of you I too experienced the globe shattering for no reason and for 2+ years searched high and low online and countless unsuccessful attempts to communicate with Westinghouse for a replacement.

Purely for cosmetic reasons, decided tonight that I was going to bite the bullet and purchase another tomorrow, 23 February.

However, I decided to try searching one final time (really don't want to replace a perfectly good fan just because of a broken light covering) to find a replacement globe and after an hour, found that elightbulbs sold replacement globes for this fan @ $5.00 each. BARGAIN!

Rarely do I leave reviews, but had to share this with all who purchased this fan in good faith and instead was cheated by a design flaw, with no solution from Westinghouse. Enjoy!

This lamp works very well. I needed a three way lamp and there were not that many options to pick from. This lamp I'd a three way and it looks good too. The only issue I have is it is a little light so it can be a little unsteady on carpeting. If it is on wood or tile floors there is no problem. Also the swing arm is great when you meant lightbulb those close up jobs and you need the extra light. Great buy.

The base of this lamp is a dark brown with lines of lighter brown and off-white swirled around the base, it is done in a matte finish and is quite nice. My one complaint about the base is that the pattern of swirling lines is not blended in well at the top back of the lamp, but this is the back of the lamp, so I suppose it's minor. The shade is a light beige color and has a linen-like pattern. I think it is made of either paper or a thin layer of fabric over paper. The shade is the type that fits around the neck of the lamp, below the bulb, so, it was a bit of a challenge to get the shade straight.

So, having given all the cons, let me say that it's very hard to find an inexpensive lamp these days. I paid 40$ each for these lamps, and I think it was worth it. These are much nicer than anything I saw at Target or the like. The size is very nice for a smaller table (or a narrow one) and they are attractive and fairly neutral.

The dimensions are missing in the description:

Height: 27.5"

Width: 5"

Shade: 13.5" H x 9" W

I use this as a bedside lamp, and I really like it. I have a small room, and it's not too overpowering.

Just as an FYI, the colors are slightly different from the picture. To me, in the picture, the base looks almost black, and the shade looks white-ish. In reality, the shade is more beige/tan, and with the bulb that comes in the package, when it's on, the shade glows very yellow, not white. And the base is a very dark brown-ish (which you could probably guess since it's called "dark bronze" -it's what you think you would get, but like I said, the photo makes it look almost black).

I gave this four stars only because the way the shade attaches to the lamp is delicate and the shades are crooked occasionally. Otherwise it is a really nice lamp for the price, comes with a bulb, and matches my decor perfectly.

Honest reviews on Lite Source LS-2997 Quatro Table Lamp, Brushed Dark Bronze

For the price, Not worth it. The shape of the lamp is too narrow. I would have liked a wider base and shade. I kept it because I didn't want to hassle with sending it back.

This is a good product that delivers what it promises. Even at lower speeds, there is considerable air circulation in a 200 sq. ft. room.

The fan is solidly constructed with quality metal parts throughout. It feels substantial.

Trouble started when it came to installing the blades. The compact nature of the fan requires you to mount the fan blades only after installing the main body to the ceiling. So have to be some sort of acrobat to get underneath it, hold the blade with the balancing weight so that the pre-drilled screw holes are aligned -after sliding both peices in from the side, not the bottom. Then you have to hold the blade and weight steady in one hand while simultaneously screwing in the screw the driver/drill upside-down with the other hand. I had to go away from the directions and improvise. And you have to do this 3 times (one time for each blade)!

I've installed dozens of ceiling fans and this one was going swimmingly up until the blade installation. I would say on average, I can install a larger fan in about 30 minutes--45 minutes on the high side. This took about 2 hours after finally landing on an improvised routine to get the blades in.

When you have a room where a conventional ceiling fan doesn't fit, this is good substitute.

When you're directly underneath, the airflow is very good. However, when you aren't, the breeze isn't nearly as noticable. For a large room, I wouldn't bother.

The fan is small enough to fit in a hallway; we ended up mounting ours in close proximity to our hanging pot rack (there was no other fan that would make both usable at the same time) and we were pleased.

Installation was a bit of a pain: the wires leading from the motor were about eight feet long and had to be cut. The manual indicated that I should be able to mount the top and have the rest on the ground with wires hanging down and have room to work, but that's a dream. Plus I had to trim the wires to get them to fit in the casing. Another obvious con is that the instructions weren't written well at all, which is surprising because Monte Carlo is a great company. Lots of pictures do not make for clear directions.

The fan is almost directly over our kitchen table, and when leaves were taken out to seat eight, everyone felt a nice breeze.

The fan is quiet too -even on the highest setting. I was worried that the light kit wouldn't be bright enough (read: candelabra bulbs) as I use fluorescents whenever I can, but I didn't have any issues at all. I'm really pleased with this fan.

The bottom line is when the situation calls for it, this fan is excellent. It would be great in a bathroom or a wide hallway, but if another fan will work, don't pick this one up.

Incidently, we got ours from Lowe's for $70, and it included the light kit.

I purchased this fan to go in my bathroom during a recent remodel. My contractor thought I was nuts to try and fit a ceiling fan into my small bathroom (approx. 10 ft by 10ft). However, after he installed it he kept going on and on about how perfect it was for the space. This was one of my favorite updates during this remodel.

The size is just perfect for a small space. I was worried that it would just fill the space and dominate the room, but it doesn't at all. Do not hesitate to get this fan. FYI, there is an option that is not listed in the details to install the fan with no downrod whatsoever. I went with that option and it is perfect for my 8 ft ceiling.

I bought this same with an included light kit at Lowes for about $130 I think. I have a very small galley type kitchen and with a regular fan every time I opened my cabinet it hit the fan blades.. Uuugh. So this little midget fan was perfect for the space.

I already had a fan hooked up, so it was very simple to take the old fan down and replace it with this one. The directions probably aren't the best but I had already watched a youtube video concering how to replace a fan so it was actually pretty easy. you can hang the fan on the bracket before actually connecting all the wires so you don't need to have anyone holding the fan or helping. The wires are long so you'll need to trim them down a lot unless for some reason you need like 8 foot worth of wires.

The air output on this was pretty surprising to me. It gives a lot of air for its size. I have to turn it down to low when I cook otherwise it sometimes blows out one of the burners on my gas stove but the air will mostly move straight down in a pretty small area. Obviously a larger fan will likely give you a better airflow over a larger area but if you have a small space, hallway, or size limitations due to cabinets etc, like I did, then this may be perfect for you. (I do suggest going with a lighting kit though)

PRO's: size fit in my small kitchen and it really moves the air, quiet

CON's: very poor installation instructions, very difficult to assemble, finally gave up trying to balance the fan so it didn't wobble

CAUTION's: you might want to check the electrical box if you plan to install it in an existing fixture. My vintage condo had a small pancake box which necesitated about $200 worth of electrical work. I bought this with a Monte Carlo light kit, and between the purchase cost and installation problems with it and the fan, I ended up with a $572.81 fan and light. In spite of it all, I'm glad I have it and recommended it to a neighbor of mine

I'm very pleased with the nice cool bright light that this kitchen light provides. But, it didn't come with instructions so it was a challenge to install. It required a couple of emails and internet research to figure out how to install it, but I like it now.

I wanted a three bulb fixture for my kitchen to replace an old 2 bulb unit. I liked it so much I ordered a second one for my garage.

Having the three bulbs does make a big difference.

We recently purchased the Avant Eco ceiling fan which we love but unfortunately it doesn't come with a light kit (for almost $500 you would think it would). Emerson doesn't have very many ceiling fan light kit choices and I really wanted to dress up the fan and make it stand out. I searched all over the internet and considered several "universal" light kits including a few funky chandelier light kits (which I wish someone would make more of). I am pleased that we chose this kit b/c it has a nice smooth finish and is the perfect size for the fan nice and substantial without being overwhelming. It comes with energy efficient light bulbs which are nice and bright. I ordered the brushed steel finale light kit and it matches the ceiling fan perfectly. Be careful that you order the right kit for your fan though because they don't come with a bunch of generic finales like some kits do just the finish you order it in. The only negative thing that I have to say is that it came with a really ugly piece for the pull cord which we are replacing. Overall, we would definitely buy this kit again. In fact, I am actually planning to buy another one to go in our guest room on another emerson fan to replace the swirled kit on it. This one is really classy and beautiful. Finally, we received it SO FAST it was shipped and delivered in about 4 days which was 3 weeks sooner than the estimate emailed to us! Thank you!

This product is beautiful and looks exactly as I expected it to, but I ran into issues installing it. Instructions make it seem as though it will work fine even if you are not screwing the mounting pieces into studs, but it is so heavy that when I installed into drywall with anchors as instructed, it slanted forward and created a big bulge in the drywall around the mounting piece. Placing towels on top of it added to the weight and the issue was compounded. Make sure you have sturdy backing before you attempt to install.

The Gatco Latitude II line is a great addition to our remodeled bathroom. We wnated something up-to-date, masculine, and classic. This rack is sturdy, although a bit hotel-like it offers great functionality in a bathroom with little storage space.

Another nicely done piece from Gatco. This product series is a nice departure from the millions of traditional decorator items in inventory at the big box stores. In fact, all of accessories for both of our bathrooms are from this product line. As far as towel racks go, this one is smaller than you might find in a typical hotel bathroom. But it feels right at home in our guest bathroom. It's a snap to install, and it suits our needs to a Tee.

Honest reviews on Gatco 4297 Latitude II Minimalist Towel Rack, Satin Nickel

I purchased one of the repackaged towel racks from "Warehouse" so I managed to save some cash while essentially receiving the same product. The only thing missing was the hardware, which wasn't an issue because I had plenty of my own. I identified two studs in the the wall corner in the bathroom over the toilet that were the perfect distance and used a pencil to mark around the two disks where the rack attaches to the wall. Drilled the brackets into the studs and had the rack up in no time. Once the rack is fully tightened, it feels very solid against the wall and holds several full size and hand towels. We like the look and the space-saving element. I would advise to use the strongest anchors you can find if you can't place in studs, as that is the difference of whether or not it will hold up.

This is a an attractive contemporary towel rack that looks true to its advertised picture. The only drawback is that it's bolted to the wall with a single screw, and it isn't as capable of holding as many towels as a double bolted rack. It does however hold at least 4 bath towels easily on the top shelf.
