The main vertical pole consists of several tube elements that screw together. The fit of the joints is poor, the tubes themselves bend, and the end result when assembled is that the entire lamp bends under the weight of the arm that arcs out to the lamp. In addition, our base, which has a counter-weight within it, started to delaminate almost immediately after assembly and the entire lamp would fall forward if we did not place a weight on the base itself. This is the worst-quality lamp I've ever owned.

The base is too small to adequately support the weight of the arch and shade, especially on carpet. The arch does not fully complete and the bulb is left to stick out at an awkward angle.

The lamp was received with a piece broken. The manufacturer sent a new piece out so a week later we finally were able to put it together. Would have been nice to not have broken pieces. Once assembled, the lamp was fine and fit perfectly where we intended it.

Lots of light where you want it. I use it over my table in lieu of an overhead light and am very happy. A little time-consuming and frustrating to put together, but worth the trouble.
