Hopefully Amazon will remove this IF they fix the issue of their description! If you look on other sites you will find that THIS MODEL NUMBER with this light says on ALL other websites that it is HARDWIRED!! This light does NOT PLUG INTO THE WALL.... Why the caps?? I called Amazon prior to ordering and was told that it does plug into the wall.

The light itself arrived in good condition and it is much better in appearance than the photo. it is large and would work perfectly in my kitchen however I need to plug it in!

I purchased this item to use on my dinning room; however, it does not look nice. It is not dimmable, so I could not use it. The glass looks solid, but the green of the glass makes it look cheap. Not worth the price, you can find much better for a better price.

Installed new Symmons hand held in shower but the original hose rusted within a year, called Symmons who sent replacement hose, which also rusted after 6 months. Gave up on Symmons and ordered this American Standard hose as a replacement. Fits perfectly and seems to be of good quality. Seats perfectly in the Symmons holder.

I tried a Toto hose before this American Standard. The quality and weight of the Toto hose was amazing. Unfortunately, the Toto hose had a slightly different threading from my Symmons handheld but could be made to work without leaking if tightened hard. BUT chrome collar on Toto would not seat properly in the holder. It was too big and kept falling out.

The American Standard fit perfectly all around. If the finish holds up over time I will give this 5 stars. Until then I will rate it 4 stars.

The lamp is poorly weighted...falls over if extended too far...lamp fell apart...connecting bolt in head too short...had to go to hardware store and get parts to rebuild it...ONLY reason we kept it was the wife liked the overall look.

These are wonderful CFLs! They are 12/22/33 watt CFLs with light output equivalent to 50/100/150 in incandescents. All 6 were delivered in-tact, none broke in shipment like many other cfl packs I've bought (each bulb is individually packaged in its own box, inside of a larger box).

I use all 6 of them in pedestal lamps around my home and office. 3 of them are constantly on, and have been for about 6 months now, putting them around 4,500 hours of usage. The other ones are used less often. None of them have failed, dimmed, or shown any indication of premature failure.

I like having low lighting in my office for the most part (12w mode), then the ability to switch up to 33w whenever I need to. Such an improvement over having single wattage cfl's that I've used exclusively in the past. It also saves more energy, because you dont always need the extra wattage/brightness so you can turn it down during normal activity. Of course you pay for it in premium for purchasing the bulbs, so cost savings I don't know if it's there. I paid a little under 30 bucks for these bulbs, which makes the 5 a piece fairly expensive for a CFL. However, if they do last the 10k hours, then I would say they last longer then most CFL's as well (maybe by twice). So far the failure rate is lower then a few other packages of bulbs I've tried on here from Amazon.

All in all a great bulb, and very functional 3-way adjustment that is well worth the up-front premium.

Wasn't sure how large to get a ceiling medallion that would complement a 56" fan. Turns out that it doesn't really matter since both big & small medallions gives each fan that extra sophisticated look, no matter how big or small. For more heightened drama however, I might go for a larger (say....32-inch) medallion the next time around. Especially if it's in a larger family room with an open concept to the kitchen. However this 22-inch Minka Aire medallion turned out to be stunning with the Monte Carlo 5SBR56 Strasburg 56 Inch Ceiling Fan in British Bronze. Lots of compliments from everyone who visits.

I purchased this lamp mainly because it folded up flat for easy moving (as I'm in college, space is important). The lamp has 5 different brightness levels (controlled via TOUCHPAD!). The LEDs are very bright and light up my entire desk quite well.

Con:

The only con I have is that the lamp head is kind of loose, so it's hard to keep it from folding down on itself sometimes. It takes a few times to get it to stay at your preferred angle. Not too much of a con, but can be annoying if a nudge the lamp hard enough and the head just folds in.

Overall a good purchase (as I desperately needed to get a desk lamp), and I definitely recommend this lamp!

Styling: Aesthetic and functional style of this lamp is amazing. I love the accent colors along the top and the colored touch pad. The ac to dc transformer is small enough that it doesn't obstruct other plugs, a huge plus. Did I mention it has a touch pad? Fancy!

Efficiency/ Energy use: My killawat measures a 12 watt pull at full power a bit more than the description claims but still just a fraction of the pull from its halogen powered predecessor.

Potential negatives:

Light colorThe light has a definite blue color to it. I don't see this as a problem, but buyers should be aware as many have a strong preference toward warm light spectrum, this is most certainly on the cold side.

FingerprintsThe entire black surface of the lamp is high gloss, and a finger print magnet. After only a day of use it's covered in them. I don't see this as a problem but again, that's personal preference.

CostDang, this thing is costly, I mean yeah, it looks great, but it's a desk lamp. I'm still trying to justify to myself why I spent this much.

All in all, I'm satisfied. I reserve 5 star ratings only for phenomenal products. Don't get me wrong, this is a great product and I'm very satisfied and would recommend it.

The good? This is a bright LED lamp with modern styling. The multiple dim settings are nice. The bad? Dollar store quality manufacturing (made in China of course)... The case is made of cheap, glossy black plastic. The arm doesn't lock in place and is very loose and easy to knock out of position. The power connector is also loose and moving the lamp can easily shut it off (even if the power adapter is connected). The touch controls are kind of neat, but that also makes it easy to hit the wrong thing.

This light goes perfect with our craftsman bungalow. There really isn't any other light like it and this one is perfect. The clear "water" glass pictured here isn't as wavy as when you see it in person. I thought it would have been more wavy and hoped it would've helped to cast a softer glow when using 100W bulb but its much too bright. I want to be able to see the beautiful light fixture and not be blinded. But a lower watt bulb will fix that so I still consider the light perfect. Its also very popular it seems because I had quite an ordeal ordering this light, Geroy's was the final seller I got it from but before them, I tried 2 other places that fell through due to backordered inventory and miscommunication. But Geroy's was a smooth process with good communication. All in all, we got it, we love it and now we are ordering the rest of the entire collection. This light here, we put next to our back patio door because we needed its small compact size (fits perfectly). We are ordering the larger one for our front door, the post light for our front walkway and the pendant light for our mudroom. Can't wait for them all to arrive!

My mother received two "ginger jar" lamps from my father when he was in Vietnam (1968). She had these turned into lamps with the appropriate wiring and lamp shades. When I inherited these lamps, there was much work to be done to them. For one thing, the wiring had to be replaced -one lamp blew a fuse the very day that I moved into my home. So, I acquired the re-wiring kits from Amazon.com (a great deal!). Next, we needed shades. Much as I love my mother, she was extremely tight with the nickel, if you will. I don't think I have ever known anyone as good with money as she was. . . Unfortunately, the lamp shades that she had for these lamps were worn out, inappropriate, and (yes) even the wrong color. I waited and searched on Amazon.com for something that would work with these lamps -and learning about lamp sizing along the way. This shade was perfect! And the price was even better. . . something I could live with. The whole living room takes on a different -and improved -feel with these lamp shades. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to enliven a room.

Usually a wait a while longer to write a review because there hasn't been enough time passed for any "glitches" to show up yet, but there were a couple of things you might want to know about right away that set this seller above most others here on Amazon and another broker house I use "***line". I was surprised when I got to the end of my checkout and the "standard shipping" really DOES mean 3-5 days, and not 30 like every one else out there. (I still don't understand how their adds can say "standard shipping" and that means a slow boat from China. I own several "Tactical" flashlights, so I am used to paying a little more than Wal-Mart bargain pricing. In fact I have (make that had) one that was over 200.00. That one didn't work after the first month that I had it so needless to say it went back with no "nice" words about it. A person doesn't pay 100 or 200 for a flashlight, and then say "oh well" when it doesn't work. You pay that kind of money when you want to KNOW it's going to work EVERY TIME! This lamp is actually a little larger than I thought it was going to be, but for the flood lamp that it puts out, I'm not going to sweat it.

Speaking of the lamp capabilities, I really do think you will be impressed with this one. You know how you read about flashlights that will put light on something all the way across a football field? Well.... this one will light the whole field up, not just get across it.

I"ll check back with "ya'll" in a couple of months to a year and tell you if it still works as well. That's the biggest problem I have had with all the "tactical" lamps, is they (some of them) don't work RELIABLY after a couple of months. And like I said, paying out the big bucks, I absolutely insist they are perfect, not just, "kind of sort of it will do" type of OK.
