Well, I just installed the new fan and found it to be fairly easy to install. It is running very quietly and looks very nice. Big problem is you can't attach a standard ceiling fan light kit. I found this out when I was almost finished with the installation. The switch for the fan and all the housing for the wiring is tucked inside what they call the "upper switch housing". There isn't any plate at the bottom of this housing to attach a fan kit. The Amazon ad did say the light kit is sold separately, but I just (Stupidly) assumed they meant a "standard" fan light kit which I already had. Be fore-warned.

This fan was of bad quality and finish. I returned this product. The store that I purchased from was very good to deal with and I would buy from them again.

I love the hunter brand. They are very quiet and powerful. I bought two fans and they were half price because they were open box. Other than damage to the box, they were perfect. I would never buy any brand except Hunter. They cost a little more but they are worth the difference. There is never any hum or any noise. This was an awesome bargain. Thank you Amazon.

in my 600 sq. ft. living room I've found this classic Hunter fan to be ideal on a penny pincher's dime. i'm talking 100 degrees max and sitting within 8 feet of the fan, but that's easy in most rooms.
