This shade is a 16", which I thought was height--but that was width. I need a 16" high shade, not 13" high.

The shade uses high quality materials and the price is an a testament to that fact. However the craftsmanship is disappointing due to puckering at a corner causing two sides to show wrinkles. I have to corner the lamp to hide the sides. I buy online all the time, ar and I am seldom disappointed with what I order. If I could have found a red pagoda shade locally, I would do that before buying something this delicate, sight unseen. Quality materials and good shape, just a error in pulling the material around the corner, but I feel quality control should have pulled it or it should have been labeled at a second.

I ordered the wall mount faucet from Plumbers Surplus. It arrived quickly easy to install. But the hot water valve was cracked at the base and it leaked. I e-mailed the vendor and had a replacement cartridge in four days. Works great now without having to take it off the wall.

Good magnification, decent lighting.. but the articulating arms are just too cheaply designed and weak, making it impossible to adjust the position of the lens easily, if you adjust them too far out then it can't bear the weight of the head anymore.

I recommend the 'daylight slimline magnifying mirror' instead, it has a much more substantial design and also enclosed springs.

Purchased the LSM197 blk the lamp works fine but cannot find a replacement bulb for the lamp it takes a T-5 22W mfg does not provide info on a replacement bulb so if bulb blows you might have to buy and new set up because replacement bulb not available..

This is not a style that you see every day, so it caught my eye. I upgraded my put-it-together-yourself partical-board desk from Staples with a grown up version desk from Raymour & Flanigan so I wanted to add some class and purchase a real desk lamp as well. You can tilt the lamp, raise and lower the height, you don't roast as it does no throw off heat like some desk lamps I have had in the past. Very stylish and very pleased with my new desk lamp.

I bought this lamp to be used as a reading lamp next to a leather chair in the corner, the polished chrome reflector inside makes it really bright. The bronze painted finish is very nice, the weight is just right, it is dimensionally stable and the adjustable height is great. It looks like a more expensive lamp, you can find them elsewhere for twice what you pay on Amazon, but why? You may want to use a white frosted bulb to reduce glare, the one we are using (to use up) is clear which is overly bright.

It is a nice lamp, but quite oversize for a standard desk and is not very adaptable (as you cab guest for the design). Fortunately, it fits in my place.

The worst is that the lamp came with a big scratch. Additionally, it is not really well finished. So... ***, maybe better **, if we thinking that is not a cheap lamp.

First, let me start by saying I was excited to receive this lamp. I thought it would be cool, hip, and look fabulous in my new living room. However, that excitement quickly turned to disappointment as I started to assemble it ... and yes, it was exactly according to the directions given. Not to mention, if you look at it the wrong way, it scratches very easily. Also, good luck trying to put the base on ... if you don't experience total frustration, I will be surprised. Also, if you haven't scratched it up thus far, you will now. Once I stood it up vertically, it looks nice but don't touch it unless you have to. It's very wobbly. Yey. Not worth the $150.00 but maybe just $.50. Ugh.

I bought two of these, and I will say up front that they are sturdy and gorgeous. The one complaint involves the assembly process. It is difficult to attach the legs to the base. My son and I tried for an hour, then gave up. I finished the next night with another person's help. There is some sort of washer that doesn't fit around the bolt as well as it should, and the nut is difficult to thread onto the bolt. Sounds like it should be easy, I know, but it took a while. Here's a tip -you'll have to hold the lamp upside down to even attempt to attach the base, hence the need for two people. Again -these are really nice lamps, just have a friend ready and willing to help you with assembly.

The finished product is sturdy, stylish and a good value. Getting there requires patience and fune-tuning. As a veteran of dozens of difficult builds (Scandinavian furniture to elliptical machines), I've seen it all. This is a pretty straight-forward assembly. It can almost be done without reading the instructions. The primary frustration comes with attaching the lower supports to the base. This requires a few minutes of adjusting rods within the supports. The length of these rods is accomplished by simple righty-tighty, lefty-loosey adjustments. More lefty-loosey is needed to get the rods to pass thru the base in order to attach the securing washers/nuts. That's a little time-consuming, but my main beef is if you're not careful, you'll scratch-up the base while tweaking the rods and trying to get them in the base. My suggestion is to put masking tape around the base holes until everything has been bolted together. Once assembled, this lamp looks really sharp.

I have to agree and disagree with the previous reviewer. Yes, this item takes a bit of work to put together and even after, I noticed that it wobbled. However, I recently went to work on it again and tightened a loose bolt in the base and it is better than ever. The lamp is solid and quite beautiful. I have both the floor and desk version and they look great. Be patient, tighten everything well and you'll be rewarded.

This lamp was not what I expected. Like all the reviews it was pain to put together(and I've assembled a lot of furniture), but after finally getting it done I didn't like it at all. It seemed top heavy and cheap. Also, it's BLACK not bronze as the description states. Going back immediately.

For anyone curious if you want to buy down-rods for this fan you have to special order them for Lowe's or Home Depot it requires a 1/2" diameter down-rod....the standard ones sold at Lowe's/HD are 3/4". Also although the specs say that this fan can be mounted in multi positions the hardware included does not allow it to be mounted on a vaulted ceiling I had to purchase a seperate mounting canopy so that it could be mounted on my vaulted ceiling. The fan is quite and seems to work well at the highest speed it really gets moving and pushes a lot of air around.

We were looking for a more modern design fan to go in the baby's room and decided to give this one a try. The fan itself has been working well for almost a year now, no undue noise or issues. It's actually quieter than other fans in our house that cost 2-3x's as much. My only complaint would be the desire for a remote or a dimming function, but for the price, it's a great little fan.

I purchased this model to replace an old ceiling fan in the master bedroom that had its motor burn out after 20+ years of operation. It was relatively easy to install, but did represent a bit of a challenge to install on a vaulted ceiling & at an angle because of the size & weight.........nothing that can't be overcome, but it is helpful to have a second person available to hold or steady the unit on the ladder while making the electrical connections. Directions are easy to follow & installation can be completed in an afternoon. It is a beautiful fan & is extremely quiet in operation, probably the overriding reason to purchase a Hunter fan such as this. The price on Amazon was far more reasonable than any retail store location that I could identify.

I have 6 Hunter fans in my home from building it 8 years ago. Recently I added 2 upstairs rooms and tried to find Hunter fans that take 4 60 watt standard base bulbs. GOOD LUCK! THESE FANS SUCK! The 4 40 watt bulbs barely put off any light. I like my rooms bright not like I'm living in the 1800's and the fan speed sucks. On these fans high speed is equal to my old Hunter fans second speed. and forget about using slow speed you might as well have your dog panting in the room it will produce more airflow!

This is the 4th ceiling fan I've purchased in the last few months for the renovation of our 1920's DC rowhouse, and I only wish I had decided on this model sooner -it would have saved me a lot of time and hassle and money on buying a few different and usually cheaper models that have not worked out nearly as well.

We first bought two fans together at Lowe's (Hampton Bay I think?) for a bedroom and a sleeping porch and I was totally dismayed at how terrible their installation was designed. They depended on the small base cover -which is almost the size of the electrical box/mount in the ceiling itself -mounting flush on the ceiling to keep them from wobbling, rather than the way these Hunter fans mount: with a wide substantial bracket spanning the box mount and screwing down hard to the ceiling over the box. That way, the cover is merely decorative, and the fan is securely fastened to a hearty bracket that will not move.

This model has the most sturdy mount of any of the 3 models of fans I've tried out in our house to this point. And as a result, this fan is the most quiet, wobble-free fan that I've found yet. It's a few bucks more than the models we found at Lowe's and on Amazon (second was a Westinghouse I think), but it is totally worth the expense in the feel of quality and the strength of the mount.

After installing 3 different other models that all started wobbling on "high" moments after installation, this baby silently started blowing papers and all other loose materials all over our sleeping porch when I installed it the first time and put it on high, without so much as a wiggle in the fan. And zero noise. (That was the 44" white model, this 52" model went up in our living room two weeks ago after that great experience.) Pardon the pun, but we were blown away by how silent and smooth the operation was. The 44" has been up for a few months and it's as quiet as day one, and I assume the 52" model will be the same in six months and years to come.

My only gripe would be the same as at least one other reviewer: the 3" brass screws for mounting the master bracket to the ceiling are super soft and will almost certainly bend before you get them flush into the bracket. Both times I installed one of these, I drilled the pilot holes and the screws still bent about halfway in and then started to strip. After getting them out, I grabbed 2" metal screws from the basement and used those instead. Part of the problem may be with the recommended bit size for the pilot holes -you could try upping the bit size to the next larger size and see if that helps.

Also, if you're looking at the add-on remotes by other manufacturers, the "Universal Ceiling Fan Remote Control Kit" (which appears to be 3rd party but it's actually manufactured by Hampton Bay) worked with this fan no problem. Fits right in the base cover.

Highly recommend this fan, and looking at getting 3 more to replace the other three shite fans we got from the big boxes.

I'd give this product five stars if it still worked after 5 months. The pull chain for toggling the lights was cheaply made. Its nice to leave the fan going on hot nights but obviously you want the light off to sleep. Well that's not an issue anymore after one day the pull chain just stopped working altogether. Now I'm REALLY saving energy but I guess I'll need to fix this which is pretty inconvenient. For how durable everything about this is, its disappointing that they made the pull chain so cheap.

These lamps really put out a lot of light. I am lighting an equipment lot about 60x80 and it is well-lit. The down side to these is the cheap hardware. The retaining ring used to tighten the mounting arm will break with little pressure. To replace it you need to disconnect the wires and remove the base, put a new lock ring on and re-attach the base and connect the wires. Its frustrating after getting to the end of the installation and then needing to do it all over again. Just throw away the retaining ring and replace it with a good one before you install the lamp.

First off, the shipping was fast and prompt, packaging was excellent.

The metal halide fixture itself is quite heavy but sturdy. It may look a bit chunky, but when I plugged everything in I fell in love with the lighting. For 100 watts at ~5k lumens, the light that the metal halide produces is remarkably bright. The only downside is it takes a bit of time for the light to get brighter, but once it does, the color if light is beautiful: it is a warm bright pale yellow-white. It makes everything look warmer.

I loved it so much I decided to buy another to add to our pool.

I bought this to replace a 500 watt halogen fixture on the peak of my garage (it is used to light up the driveway). For some reason, the halogen bulbs kept failing and I'd have to lug the ladder out and risk breaking my neck to replace it every month or so. I decided to give this light a try considering its brightness and much lower power usage (100 watt versus 500 watt). I went outside tonight to test it out. Holy smokes! Not only can I play basketball at night in my driveway, but now I can do the same in my neighbor's driveway across the street. My kids think the neighbors are going to be mad that their house and yard are lit up too!

I didn't experience the poor retaining ring mentioned by another reviewer...it installed easily and seems sturdy and well built (I cannot speak for longevity at this point).

As with Metal Halides, the light does take a couple minutes to reach full brightness...something to consider. However, considering the additional light and much lower power consumption, I'm going to accept the startup time.

I recommend this light and am ordering another to replace the backyard halogen too.
