The Lighting Ever 56W LED Flood Light Warm White is a very solidly built outdoor floodlight, Of course, it could be used indoors as well, but it is rated IP65 Waterproof so is very suitable for outdoor use.

The floodlight has an aluminum housing that seems well built. I am not 100% certain, but the hardware seems like it could be stainless steel. The front of the floodlight is tempered glass.

Electrical hookup is relatively easy but you do need to know that the light is wired using IEC standards where Brown is Line, Green/Yellow is Ground and Blue is Neutral. US National Electrical Code specifies White or Gray for the Neutral, bare copper, green, or green with yellow stripe for the protective ground and usually black or red are the Line. A 20" pigtail with bare wire end comes off the light. You will either have to wire this up yourself or have an electrician do it.

The LED's have a 50,000 estimated lifespan so this is a great choice for outside lighting where access to the light may be difficult.

The Warm White LED is 3000K... more of a yellowish white. I actually prefer the Warm White, because it is a warmer color temperature. The 6000K LED has a much "cooler" color and appears much more bluish white. In my video I compare the two color temperatures so you can see the difference, Please note that the 6000K light I use as comparison is the 35W version of this floodlight so it is not quite as bright... but the color temperature is what I'm comparing not the brightness.

I'm quite pleased with the quality and performance of this LED floodlight. As long as it holds up over time, it will earn its rating. I will update my review should it be necessary.

This flood light is very bright and covers a large area. Overall it provides very good lighting as shown in attached photos.

However, be aware that this light's wiring follows European standards rather than American/Canadian electrical wiring code standards. The wire colors uses IEC (International electro-technical commission) rather than US national electrical codes.

Before installing this flood light we had had to figure out the wire color coding:

In this flood light neutral wire is blue (American standard is white)

In this flood light hot wire is brown (American standard is black or red)

In this flood light ground wire is green/yellow (American standard is green or green/yellow)

The light included a wire coupler, American wiring standards typically use wire nuts. My husband replaced the supplied wire coupler with wire nuts, and also had to strip the wires more (about 1/2 inch from the original 1/8 inch).

The package came without mounting hardware or washers. It also has no motion detector. We purchased a separate motion detector which we mounted right under the flood light (you can see it as a separate unit right under the flood light in the photos that show the flood light mounted). The cost of the motion detector and mounting hardware was $30.

My husband said that the flood light was a bit difficult to work with because it is fairly large (dimensions below). The total project took him 1.5 hours, which included removing the old fixture, figuring out the color coding, and mounting the new flood light.

How I calculated incandescent equivalent

In my description above I am using efi.org lumen equivalents to calculate the power of the incandescent light this LED light replaces rather than the information provided by the manufacture. I believe EFI numbers are more accurate in giving a consumer an idea of the brightness they will get.

EFI standards are:

60 watts is 890 lumens

270 watts is 4000 lumens

How I calculated cost savings

When we use 1000 watts for 1 hour we used a kilowatt-hour.

The formula to figure the cost of running a device:

wattage x hours used ÷ 1000 x price per kWh = cost of electricity

Assuming usage of one flood light 1 hour a day each day for 1 year and the cost of electricity 0.12 cents per kwh

270w Incandescent bulb ~~~ $0.97 per month, $11.64 per year

56w LED bulb ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ $0.20 per month, $2.40 per year

I received this flood light from Lighting EVER to help them introduce this new product in US market by sharing my experiences with it with other potential customers. The only issue we ran into was the electrical wire color codes, and I hope my review will save your some leg work in figuring out the the color codes. This thing puts out heaps of light (considering it's only 56 watt and a single light) and it's definitely well made but depending on what your electricity rates are, it may not be economically viable compared with equivalent halogen lights.

Don't be taken in by the huge "hour" ratings they put on LED's either there's absolutely no guarantee they'll last as long as an incandescent bulb and it may end up costing you much more.

In essence, LED pricing needs to come down to justify the switch from incandescent/halogen.

There's really not a lot to add that wasn't already covered in Ali Julia and M. Erb's reviews... which are tough acts to follow.

My chief take-aways are as follows:

The light angle seems to be about 160 degrees, and so provides ample, bright coverage for about 30 yards out.

Wiring coloring isn't standard for US pay close attention to the information laid out by Ali Julia and M. Erb (brown: line; blue: neutral; green/yellow: ground)

Mounting requires some creativity if you're mounting to a house's eaves overhang, as the heat-sink makes the chassis a little deep and therefore difficult to turn at an angle if necessary. I used some galvanized piping to extend the light away from the house which, if done "well", isn't unattractive.

After installation, I'm pleased with the light both in function and in practicality. I initially held off on purchasing more (project is to replace all the flood lights around the house) until I could vet this one... pulling the trigger to order more, now!

For anyone curious if you want to buy down-rods for this fan you have to special order them for Lowe's or Home Depot it requires a 1/2" diameter down-rod....the standard ones sold at Lowe's/HD are 3/4". Also although the specs say that this fan can be mounted in multi positions the hardware included does not allow it to be mounted on a vaulted ceiling I had to purchase a seperate mounting canopy so that it could be mounted on my vaulted ceiling. The fan is quite and seems to work well at the highest speed it really gets moving and pushes a lot of air around.

We were looking for a more modern design fan to go in the baby's room and decided to give this one a try. The fan itself has been working well for almost a year now, no undue noise or issues. It's actually quieter than other fans in our house that cost 2-3x's as much. My only complaint would be the desire for a remote or a dimming function, but for the price, it's a great little fan.

Loved the look of this chandelier. My husband and I tried to assemble it today, and had a hard time getting it to attach it to the ceiling. After two hours we were able to rig it to fit. After that we thought we were in the clear. We then noticed some of the eye hook pieces were missing from the metal base, making it hard to attach crystals. Another hour or so later we were finally done. Overall we like the chandelier, but we have decided if our daughter ever wants to change this light, she will have to do it herself :o) Overall happy with the speed and delivery from the seller, minus the missing pieces.

The crystals were not packaged with the light. Now I have to go thru the hassle of getting the crystals.

I contacted Amazon and a very helpful lady straightened out everything. I now have another chandelier complete with crystals having returned the deficient one. I am very pleased with the Amazon person who helped me.

I love the way this chandelier turned out in my daughter's nursery. It's a little on the small size but proportional to the room, so I wouldn't recommend it for a big room.

However, if you don't like puzzles then you won't like putting the crystals on the chandelier together. I found the best way to start is by separating the crystal pieces before attaching them, there's lines with 6,8 and 10 crystals on them so you'll need to count those and seperate them accordingly before attaching them to the base. And they provide extra pieces just in case.

Overall, I was quite pleased with the look and quality if this chandelier.

Yes you read that right... we put this in our guest bathroom. It is a smash hit there though I tweaked it (see below).

This is a small SNOW WHITE, simple but very cute chandelier. The assembly was easy. I don't really get how people had a tough time with this. I flipped it upside down, attached the innermost parts first then gradually worked my way down the outside and when I got to the end flipped it right-side up and finished it off. I hung the final middle crystal after installation, which was easier to do once the light bulb was in.

Now, the reason it is a 4 not a 5 start item:

This is not a "french" white.... if like me, you assume that this means more of an off white or creamy white you will find that this is simply not the case. It is stark white.

How I addressed this issue was with a antique gold oil paint stick that I rubbed and smudged all over the frame of this light. I then got a ceiling plate that was decorative painted it white and rubbed the same antique gold on the accents of the plate. This made this little chandelier into a 10!

So, with a little effort this thing can go from cute to stunning. But be aware it is White WHITE.

I love this lamp, it sets a very soft mood in my home. Because the lamp holds 4 bulbs I put 4 20 watt bulbs in it for a soft look. I have received so many compliments from friends who see it. The lace didn't look as "pearly" as I was hoping (or is shown in the picture) it looks more like ruffles, almost like what you'd find on a wedding dress. Still, absolutely gorgeous lamps! I have one on either side of an ivory couch with gold pillows and a white throw, underneath a gold mirror, and they make the living room look like a 5-star hotel. They put off a soft yet bright ambiance. Love them!

They look very luxurious on the picture. This is what I expected to get, to beautify my living room. Instead, I got something that looked like a craft project wire carcass, chip fabric around it and then the ruffles are hot-glued on it. It already started flaking out in some places. It smells pretty badly, especially when you turn the lights on and the fabric warms up. I only can wonder what happens when I need to clean them the fabric case is not removable, and ruffles are so dust magnet, I don't know if I can have it clean enough by "spot clean only". I was extremely disappointed. For this kind of money, knowing the right places to shop, I could find something really of a nicer quality. The only reason I didn't return them is because I'd have to pay for the return shipping myself.

My advice for these kind of purchases better try to see it somewhere in person first, and then order online if you get lower price.
