A review above states that the lights are cracker box quality. They are a bit thin but they are built for wet conditions and I do not see anything that would suggest they wouldn't hold up. I have seen them used in other locations (outdoors) here where I live and they look like they are holding up to weather conditions. I think they look very nice on my home and it is easy to re-install light bulbs when needed as well. Not sure about using them in the house though, they are made for the outdoors.

This fixture was metal, not plastic, and seems solid enough. Unlike in the picture, however, there is no glass over the light bulb. Just be aware that your light bulb is exposed to the elements (although covered with a very large shade). Since a lot of the newer bulbs say you shouldn't put them in an enclosed fixture, this probably fits the bill.

Very nice lights, used them as coach lights around the outside of the house, liked them so much, purchased 2 additional lights for the bathroom beside the mirror over the sink.

Liked the looks of it but was a bit disappointed with how light weight and a plastic type quality. Wonder how well it will hold up to the outdoors?

I already knew these were lightweight fixtures. That aside it seems to be well made, nice finish (coming from a professional commercial/industrial painter).
