Installed new Symmons hand held in shower but the original hose rusted within a year, called Symmons who sent replacement hose, which also rusted after 6 months. Gave up on Symmons and ordered this American Standard hose as a replacement. Fits perfectly and seems to be of good quality. Seats perfectly in the Symmons holder.
I tried a Toto hose before this American Standard. The quality and weight of the Toto hose was amazing. Unfortunately, the Toto hose had a slightly different threading from my Symmons handheld but could be made to work without leaking if tightened hard. BUT chrome collar on Toto would not seat properly in the holder. It was too big and kept falling out.
The American Standard fit perfectly all around. If the finish holds up over time I will give this 5 stars. Until then I will rate it 4 stars.I am still enjoing this shower hose a year later. It is high quality and I would buy it again.
