Good magnification, decent lighting.. but the articulating arms are just too cheaply designed and weak, making it impossible to adjust the position of the lens easily, if you adjust them too far out then it can't bear the weight of the head anymore.
I recommend the 'daylight slimline magnifying mirror' instead, it has a much more substantial design and also enclosed springs.

This is the ELV (Electronic Low Voltage) dimmer used with low voltage lighting having electronic transformers (as opposed to MLV Magnetic).
After recently installing a cool low-voltage halogen chandelier, I found that my conventional $20 dimmer caused it to buzz and flicker due to the embedded 12V transformer in the fixture. The solution is an ELV unit such as this one. It otherwise works identically to any other dimmer, but without the flicker and buzz when used with low voltage lighting.
Really is no other choice if you have low voltage lighting that you want to dim.

very easy to install. I had purchased a 600W Lutron occupancy sensor dimmer (which was much less expensive) to try to be fancy with my kitchen electronics but all it did was cause the lights to flicker like a strobe light. After speaking with WAC lighting, they recommended this low voltage electronic dimmer. It's always good to call the lighting supplier first to see what dimmers they've tested their product with. It would have made the project that much faster. Works well with LED lights that need a low voltage dimmer. We have found that when working with LED lighting you need to be sure to research your lights, and match the dimmer to the lights. This dimmer was used with three Commercial Electric 4" LED Disk Light T47, which is notorious for buzzing with most LED light dimmers. This device works perfectly. However, one note that wasn't mentioned in any of the literature that I read while researching for a dimmer: This dimmer requires 3 wires to be connected! It must have distribution power (black) directly to it, then the other two wires yellow and neutral white wires sent to the light fixtures. As I was replacing a switch in an existing circuit where power is sent to the light fixtures and the switch is installed as two power leads where it interrupts the power to the light fixtures, this dimmer would not work. When we got these bulbs in the mail, they were packed nicebut two out of the six were broken, you could hear it in the box when you moved it. The two broken ones had impact breaks on the outside of the glass bulb as wellso this was not just one from the shipping, it actually hit something that broke it first. Bummer about the two lightbulbs, but when the other 4 went up, they looked great! Just what I wanted, minus a few bulbs :)

We installed new clear, bell-shaped pendants in our kitchen. These bulbs look really awesome. But, three out of the six arrived broken, so we returned them. We purchased 3 boxes of these bulbs for the new lights we purchased. I had read that others had encountered issues with broken bulbs but I decided to take a chance on these anyway, as the price was much lower than purchasing them at a retail lighting store. As far as the bulbs themselves, they are fantastic, and look absolutely stunning. We could not be happier with the way the lights look, and the warm glow that these bulbs cast. Best of all, I did not encounter any broken bulbs in the first two boxes. Alas, in the third box, three of the six bulbs were broken. Without that, our rating would probably have been 5 stars. These bulb are an excellent way to add a vintage feel to your home, without forking out for expensive light fittings. Yes, you're still paying more than you would for a standard light bulb but it's still a better deal on Amazon than what you'll find in a retail store.My only complaint is that one of the bulbs only lasted a few weeks. The bulb in question always gave off a slightly different color than the others so I can only assume it was dodgy to start with and probably made on a Friday afternoon.
Overall it's a good looking product at a reasonable price. Just make sure you use it in a location where you can show it off.

This fan was a replacement for a 29 yr old Casablanca that finally died. Same fan sold at Sam's Club for $25 more. Arrived in perfect condition. I did pay to have it installed and glad I did since sheetrock had to be cut and holes drilled to adapt it to the hanging hardware from the previous fan. No balancing of blades needed at any speed from the beginning( balance kit does come with fan hardware). Lightbulbs not included but you need a pair with the candalabra base, 60w max, and are $2/pair at Home Depot. Nice to have a cool den here in Dallas Texas!Bougt this fan for my mother to replace one that was about 30 years old. Simple install and looks great.

The only complaint I have for this desk lamp is that the only way to turn it on and off is at the bottom of the electric cord. There is no way at the base or the lightbulb to shut it off, so you have to go under the desk to turn the dial that is in the electric cord. If you put the dial on the desk, then all the whole cord is showing because they put the dial at the end of the cord close to where you plug it in. It is a sturdy lamp and a perfect size for my desk. I would suggest using the highest watt because it doesn't put off bright light with a regular night lightbulb.The area where the glass inserts go are actually plastic. Smaller and cheaper looking in person but works ok in our office

Review of DEWALT DC020 Cordless/Corded Worklight

YEARS ago I bought the dc022 earlier version of this lamp assy with dual chargers for 12 to 18V nicad packs (which I still use and keep in my truck its saved me from sudden darkness so many times I won't hesitate to have the new version). My only concern is that the dc022 protected the bulb really well by folding it flat against a metal plate to store it when the light assy is folded shut while the dc020 leaves the bulb exposed to the side. I do like the more compact and portable size of the dc022 as well as the lower weight, but miss the near 3 hour runtime with 2 XRP batteries and multi-voltage chargers loaded into the DC022. p.s. watch the price I've seen it move $20 down once in a while when amazon puts dewalt on sale
This would be a 5 star dewalt tool had they included a multi chemistry charger in the same manner the dc022 had 2 chargers built into it. Everything is there power, battery holder, and light so there is no excuse for not putting a lithium capable charger inside this unit which is why it's only 4 star rated. Dewalt did do a good job packing with the light packed separately, however be sure that you put the light cover aside exactly as it came off it has a rounded side and a flat side, so of the 4 possible re-attachment methods, only one works.
Having covered the 020's negatives, I like the smaller size of the DC020 for portability. The 022 is a big lamp with 3 gfci outlets and 2 chargers while the 020 adds more flexibility for batteries (but just one socket and no gfci I carry a separate gfci anyways) one less outlet, and perhaps a better design for portability.
The folded u shaped tube is used in many CF torcherie lamps that replace the hot burning 500watt halogen deisngs previously used. It is bright, aimaable, and since it runs on both the AC or DC sources in the DC020 fixture you are never left in the dark when murphy steps into the construction site by draining the generator tank, turning off the generator, unplugging your cord, or when the workers go home early and you have just a bit of work left so you don't have to come back tomorrow all those cases switch from AC to DC power on the light and the EXACT right time, just giving murphy an evil stare back when lights go out and yours stays on. That feature remains which makes this a great power failure light while working in places you can't afford to loose light if the AC mains drops for any reason.
I just wish it had a lithium charger I'd be alot more likely to try one lithium pack on my new tools if it had come with a charger like its predicessor, the dc022 did (charged 2 simultaneously)

I love these lights! (I bought one from a big box retailer and went back and bought another!) They're super bright and run very cool. Starts bright and takes about two minutes to get to full brightness.Much faster -and so much cooler in the garage with no A/C -than trying to set up and plug in my old-style Halogen lights on tripods. It takes just a few seconds to grab them and turn them on. Then I've learned how great they are and now I'm using them in the office for extra backlighting behind my desk. As it turns out, they're also great for computer work without glare (just aim at ceiling). They seem very tough, too. (Try to remember they're lights and made of glass, but it's easy to forget with such a sturdy housing!) There's a hard plexiglass cover over the bulb itself. The only con I've found is that they don't also charge the battery the way the radio does, as another reviewer noted, but that's no big deal to me. (Incidentally, the vacuum cleaner doesn't charge the batteries either.)
They're just fantastic. I can't address the reliability of the bulbs or ballasts, yet, but DeWALT makes good stuff. I'll post back if I have any problems.

I've had this light for almost two weeks and not very happy with it. You have to lay the light in your lap to insert the battery and turn the unit on for it to work, but when it works it works great. The 18v XRP battery lasted 90 minutes. I'm happy with that. However, I dropped the light down 4 steps at the work site and broke the bulb (it happens). I cannot believe bulbs are back ordered and cost $30 thru Dewalt's SeviceNet . Guess I'll take better care of it next time... Nice product. Works great with my 18volt xrp batteries. The bulb is a warm white color and not the cool white (4100k) that I prefer. Durable case. Weighs about as much as a battery. I looked at many onion style lamps--the Kenroy Hatteras line was of good quality for a great price. One word for this lamp... Elegant! The cord should be longer to reach the outlets, as we had to purchase a special extension cord (3prong for safety), but overall a beautiful natural look for any room.
