Hands down, we LOVE these lamps. I purchased 2 of these lamps for use on our nightstands in our bedroom. If you are considering purchasing the lamps, I recommend taking a tape measure and measuring where the lamp will go so that you have a visual. It is a little bit on the large size for a nightstand or small table. If you were going to place this on a console table, it's perfect, but for smaller tables, make sure that it's not too large for you. Also, I was concerned that based on the photo, the lamp would be quite gold. While there is a gold hue, it's not a yellow lamp. It's the perfect mix of silver/gold tones, beautiful mercury glass. I found that this was a really great lamp when comparing to other mercury glass lamps. Highly recommend!

I just got my Rio Grande wrought Iron floor Lamp and it fits right into our home perfectly so it feels like part of the family already. I like the simple attention demanding design, I could not stop looking at it once I got it set up which only took about 10 minutes after I got the boxes open. The daul bulb set up with separate pull chains gives me an option of two light settings. and the height is just right for reading in your easy chair which is where mines is. I purchased this lamp fo my living room to serve as a reading lamp next to my favorite easy chair. The lamp arrived in a timely manner, however, the shade was poorly packaged and arrived with several tears in it. After contacting the seller I received a new shade in perfect condition. The lamp is a great compliment to the rest of the furniture in my living room.

... the lamp finally came..by pony express.. had to be because ordered it July 18 delivery expected between 2429th shipped out 24th and 29th came and went... who else would use archaic methods of shipping in this day and age? On principle annoyed, but that aside, the lamp finally came packaged securely no damages. just had little assembly...and now i have a very good looking floor lamp in my living room. if i decided to order again, I would just stick to amazon prime, pay the extra, i d be guaranteed delivery when indicted.

I was unsure if this light would give off enough light for my computer hutch desk. I installed it just like I would under the kitchen cabinet. I am very pleased with the amount of light and the color of the lighting. I would recommend this light for undercabinets, it is the first LED lighting that I have found that is bright enough to be of any benefit.

This was my first electronics kit. I was worried I'd be too rookie at soldering and mess this up since it's got so many components, but it ended up working fine. For anyone new to soldering, just take your time, have a clear well lit space, and read up a bit on soldering to make sure you do it right. It's surprisingly easy.

Fine tuning took me a couple hours of turning the settings half a degree this way and that way. It works fine without fine tuning but I'm picky and I wanted it as perfect as possible.

The picture doesn't show it but this also comes with a small black box with a transparent cover to put this in for whatever installation you might use it in, and a sensitivity dial that can be put somewhere more accessible than the circuit.

I'm not too fond of the connectors it came with to wire up the lights power and audio, but they work fine.

This is a good electronic project. Not only do you get to sharpen your soldering skills but you can have fun looking at the schematic and seeing what exactly happens. My only complaint is that my Mid Freq doesn't work. I am have tried debugging it but I haven't figured out what is wrong! but I am going to give the company the benefit of doubt in that they didn't send me any defective components. the other frequencies work fine although they are very sensitive sometimes the LED's stay on without blinking when play some of my Dubstep music. Overall it does what I want and it was fun putting it together!

I've installed my fair share of light fixtures, and this one was probably the most problematic to install for several reasons:

1) The base of it is barely large enough to cover a standard 4x4" junction box. The hole in my sheetrock was slightly larger than that, and off-center. So I had to gerry rig two mounting brackets together to give me the flexibility to shift the lamp base down far enough to cover the hole.

2) There is foil-backed fiberglass insulation behind the lamp to prevent the heat of the halogen lamp from melting the insulation on the wires. However, the fiberglass kept shifting when I tried to install it, obscuring the hole through which the threaded nipple must be inserted. It takes two hands to hold the lamp, and a third hand to push the fiberglass out of the way.

Once installed, however, the lamp is very attractive, and the light is extremely bright. In fact, I plan to install a dimmer to tone it down a little. Another reviewer mentioned fitting the fixture with a higher wattage halogen, because he thought the included bulb was too dim. Installing a higher wattage bulb is not recommended and could result in the lamp overheating. I can't imagine needing more light than this lamp puts out.

The lamp also came with a spare bulb. I didn't check to see if it was the same wattage as the installed bulb. There also are two different diffusers. One is clear glass, and the other is frosted. I used the frosted diffuser, although I didn't see any appreciable difference in lighting. The globe itself is frosted,which serves to diffuse light directed downward. Light directed upward, however, is not diffused by the globe, which is open on top.

We had these model in one area and they looked good. We needed more as our remodel moved into adjacent areas. Had trouble finding this model through conventional lighting sources. Amazon had several. They came in perfect condition which was better than the condition offered. Very easy to install and have a modern look. They cast a good light, too.

For the price it is a great little lamp. Just right for the nautical theme in my sitting room. I would have given it 5 stars except the glass sits a little crooked in the wire cage that surrounds it and cannot safely be moved for fear of breaking. Still I am enjoying the lamp very much.

I love this lamp for my coastal style guest bedroom. BUT...the delivery was an issue. I ordered two lamps and one globe was broken. It wasn't packed too well. So, the company (not Amazon) sent us another one right a way. It was packed differently so it wasn't broken BUT the lamp didn't work then it was plugged in. Believe me, we tried everything from different light bulb to different sockets. So, again, we contact the company and was send out another one asap. Third one perfect!!! Caution...the color of the shade is deceiving in the picture. I thought was a standard linen shade but in person it's got a yellowish tint in it but it works out in my cottage style guest bedroom because we a little light yellow in the bedspread. It's really is a good buy!!!

Nice lamp and nice size for a pair on my mantle, but it's not clear glass. It's definetly got a bluish/ rainbow hue to it. I was under the impression it would be white clear glass. I kept the pair I ordered because they were the closest thing to what I was looking for.
