Reviews of George Kovacs GK Lightrail P2001-467 Light Kit-Plug-In Sable Bronze
Im lighting my kitchen with two tracks led lighting. Im very pleased one, that I could ever make a purchase like this and subsequently have good lighting as a result and two, even though led's represent a higher order of technology they maintain an attractive esthetic while doing so. In an apocalyptic future they would provide a source of light supported only by batteries charged by solar array? A thoughtful amenity, that might be, just in case!

WAC Lighting WL-LED100-C-BN LED Step Light Rectangular Scoop Review

These stair lights fit sideways mounted Carlon Single Gang Boxes and run off of 120v AC line power -the ultimate in flexibility, since no low voltage transformer is required.
Two other outdoor rated LED fixtures we considered were from American Lighting, $85 and Royal Pacific, $25, but we preferred the non-louvered look of the WAC light.
First, some installation notes:
This fixture does not play well with adjustable wall boxes due to the adjustment screw and plastic moulding that protrudes into box interior. One of our three installation locations was into one of these, and I used a Dremel to cut and grind away the necessary clearance. **This type of box may work with less fuss if the box is mounted with the adjustment screw mounted at the bottom edge, but in my tests, there was still interference in the last quarter inch of insertion.
The white mounting bracket has two unneeded "ears" on it, designed (I think) for use with WAC's vertical mount step light. Cut at least one of these ears of (again, Dremel & cut-off disc) to prevent it from restricting your ability to push the wires back into the box during installation. (see my photo attached to this review)
The light does not come with the screws necessary to affix the mounting bracket to the wall box. You'll need either 8-32 x 3/4" (or 1") for plastic boxes, or 6-32 x 1/2" for metal. Countersink or Oval heads preferred, to prevent the bump of the screw head from interfering with the light fixture. Of course, the holes on the mounting bracket are not countersink drilled, so you'll need to pick up a countersink bit to handle this detail yourself. (see attached photos)
Thankfully, this light comes with push-in wire connectors. No wire twisting is necessary, which is almost a requirement, because there's very little room left in the box for the wires once the fixture is in place. These 3-port connectors allow an extra port for the light to be wired in series.
Speaking of wires, make sure your supply wires are sticking out of the box ABOVE the mounting bracket. If you bring them under the mounting bracket, there will be wires trapped between the fixture and bracket, obstructing a full seat.
The installation instructions referenced rubber seals (o-rings) that fit around the fixture mounting screws. I didn't find them in the kit, so unless they were pre-installed on the holes, I'm not using this extra layer of protection. But these screws are so well protected from the elements that I'm not concerned about them becoming a water entry point.
In spite of the provided stick-on rubber seal included in the box, WAC recommends using silicone caulking around the perimeter to keep water intrusion in check. For me, this was a given due to our rough stucco exterior, but it sounds as though the manufacturer is advising this for wood and concrete as well. For what it's worth, the innards of the fixture are all completely enclosed and presumably sealed.
In use, I find these to provide a good circle of usable light. Ours are mounted at three different heights due to careless planning/placement while setting forms or our concrete foundation wall. I find the one about a foot off the step provides very good light for about three steps, with good light cast out nearly three feet from the wall. If I were planning for these from the start, I'd go with one fixture for every 5 stairs (or fixture placement every 5 steps apart), and no more than 1 tread away from either the first or last tread of any section. I'd plan for mounting heights of 16 inches.
I also found that, even when installed in an area lighted with wall-mount porch lights, the absence of a step light (even right under the porch light) stands out as a dark spot. If I had a "do over," I would have continued these all the way to the top of the stairs, with no regard for porch light placement.
Based on my relatively positive experience with these fixtures, they're a heavy contender to use on our interior stairs, too.

I bought the WAC WL-LED100-C-WT rectangular scoop step light to be a permanent replacement for inexpensive night lights that I'd been plugging into receptacles in our hall to light the way to the bathroom (or wherever at night). Unlike the night lights I had, this light barely protrudes from the wall at all. It's surprisingly bright for a night light, but at my request my electrician installed it on a dimmer so I can control the brightness. My electrician liked it a lot too (he'd never seen this model before) but he's seen more lights than I have so his approval seems worth noting. I wanted LED to keep electricity costs down and also so I wouldn't need to replace the bulb anytime soon (but I believe the bulb is replaceable don't have the specs handy so can't guarantee this but bulbs aren't replacable on the night lights that I'd been using.Best Deals for WAC Lighting WL-LED100-C-BN LED Step Light Rectangular Scoop

Ordered 2 lights at first. Once installed we decided to purchase another fixture and continue the theme into the laundry area downstairs. The lighting is great! We installed on a dimmer so we could adjust the light level in the room. Shipping was very quick and the quality was better than expected. If you are going for a lodge feel these lights help create that.We bought this light kit along with an antler scroll kit to create an antler ceiling fan. It looks great in our house. The light kit worked with a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan we bought from Lowes.

Amarante Heritage 15 3/4" High Outdoor Post Light Review

I bought this light for my front walkway that has steps and I was afraid someone would fall and hurt themselves.
The light arrived fast, with instructions, was easy to install and gives great light to the area. WIth the energy cell, it turns on at dusk and off in the morning. Now when I travel or even late coming home in the evening, the light is always on.
I also like the light itself. The glass is frosted and you don't get blinded looking directly at it, but it also gives plenty light to make the steps visible.
I am planning to get matching lights over the front door.

Cheap plastic shade and base. Not any kind of glass that I know or and not the type of glass my other 2 Tiffany Style lamps are madeof. Way too small to be a table lamp more of a desk lamp and NO weight to it at all. About to get things started to send it back to Amazon. Definately not worth the 146.00 I paid for it!!!This is the most beautiful lamp I have. I love how the light plays through the glass and "jewels." I have two other tiffany-style lamps that are very pretty too, but this is the Queen of the collection! Very good quality at a good price.

Best Hampton Lamp Deals
I have the entire Hampton Nursery Collection as gift from my Baby Registry, incluided this lamp.... This Lamp is beautiful and has excellent finished!!
the cap is made in good and durable material easy to clean.
the pedestal with figurines is elaborated in polyresin carved and painted delicately.
the tones are light colors.
I recommend this lamp is nice for the boy's room and is hard to find nautical bedding accessories in any store.I Also bought the entire Hampton collection. The Lamp arrived within two days of ordering it. It's absolutly gorgeous! It doesn't look cheap at all. In fact I've seen similar lamps at the art shops in our area and they go for a hefty price. The lamp shade is durable and easy to wipe down. I'm completely satisfied with my purchase and would recommend any or all pieces of this collection to anyone who loves the Nautical theme.

I really like this lighting set. Pay attention to the measurements though on the 2 lamps, I didn't realize they were this size until I checked back on the product page to verify measurements. Though not as big as I hoped, they are still very pretty and elegant. They fit my end tables in my living room very well and supply plenty of lighting. The lamp shade is simple and basic, just what I was looking for. I recommend this set to anyone who doesn't want to spend a ton of money but wants something very classy looking that does the job.

I really bought this for the two smaller lamps for my bedroom, but I figured for the price an extra lamp wouldn't be hurt. These are very nice quality and came well packed, so there was no fear of any of them breaking. I was actually surprised at how heavy the tall lamp was. A little assembly is required; just screw them together and you are good to go. I would definitely recommend them!Best Deals for Contemporary Lamp Trio
I bought this set months ago and I love it! They look very classy looking and would be a great addition to any room in the house because they can be dressed up or down. I like the face that the shades are plain but they can easily be spray painted or adorned (which I may do in the future)to suit your taste. I actually am going order another set to cover more lighting in our larger than I thought BR!Honest reviews on Contemporary Lamp Trio
Was a good price for three lamps and they are pretty bright. Easy to clean and they are light, so I can easily move them around the house.
