This really is a very pretty light, but I was not prepared for the size of the glass shades. At their largest points, they are 5 1/4" high and 7 1/8" wide, so they project from the wall quite a bit! (The specifications did not include information specifically on the shades.) Unfortunately, the shades cannot be replaced with other, smaller shades because of the way that they mount into the fixture. The light is much too big for my small bathroom, so I had to return it. Blue Marble Lighting, the vendor, was terrific about responding promptly to my questions and helping me with the return, but I still had to pay a 20% restocking fee as well as the S&H to return it.

Ordered this for my bathroom vanity. Easy install if you have any electrical experience. I added a pull chain to operate this light. A qualified electrician can do this for you because it requires drilling into fixture and adding other parts. Can be installed up or down. Shades gives good bright light. This was a concern since I was replacing fixture with clear shades. Brushed nickel looks nice. Bold but delicately elegant. Very very satisfied.

The metallic look is a light silver rather than a typical Brushed Nickel, having said that, it is quite gorgeous, unless you are a stickler for matching your metallic appearance, this is one nice fixture it is delicate, slightly on the classical side, not something that will go out of vogue soon.

I had it installed by professionals, so I can not speak to its ease of installation or otherwise.

We thought that our bulbs were burning out too quickly, sometimes in a day. Fortunately, wisdom sat in, we found that the problem was with the fixture, since the bulbs worked in another fixture. This was just the fix that we needed. Love the fixture!

Decent quality, arrived quickly, well-packed and undamaged. One minor complaint to manufacturer it would be nice to color-code the wires. Saves us from 'buzzing out' the center terminal (to determine which wire to attach to the hot lead) with an ohmmeter.

What a wonderful solution to my ugly chandelier. This product arrived on time in a professionally-packed box and had no defects. The quality of the shade fabric and workmanship is excellent. The beige/white shade gives off a warm glow, and combining that glow with my dimmer on the switch makes it simply perfect. I had always hated the glass globes on the chandelier that I inherited from the seller of this home, however the metal color was really nice. For so little money, my problem is solved. I have only two criticisms: first, the hook that goes high up on your existing chandelier chain looks a bit cheap, although it functions adequately. Secondly, if you are looking for instructions about how best to adjust the hardware for the shade height, forget it! This piece arrived with a ridiculous small piece of paper with a stick drawing and a couple of identifications that did not match the contents. A purchaser would appreciate a better diagram and a short set of instructions about how best to shorten the hanging wires and level the shade. Otherwise, the rest of the hardware on this shade is outstanding and discreet. This is a fabulous shade and I intend to buy a second one.

I really like this shade. It has added an elegant look to our dining room chandelier, which is heavy black wrought iron. We had french country individual shades before and this really has transformed the look! Easy to install too.

I Also bought the entire Hampton collection. The Lamp arrived within two days of ordering it. It's absolutly gorgeous! It doesn't look cheap at all. In fact I've seen similar lamps at the art shops in our area and they go for a hefty price. The lamp shade is durable and easy to wipe down. I'm completely satisfied with my purchase and would recommend any or all pieces of this collection to anyone who loves the Nautical theme.
