I was given this lamp as a gift and used it daily for about 6 months then it started to strobe instead of giving steady light. Sometimes I can turn it on and it will work fine and the next time I turn it on it blinks on and off and is totally unusuable.

I purchased this lamp back in Jan of 2012. Used it daily for many hours without a problem. Great task lighting with good output. Nice clean brightness. But..last night I turned it off and went to bed. This morning I went to turn it on and nothing. Dead. I was out of the Amazon return window by about 17 months.
So I called Mighty Bright Directly and inquired on their warranty. 1 Year warranty is what I was told and I said darn missed it by about this much . The rep asked me what was going on and I told him it wouldn't go on this morning. He immediately told me he would send another FREE of charge and to dispose of the old one...that they shouldn't just die unless it was defective. Even though this was way out of the window of warranty/return, he helped me with no stress or aggravation. It's a good product and I would have bought another without thinking about it. NOW I definitely will be buying another, and giving them as gifts as well.
